Message from the President Hello Wonderful RESA Members:
I can’t believe another year has passed and this is my last letter to you all as
President. It has been an incredible adventure seeing RESA continue to give back
and remain a vital piece of the KMC, making a difference in this community far
beyond what I could ever imagine!
Thank you so much for entrusting me to lead this organization!
In serving as your President, I have been honored and humbled to be able to see
firsthand just how much of a difference RESA makes in our local community. Every
single person that I have ever met with in regards to RESA business has always had
something positive to say about our incredible organization and all the wonderful
things we do. This is a direct reflection of YOU, our members, and the relentless
effort you all give to make RESA the best it can be and to always keep our
community at the forefront of our efforts. I seriously cannot thank you enough for
everything you have given to drive this organization forward. As with everything in
life, there have been ups and downs, but regardless, RESA has always stood strong on our morals and mission, continuing
to make a difference. And just to prove to you just how wonderful you are and how much of a difference you have made,
I’d like to share some important numbers with you…
In 2017 alone, RESA:
Gave more than $81,000 back to our local community supporting programs such as Deployment Buddies, KMC Schol-
arships, AWAG, KMC Schools, Wing
Recognition Ceremonies, Scouts, other Private Organizations and Booster Clubs, and many more
Members volunteered over 6,000 hours in our local community
Served more than 250 Airmen during Quarterly Birthday Dinners
Hosted two Deployed Family events and supported at least 4 others
Provided sixteen meals to Landstuhl Fisher Houses, feeding more than 320 people
Raised $2,010 for the KMC 5/6 Viking Challenge
Donated $4464.96 to Angel Tree during our Quartermania event
Raised over $9961.73 at two lemonade stands
Recognized over 60 spouses at the Chief and Senior NCO Induction Ceremonies
Provided four meals to Ramstein Club 7, feeding more than 300 Airmen
Managed the KMC Gift Wrap fundraiser for more than 90 Private Organizations
Started off Belle’s Boutique and continued supporting the RESA Thrift Shop
And SO much more!!!
In short, RESA rocks!
I’d especially like to thank the fantastic 2017 Board members that put so much effort into making this year a success. You
have all given countless hours of service and dedication to RESA and our local community. I cannot thank you enough for
your leadership in this organization. I have no doubt that Ms. Kendra Anthony and the rest of the 2018 Executive Board
will continue to move RESA forward over the course of the next year. I look forward to seeing exactly what the future
holds!
Thank you again for everything you have each contributed! I look forward to continuing to volunteer and have fun along-
side each one of you for the remainder of my time here in the KMC.
Happy Holidays All!
Krista

My favorite 2017 RESA moment was helping at the Deployed Family Bowling Event. We
worked with the AFRC to let the families of deployed Spouses have a night of fun and
relaxation together. My family was a sweet woman with 2 young and very shy girls. Although I
was there to serve them food, watch and help the children, etc, the mother insisted that I bowl
with them. Every time the older girl went to bowl, she would make sure I watched her and
would smile at me after. A small conversation told me that the husband and father hadn't been
deployed long at that point, but I still gave her some tips of what helped me pass 2
deployments faster. By the end of the event, the girls didn't want to leave me and their mother
felt just a little bit better about the time apart. Military love is hard, so I love events like this
one that I can help others make it just a little bit easier. - Amanda Rummel
"There have been
so many amazing times
this year for RESA. My most favorite
RESA moment this year was when we
Payed It Forward by paying for people's
groceries at the commissary. It reminded
me of how much we give back to our
KMC community and what RESA is really
all about!" -Krista Wirley
Being on the Exec Board
was a lot of fun. My favorite thing
about being on the board is doing the Pay it forward every
month. It is so much fun to give a gift to someone when
they least expect it. The looks on their faces and the
gratitude they give makes your day. I also love going on
the wonderful appreciation trips and getting to know
some of the members better. I really enjoy being apart of
RESA and have had a great time with all the girls on the
board. - Stephanie Croteau
2017
One of my favorite RESA
moments this year was the June Bug Out
event. The teachers at Ramstein Elementary
were so grateful to have help cleaning out
classrooms and getting set up
for the next school year.—Colleen Gaudette
I have trouble picking my most favorite
moment. Every moment I spent volunteering
this year has been met with smiles, laughter
and unforgettable memories. I have come out
of my comfort zone this year and it is all thanks
to RESA and the wonderful people of this
organization. - Nicole Little
