Entertainment & culture around railway stations:

To make waiting at the station less boring and maybe even funny

Examples: Piano stairs with sound at Stockholm

subway station

Christmas tree, at Utrecht Central, with LED’s that change color after sending a text message

Flashmobs at a station

opportunities for the future

Page 13: Presentation phase 1 new

Supply of information around railway stations:

People need to know where to go, at what time and how they get there

Certain things could be done better, like information with delays, same info more spreaded and maybe info about what is going on in Delft

Examples: Information in a way people can’t miss it and is easy to understand Personal travel information (something like 9292ov.nl) Short movies, text and/or images about the Spoorzone project, with

regular updates

opportunities for the future

Page 14: Presentation phase 1 new

Interaction around railway stations:

For entertainment and information as well

Examples: Human- human: objects that invite

people to relax and talk to each other Human-machine: something like

the christmas tree in Utrecht Machine-human-machine: screens

that display messages, music or images that people can send with their mobile phones
