WHAT’S WITH THE NAME?

The Pancake Epidemic is a site-specific project by infamous creative director and brand strategist, Darren Romanelli (a.k.a. Dr. Romanelli). Located in one of last remaining Art Deco buildings above the original International House of Pancakes of Los Angeles, TPE drew its inspiration from the

communal experience of coffee and breakfast.

Wes Lang Print Release

ABOUT

Born in Chatham, New Jersey, now living and working in Los Angeles, Wes Lang has shown at galleries and museums around the world. His raw, intensely personal work defies our shared conceptions of history, music and art. The Pancake Epidemic debuted the work of the renowned contemporary artist’s Grateful Dead inspired print, “Warrior Skull”. Invitations to recognized galleries and art collectors created energy for the release. As a result of this energy generated at TPE, the “Warrior Skull” print sold out within days of its release. The success garnered another print release for Wes Lang’s work, “All I Know, All I See”.
