45 years of age) awarded by the Zoological Society of Pakistan on Research contributions among various fields of Natural Sciences.

December 2003 Won Pakistan Academy of Sciences/Infaq Foundation Award for the best Zoologist of the year 2002

Research Productivity Award, RPA. I consistently won performance based research productivity award RPA ever since 2007 till 2012 and continuously being listed among the productive scientists of Pakistan, offered by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology. This award is offered on the quality publications, impact factor and citations of a scientist.

PROFESSIONAL APTITUTDE: EEO, OH&S and EAPS policies: I am highly jeffersonian mind and believe in strong participatory inputs, that is why most of my publications are reflective of my shared research contribution with people from diverse community structure. In my opinion, with teamwork, one may achieve a multidimensional and multi-disciplinary approach to the work. Of course, it is impossible to have such approach, without effective working relationship and understanding with supporting staff and other stakeholders. Teaching at tertiary and Advanced level students and leading some innovative applied and basic research. Also serving as Seniormost professor of the university in building its academic infrastructure. 27 July, 2016 – December 11, 2017 Served as Chairman, Department of Zoology, Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan. As Chairman, I supervised some 24 staff and some 664 tertiary/advanced level students enrolled in my department. For the first time ever in Ghazi University, I took an initiative to start MPhil in Zoology degree programme. Therefore, at present some 110 MPhil students are enrolled in the Department. 02 October, 2016 – December 11, 2017 Served as Treasurer, Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan. As Director Finance/ Treasurer, I used the delegated DDO powers to execute and finance all relevant treasury issues including recurring and non-recurring costs and developmental expenditures. During the course of my tenure, I overcome the budgetary deficit through appropriate financial adjustments and raised university income from 300 million in 2016-17 FY to 610 million in 2017-18 budget, without raising fee for our students. some 554 new vacancies in the budget for 2017-18, where 270 for Academic staff and 284 for General Administration and supporting staff to the new university for institutional building, good governance and for the promotion of overall academic upbringing. 07 October, 2016 – December 11, 2017 Served as Dean Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Ghazi University, D. G. Khan. As Dean FMSS I over-headed the academic issues of the Departments of Economics, Education, Sociology and the Business Administration. 22 June, 2012 – November 19, 2012 Served as Director, Institute of Pure & Applied Biology, BZU I managed some 48 staff members including 23 teaching faculty and some 980 tertiary/advanced level students enrolled in my Institute. There I also had some 4 million worth of departmental expenditure funds on my discretion. We regularly publish some good number of scientific articles in peer review journals of international repute. The institute comprises three divisions with current degree programmes in BS/MSc/MPhil./Ph.D. in Zoology and Botany and aiming for Microbiology and Genetics programme in near future. 22 October, 2011 – 21 July, 2012 Served as Director, BZU sub-campus D. G. Khan I managed some 120 staff members including 90 teaching faculty members and some 1350 tertiary/advanced level students were enrolled in my campus. My team helped generate annual funds averaging some 25 million PRs and also helped prevailing conducive working environment at campus for research and educational activities to the local human resource. In few months’ tenure, by utilising DDO powers, I organised and purchased three Hino buses for transportation by utlising some extra 20 Million funds that were donated by the PM for the campus buses. I followed the rules of business in just and transparent matter while designating impartial committees so that the transparency and honesty could well be maintained. These state of the art, three buses are at present serving in transport fleet of the Ghazi University. In order to strengthen the faculty, I helped raise permanent teaching faculty status to more than 50% of my contractually appointed colleagues so that they may focus on their professional duties with piece of mind and accelerated zeal. I managed to ensure continuous supply of safe drinking water at New Campus facility for my staff and students. Helped students to raise their career and capacity building and professionalism by interactive class and extra curricular activities so that our students should become well-disciplined and responsible members of the civil society. Responsibilities as explained in Associate Professor position below. 22 August 2008 – 21 August 2009 Visiting HEC Postdoctoral Fellow, The ANU Wildcountry Research and policy Hub, The Fenner School of Environment & Society, College of Science, The Australian National University, Canberra. I worked on developing a net primary productivity NPP model and a variety of bird species involved to food niche and to see the effect of bird movement, behaviour with change in temperature and net primary productivity in continent Australia due to climate change. 11 May 2005 – 24 March 2006 As Visiting Research Fellow, Zoology Department, University of Melbourne, based at Longerenong College, Horsham, Victoria, Australia. I worked under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. David Morgan, in the Wimmera district on an animal mobility model and its effects on population density estimation. The model produced reliable results and will potentially be able to estimate reliable data on other wildlife population density estimation studies. While estimating the speed of a bird, this model applies zero physical stress to target birds, it is easy to perform and needs only one person to take data. As a member of farm management committee, supervised annual auction of university farms on annual basis and helped increase annual lease of university farm from Rs.4000 per acre to Rs. 20000 per acre, while bringing healthy competition among stakeholders.

As a member of Afforestation and Wildlife Committee, helped organising tree plantation and motivation among students and staff members in conservation, protection of our biological natural resources.

Rural Community Development: Over 15 years working experience with rural and agricultural communities for socioeconomic uplift by introducing sustainable development, control of pest species and low cost projects marked by using Participatory Rural Appraisal and Rapid Rural Appraisal techniques. Aquaculture Development: Four years of practical experience in aquaculture development for cost effective freshwater fisheries projects introduced in rural communities.
