A STORY ABOUT HOW DID A “BOY” BECOME A “GIRL”

On May 17th of 1994, a baby named Jing Huang born in Guangdong, China

I’m the only child in my family.(as the whole world knows China has a one-child policy)

My dad was a traditional Chinese man who thought boys are better than girls.

Don’t worry, my parents love me a lot. They just raised me up like a boy.

However, one thing happened that changed me.

I love singing since I was little.

I got in to Shenzhen Lily Choir during my high school years.

While song and live with those beautiful girls, I learned how to be a girl.

I made some life long friends in the choir.

Then started a new chapter of my life in Pepperdine.

Caring the love my friends gave me, I kept singing in my journey in Pepperdine.

And I made new friends in the Pepperdine Women’s chamber Choir.

And had an amazing academic life.

In the future I will stay strong as a girl.
