Entry RequirementsSuccessful completion of the Juris Doctor Program with a gross weighted average of 80% or higher.
The following modules must have been completed on the Juris Doctor Program:
Commercial Law Review, Special Problems in Business Law Practice, and three courses from this list:
- Law on Admiralty
- Law on Natural Resources
- Banking Law
- Taxation Law Review
- International Taxation
- Corporate Governance
- International Investments and Incentives Law
- International Information Technology Law
- Corporate Finance
- European Business Law
English Proficiency Requirement: IELTS 6.5 or accepted equivalent
Career Opportunities
The LLM in International Business Law provides successful graduates with career opportunities in various areas of international business, either as a legal adviser or in a non-legal capacity. Some students specialise as international business lawyers whilst other previous students have gone on to work for organisations effecting international business such as the IMF, World Bank, and the international trade departments of the United Nations. Given the focus on economic development in emerging countries, the LLM in International Business Law could also open the way for careers in development-related work.
