Speakers LISA BEAUDOIN, CMA, CAE Director of Educational Partnerships, IMA

As Director of Educational Partnerships for IMA, Lisa works with companies and educational institutions around the world to create awareness of the benefits of membership in a professional association, as well as the benefits of earning the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) credential. Prior to joining IMA, she was the Accounting department chair at Cleary University in Ann Arbor, Mich. Earlier in her career, Lisa held various accounting and finance positions at Ford Motor Company, Ford Credit, and IBM Corporation. She received her bachelor of business administration from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and her MBA from the University of San Diego.

KATHLEEN DOWNS Vice President, Robert Half Finance & Accounting

Kathleen Downs is a vice president for Robert Half Finance & Accounting in Orlando, Fla. In her role, Kathleen fosters client relationships and recruits and places accounting and finance professionals. Prior to joining Robert Half in 2000, Kathleen spent 11 years at the American Embassy Association in Germany in a variety of roles, including her most recent as CEO. She then began her career with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, where she handled finance, accounting, and operations duties throughout the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Germany. Kathleen is actively involved with a wide variety of nonprofit associations. Kathleen holds an MBA from Boston University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland, where she was also an adjunct professor for six years while living abroad.

ADRIEN DUBOURG, CMA President and Managing Director, Descartes Consulting LLC

Adrien has nearly a decade of experience in finance supporting CFOs with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) responsibilities. He got involved in business intelligence initiatives by implementing data warehouse tools and online dashboards to provide real-time performance indicators. Throughout the years and across different industries, he worked with CFOs to reengineer consolidation and budgeting processes and to design robust accounting data architecture to optimize reporting of financial and nonfinancial metrics. Recently, he started his own consulting business and is helping medium­sized organizations transition to more cost-effective and efficient financial planning processes. Adrien holds two master's degrees in Finance and Management from France. He's a CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) lead instructor at the University of Dallas and has served the IMA Dallas Chapter as a Board Director of Academic Relations for more than three years. He just received the Young Professional of the Year Award for his services with the IMA.

AMY FORD, CMA, CPA Senior Associate Faculty, Western Illinois University

Amy is an accounting instructor at Western Illinois University, where she teaches Principles of Financial and Managerial Accounting courses, as well as Advanced Management Accounting. Amy is a CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) and has won a 2011 Certificate of Distinguished Performance for earning one of the top overall scores on the CMA exam. She's the faculty advisor for Western Illinois University's IMA student chapter and was the 2011 Ursel K. Albers Academic Mentor of the Year. Prior to teaching, Amy worked at a public accounting firm.

CLARK JONES Vice President of Finance, Global Marketing, Sales, Travel Operations, Technology and Public Affairs at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts

Clark is a 20-year veteran of The Walt Disney Company's theme park business. He leads approximately 60 professional "cast members" in various financial roles that work closely with his partners on strategies and plans to further build the Disney brand, generate demand, manage both consumer direct and trade channels, and help drive revenue growth. Prior to Clark's current position, he served as vice president of Finance, Domestic Site Operations; vice president of Finance, Disneyland Resort Operations; vice president of Finance, Products & Services; and director of finance, Marketing, Sales & Travel Operations. Clark's pre-Disney experience was with Deloitte & Touche as a senior auditor in the Denver, Colo., area. Clark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He earned an MBA from the University of Florida at Gainesville.

COLBY JUBENVILLE, Ph.D. Principal, Red Herring Innovation and Design

Colby is an accomplished author, speaker, professor, entrepreneur, and inventor. He is special assistant to the dean for Student Success and Strategic Partnerships at Middle Tennessee State University and is principal of Red Herring Innovation and Design, an agency specializing in helping people and organizations become better known and better understood and helps them better understand the unique value they deliver. He regularly speaks about his book Zebras and Cheetahs, which teaches others how to look different, run faster, and stay agile in order to survive in the business jungle and consults with medium and large companies as well as corporate clients throughout the United States.

PAUL JURAS, CMA, Ph.D. Professor of Accountancy, Chair of the Accounting & Law Division, Babson College

Paul is a professor of Accountancy and Chair of the Accounting & Law Division at Babson College, where he teaches Managerial Accounting and Strategic Cost Management courses in the full-time MBA program, evening MBA program, and the blended-learning Fast-Track MBA program. Before joining Babson, Paul taught at Wake Forest University. Paul earned both his bachelor of business administration and MBA from Pace University and his Ph.D. from Syracuse University. He has published articles in numerous journals, including the Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance, Issues in Accounting Education, The CPA Journal, and Strategic Finance. Paul's latest research interests focus on contemporary cost management systems. Currently, he's working as a coauthor of a cost management text, creating a series of cases with a cost management perspective, and developing an MBA elective in healthcare cost management and control.

C.S. "BUD" Kulesza, CMA, CFM Dean Emeritus, IMA Leadership Academy

Bud is a highly accomplished business professional with outstanding multinational, multi-industry experience. His financial expertise combined with business acumen and leadership skills have led to his success as the CFO of ITT Automotive, a multibillion dollar global company, and a respected leader of the accounting profession as a former IMA Global Chair. Bud is a lifetime member of the IMA Global Board of Directors and the Dean Emeritus of the IMA Leadership Academy. He was named by Accounting Today as one of the top 100 most influential persons in accounting. He has been published in a wide range of accounting journals and has been interviewed on "Money Radio" and CNN's "Money Wheel." Bud earned an associate degree in accounting from the Middlesex County Community College and his bachelor's degree in commerce from Rider University.

ABISHEK MEHTA Founder and CEO, Tresata

Abhishek is the founder and CEO of Tresata, the first analytics company to unleash the power of financial data and solve massive business problems. In a short span of three years, he has built Tresata into one of the fastest­growing Big Data startups, redefining how software is built, sold, and delivered by building it all in the Hadoop stack. Abhishek is recognized as one of the most influential thinkers, visionaries, and practitioners in the world of Big Data. His history is a rich combination of stints as a radical technology expert and as a practical, in-the-trenches business leader. His experience

includes two years as Executive-in-Residence at MIT Media Lab, nine years as Managing Director at Bank of America, and leadership positions at Cognizant Technology Solutions and Arthur Andersen. He's a much-sought­after speaker on the topics of data analytics, emerging business models, and all customary intersections of the two.

LAURA MOORE, CMA, CPA Senior Reinsurance Account Specialist, Hannover Life Reassurance Company of America

As the Senior Reinsurance Account Specialist at Hannover Life Reassurance Company of America, Laura is responsible for auditing/reconciling client accounting statements. Her prior experience was as staff accountant at Central Florida Press and as an audit intern for two companies in Alabama. Laura earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration, majoring in accounting from the University of Alabama. Laura was chair of the accounting tutoring program at the University of Alabama and held review sessions for 50-60 students at a time. She currently serves on the board of IMA's Mid-Florida Chapter and is one of the instructors for the CMA Test Prep Course at the University of Central Florida.

BENJAMIN MULLING, CMA, CPA, CITP Chief Financial Officer, TENTE Casters, Inc.; IMA Chair 2015-2016

Ben is CFO of TENTE Casters, Inc., a multinational manufacturer of mobility solutions to the institutional and medical markets. He assumed this position at the age 28. Prior to this position, he was the company's controller. Ben has a long history of leadership with IMA, beginning with his service on IMA's inaugural Young Professionals Committee in 2008. Since then, he has served three terms on IMA's Global Board of Directors, on IMA's Planning and Development Committee, and as chair of the Performance Oversight and Audit Committee. In addition, he supports the profession as an adjunct instructor of management accounting at Indiana Wesleyan University and Xavier University, and he helped establish an onsite CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) exam review course at Xavier University. Ben received an undergraduate degree in accounting from Northern Kentucky University and an MBA from Liberty University.

BRIAN NEALE, CMA, CPA Finance Manager, General Mills

Brian serves as finance manager for the General Mills Frozen Division. During his seven-year tenure at the company, Brian has assumed many different roles and responsibilities. His initial rotation was in the Controller's department at the General Mills corporate headquarters, where he worked on Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) financial reporting and technical accounting policy. Following that role, he moved to Buffalo, N.Y., serving as the assistant controller at a manufacturing site, accountable for the financial operations and control environment of a plant. His next stop was finance manager for General Mills' Walmart sales team in Bentonville, Ark. Since 2013, he returned to the corporate headquarters as finance manager for the company's Meals division. Brian is one of the recipients of the 2015 IMA Young Professional of the Year award. Brian earned both his bachelor's degree and master of science in accounting from Michigan State University and is currently attending Duke University as he pursues an MBA.

MARC P. PALKER, CMA Principal, MPP Associates, Inc.; IMA Chair-Elect 2015-2016

Marc has more than 30 years of experience in senior financial management positions with small and midsize public and private companies. He is a principal at MPP Associates, Inc., where he serves public, private, and not­for-profit corporations as a part-time or interim CFO. Earlier in his career, he worked as managing director of the Finance and Accounting Practice Group of Madison Davis Professional Services (MOPS), LLC, which he joined by combining his consulting practice with MOPS in 2004. An active IMA member for 40 years, Marc previously served as a member of IMA's Global Board of Directors, on IMA's Small Business Financial and Regulatory Affairs Committee, and as president of the IMA Long Island Chapter Board of Directors. He's Chair-Elect of IMA's Global Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 fiscal year. He also serves as chair of IMA's Planning and Development Committee and chair of the Nominating Committee. Marc holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Rider University and an MBA in finance from St. John's University.

JOHN B. POLLARA, CMA Chairman and CEO, Zieman Manufactuing Company (retired)

John is the retired chairman and CEO of Zieman Manufacturing Company. While working for Zieman, John held a number of positions including corporate controller, vice president of finance, and treasurer. He has served on a number of public company boards and continues to remain active in many business ventures. John has been actively involved in IMA serving in many capacities, including as former IMA Global Chair.

KELLY RICHMOND POPE, Ph.D., CPA Associate Professor of Accounting, DePaul University; and Fraud/White­Collar Crime Expert

Kelly is currently an associate professor in the School of Accountancy and MIS at DePaul University in Chicago. She is also founder and Chief Content Officer at Helios Digital Learning. Prior to working as an associate professor at DePaul, Kelly worked in the forensic practice at KPMG LLP in Chicago. As a forensic accountant, she worked on anti-money laundering engagements, insurance fraud investigations, and fraud risk management projects. She's the creator of the award-winning educational white-collar crime documentary Crossing the Line: Ordinary People Committing Extraordinary Crime. She has appeared on "Inside Edition" and Discovery ID's docu-drama "Forbidden" as a subject matter expert. Kelly received her undergraduate degree in accounting from North Carolina A&T State University and her master's and doctorate in accounting from Virginia Tech.

TANYA SHELL, CPA Vice President of Finance, The French Oil Mill Machinery Co.

Tanya is a financial executive and officer with a strong global manufacturing background. Her experience includes finance and accounting management, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, internal audit, ISO Quality Management, and Six Sigma. Tanya is president of IMA's Dayton Chapter and is a member of IMA's Committee on Ethics. She has an undergraduate degree from Miami University and an MBA from the University of Dayton. She is currently pursuing the CMA certification.

ANGELA A. SHENTON, CPA Finance Director, Johnson & Johnson

Angela is a finance director within the Worldwide Financial Planning & Analysis group for Johnson & Johnson (J&J). In her role, Angela oversees enterprise forecasting and has global Account-to-Report responsibilities for Enterprise Standards and Productivity Project (Finance Transformation). Angela has held various roles across three sectors of the business during her career at J&J, including rotations abroad in both Switzerland and the United Kingdom. She has a passion for talent development and is currently leading the recruiting pillar for IMA's Finance Women's Leadership Initiative and Diversity and Inclusion Council. Prior to joining J&J in 2004, Angela worked for Arthur Andersen in the audit field and with The McGraw Hill Companies in various finance roles . She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Monmouth University.

TASHEE SINGLETON Director, Public Housing Operations, Housing Authority of Columbus, Ga.

Tashee has worked in nonprofiUquasi-governmental organizations for 11 years. Currently, Tashee is the director of Public Housing Administration for the Housing Authority of Columbus, Ga., where she's responsible for more than 1,500 units on a daily basis. She's an active member of IMA, serving at both the chapter and regional-council levels and is an incoming member of IMA's Global Board. Additionally, Tashee is a recipient of the 2015 IMA Young Professional of the Year Award. She actively balances work, civic, professional, and family activities that serves as a positive example for us all.Tashee earned a bachelor of business administration in accounting and an MBA from Columbus State University.

JAMES C. (JIMMIE} SMITH, CPA Occidnetal Petroleum (retired)

Jimmie retired from Occidental Petroleum in June 2013, after serving the company for more than 39 years. At the time of his retirement, he was senior manager of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance. Jimmie also has extensive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), cost accounting,

controllership, and financial management. He's a long-time IMA member and has held numerous chapter, council, and global leadership roles. He's currently a member of the IMA Global Board of Directors and has received the 2013 Exemplary IMA Volunteer Award. Jimmie holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Texas Tech University and a master of science in accountancy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

JENNA USZENSKI IMA Integrated Marketing

Jenna is the marketing coordinator specialist at IMA (Institute of Management Accountants). She has a bachelor of science degree in business with a minor in communications from Monmouth University and has recently earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix.

HON. KIM R. WALLIN, CMA, CFM, CPA

Kim has served as the State Controller of Nevada. She was the first CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) to hold that office and is the first CPA (Certified Public Accountant) to be elected to the office in 50 years. Kim was appointed to and served on President Obama's Federal/State Advisory Committee on Administrative Flexibility, Lower Costs, and Better Results for State, Local, and Tribal Governments, which is dedicated to promoting more effective government. She's a former IMA Chair and also served as Chair of the ICMA® (Institute of Certified Management Accountants) Board of Regents. Kim is currently a member of IMA's Technology Solutions and Practices Committee, the XBRL International Public Sector Work Group, a member of the AGA Partnership for Intergovernmental Management and Accountability Steering Committee, and a director on the NASC Executive Committee. Kim graduated from the University of Las Vegas with a degree in business administration and a major in accounting.

GINGER WHITE, CMA Corporate Purchasing Finance Director, Cummins Inc.

Ginger began her 18-year tenure at Cummins Inc. as a cost accounting analyst. Currently, she serves as the corporate purchasing finance director, where she supports both Indirect and Direct Corporate Purchasing teams globally. She earned her MBA and M.S. in Strategic Finance from Indiana University Southeast. White is very active in IMA, holding various chapter, council , and global roles. She's the current chair of the Performance Oversight and Audit Committee.

CATHERINE WILSON Manager, Operational Review, Siemens Energy, Inc. As a manager in Operational Review, Catherine is tasked with leading internal reviews and audits of various Siemens departments, business units, and divisions. She has worked at the company in several capacities over the past seven years, including time in Germany in which she was involved with global SAP harmonization and a reengineering project related to Supply Chain Management and Product Lifecycle Management. She has a bachelor of science degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University, a master of science degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, and an MBA with concentrations in Finance, International Business, and Management from Rollins College.

Business students who are active members of the AFM/Business club have an opportunity to participate in a Student Leadership Conference sponsored by the IMA (Institute of Managerial Accountants), a worldwide association of finance professionals working in business. Our club has a student presence with the local chapter of the IMA and has been attending networking events over the past 10 years. Due to our affiliation with the IMA and high student involvement, our students were invited to attend the 16th annual leadership conference. Students will participate in 3 days of a very full schedule which includes participating in concurrent sessions on various business topics, listen to inspiring and prominent speakers in business, involvement in leadership activities, connect with industry leaders across the nation, and receive career advice and develop contacts with other motivated students across the nation. This is a once in a lifetime event for Mt. SAC college students. After attending this conference, the AFM/Business students plan on preparing a PPT presentation with links, pictures, and other educational information to share with the remaining club members who could not attend.
