KINGDOM INVESTMENT

God is an investor and an economist. He is thebest when it comes to economy and investment, Heis conscious of what He puts in because He knowsthat a man’s input determines his output.

All nations English Dictionary defines “Invest”to mean:1. To use money to buy shares, property or other

things that will increase in value to moremoney.

2. To make use of one’s time effort etc forfuture benefits or advantage especially in away that involves some sacrifice.

Investment in true sense is all about SACRIFICE.It is synonymous to sow, plant, Bank etc. Interest, Value, Harvest, Gain, Reward isparamount in the Commence of investment.

Everyone exists in what could be referred to asharvest extremes: The giving point and the receivingpoint, the moment the other appears at the extremeof the other point is the other.

The rugged reality lies on the fact that mostpeople crave for profit, and appreciation invalue, but only few take true pain to understandthe power of positive investment. Those who do,remain on the top list of gain and appreciation.

Man is a product of investment. God invested intoman gifts, talents and graces thereby indebtingman. In God’s methodology, every gift giveneither natural or divine comes with great

assignment. What is given to him is not to bestored but shifted; gifts are responsibilities.

David Livingstone once wrote:“I will place no value on anything I have or maypossess except in relation to the Kingdom ofChrist. If anything will advance the interest ofthat Kingdom, it shall be given or kept only asby giving or keeping it I may advance the gloryof Him to whom I owe all my hopes for the timeand eternity”.

A man’s gift and talent is only valued byappropriate utilization and investment.

Life is choice, every man on earth truly hasequal time and opportunity but not all uses theirtime and opportunity equally.

Encyclopeadia Britannica wrote “for an economy asa whole to invest, total production must exceedtotal consumption”.

Growth is enhanced through duties andresponsibilities. If the talents, services, goodsand gifts of an individual or company are not putinto work, it depreciates and may suffer loose, learn to put your gift into work.

There are different kinds of soil, so manygrounds to sow one’s seed, but the harvest canonly be good when the following is in place:

1. Good Seed2. Good Ground3. Good Timing to Plant

4. Good Maintenance5. Good harvest Seasons

The Kingdom of God is eternal; the eternal valueplaces it high above gold, silver, diamond andprecious stones which make it of more value.

God’s Kingdom is one theme that spans the entireHoly Bible; a Kingdom which economy and currencydoes not depreciate.Investment made into this Kingdom ONLYappreciates. Every nation of the earth despitetheir economic power has in one time or the othersuffered lost before stability, even at a stablestate certain factors could threaten it’sstability leading to lost and depreciation, suchas

1. Natural disaster2. War disaster3. Fraud4. Poor Management5. Stealing and Rubbery6. Wrong investment and use of resources.

Therefore, the stability of any economy eitherpersonal or cooperate could fall in value, thereis always possibility. (Check the result of the World War II)

Our Lord Jesus once said:“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon theearth, where moth and rust doth corrupt and wherethieves break through and steal”. Matthew 6:19.

WHAT CAN BE INVESTED INTO THIS KINGDOM

1. Finance2. Talents and Grace3. Time4. Personality (Self) - Morality.

The setting of right priorities helps in appropriation, investment and wealth harvest, what you sow and how you sow must be considered along side the place you sow.

What God gave us are raw materials which when we put them in use here on earth becomes a raw material in heaven through which an eternal mansion will be built for our habitation.

Therefore, our time, finance, talents and grace, our personality MUST not be wrongly used; they are precious, therefore must not be channeled to wrong directions.

“Do not give what is holy to the dogs nor cast your pearls before swine, least they trample themunder and tear you into pieces” Matthew 7:6.

What man owns, what man is, what man will become, comes from God. Man owes his total self to God. All things are possible by divine permission.

PAUSE (II), WAIT! THINK.I returned and saw that under the sun that:The grace is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all” Eccl 9:11.

God creates the chance and brings the time. What ever we are, we are because God created the chance and opportunity and allowed an enabling environment.

A wealth of Billions of pounds or Dollars or Eurocould be lost within a minute, either by earthquake, fire outbreak, or war disaster.

A businessman, who was successful in business once made billions of Dollars, he traded with theincome and loaded a ship with the goods, while coming back the ship sank in the Atlantic Ocean and all the billions got sank. The builders of Titanic once said that even God can not sink thisship, but in her very first sail, an ice bug caused it to sink.

We are what we are by divine permission. Are you successful it is by divine permission, are you intelligent, God gave you the brains, are you technologically inclined, you repair things easily without learning how to do it, God permitted it. Your business is doing well-divine permission, people love to favour you and identify with you, divine permission, you are lifted above your equals, it is not because you are the best, but divine permission. If all we are, all we will be is by divine permission, why the boasting? STOP! Re -set your priorities.

IN THIS KINGDOM INVESTMENT

These are actually three categories of men in Kingdom investment.

1. Bystanders2. Passive Participants3. Committed Investors

1. A bystander stands on the fence, he does nothing either to improve or destroy the overall growth of the Kingdom. A bystander may claim innocent but truly speaking no man who has the opportunity to do good who fails to do it is truly innocent.

2. Passive Participants are those who belong to the Church but are only interested on what the Church will do for them. They strife, andthreaten to short down the Church system and programs when their way is not granted. To them self is god, to them Church workers are to bow before their great status and catch cold at the breath of their nostrils. They are passive in their relationship with God; they only give all when the all will somehow and somewhere benefit them. To them, Church is carnal and Church workers are neither God’s representative or worthy of their commitment.

3. The CommittedThose in this category are wrapped up in love.

Love compels them to talking bold steps of faithfor the kingdom and further stirs in them thepossibility of extra mile achievement. Those in this category are in love with themaster’s mandate. They are dedicated to doing themasters biding and pleasing him at every cost

possible. If you love me keep my commandment. (Jn.14:15).

KINDS OF KINGDOM INVESTMENT AND BENEFIT.

1. Financial investment2. Moral investment3. Talent investment

These could be brought down to:1. Joshua/Caleb family2. Moses family3. Aaron/ Her family.

Reading through the Biblical record of the battlein Exodus 17:8-16, We see the power of victory inunity of division of labour.Amalek came and fought with Israel at Rephidim.Joshua and Caleb looks their sword to the battlefield, as frontiers; Moses went up the mountainwhile Aaron and Hur assisted him. Moses lifted uphis hand, Joshua and Caleb were fighting andhaving Victory; wherever the hand of Moses camedown Joshua began to loose the war, therefore,Aaron and Hur held the hand of Moses untilIsrael prevailed. Who brought the Victory? If itwas Moses alone Amalek, would have won, if wasJoshua and Caleb alone, Israel would have lost.If Aaron and Hur did not assist in holding thehand of Moses’ hand would have come down andIsrael would have been defeated, for the kingdomto excel everyone must play their role well. Andfor Victory to been all must be a participant. Inthis Kingdom investment, we all have our part toplay, we all need each other to excel. You cannotdo it alone. You need the expertise of the legal

practitioner; you need the expertise of theelders, you need the youthfulness of the youths, you need the tenderness of the children, you needthe managerial grace of the mothers, you need thetechnical know how of the technician we all needeach other. if we must be a chance for theKingdom here on earth we must be positivelyenthroned with the master’s mandate. The Lord isin need of you. Don’t hide your talent, Don’t letthe chance shrive to you to slide away, don’tplay with the salary, get involved, get communityand victory will be ours.

Among the several things Godhates as listed in proverbs 6:16-19, two are inthe family of lies, a lying tongue and a falsewitness that tells a lie.Everything that is untrue may not necessarily bea lie or a deceit.

THE MYSTERY OF THE ANOINTING AND WHAT IT DOES IN YOUR LIFE BY THE REV’D CHIBUNNA IHEBANYEREM NWAAOBIA.

Oil makes the face of man to shine (Psalm 104:15). Anointing connotes pouring oil upon; used for various purposes. The anointing does tremendous things in a man’slife. Anointing enthrones. From 1 Sam 16:1, David was enthroned by anointing; God had sent Samuel to the house of Jesse to anoint one of his chosen sons who was to be king of Israel in place of King Saul who had been rejected by God. God said to Samuel “fill your horn with

oil and be on your way. I am sending you to jess of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king”. When seven sons of Jesse passed before Samuel and none ofthem was chosen, the last son David was sent for and the lord said to Samuel “rise and anoint him he is the one”, so Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers and from that day on the spirit of the Lord came upon David in power. It was the anointing that changed the life of David. When that oil fell upon him he never remained the same he began to do mind-bogging things. The anointing subsequently led to his enthronement as the king of Israel.

The anointing changes status. From 1 Sam 10:1, 3-6, we discover that Saul’s status was changed and an ordinary man became the leader of a whole nation- Israel by reasonof the anointing. Samuel said “has not the lord anointed you leader over his inheritance” and in verse 6, Samuel said “the spirit of the lord will come upon you in power and you will prophesy with them. (a procession of prophets ) and you will be change into a different person. Here was a man who has never prophesied but the anointing brought him to that level or status.

The anointing brings favour. The oil makes the face of man to shine; when somebody’s face has become dry it requires oil to shine it up. The shining of a man’s face could mean favour. Psalm 104:15. It is glorious to beholdthe face of a man who had been favoured as a result of the oil. There was a man who had been struggling in life to the point of almost living in abject poverty but from the day he was ordained and anointed as a pastor his lifenever remain the same. He was favoured all around. His life had a turn-around so much that his life pretended tobe dependent on that ordination day when the oil was poured on him and it brought unusual lifting.

The anointing is an instrument for honor and placing of high value. It was anointing oil (olive oil) that Jacob used to mark with high honour the place that God spoke with him. Gen. 35:14. He poured oil as to anoint the place and the anointing of the stone-pillar will make the

place to be revered. By anointing the stone-pillar Jacob was showing the greatest respect for the place where he had met with God.

Anointing is a Sign producer: In 1Samuel 10:5-7, we discover that Saul began to manifest signs which he wouldnot have manifested if he was not anointed. If you are really anointed, there must be some manifestation of signs. The anointing in you must push you to do extra-ordinary things. There must be a difference between an anointed Man and a Man not anointed.

The Anointing Gives You Liberty to do Exploits: in 1Sam.10:7, Samuel told Saul, “once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do for God is with you. Also, we saw that after the anointing of David in 1Samuel 16, he did exploits by killing Goliath in 1Samuel 17.

The Anointing Brings Healing: The twelve disciples were sent out to evangelize the land from one Village to the other as found in Mark 6:7-12, when they went they preached that people should repent and they drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them. In James 5:4, we discover that James the ‘epistoller’ said that if anyone is sick, he should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord…. and the prayer offeredin faith will make the sick person well, having generatedspiritual healing that will bring about the healing.

The Anointing Breaks Yoke: we sing it in songs by the anointing, we shall Break the Yoke…The word of God confirmed it and said, “in that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their Yoke from your Neck, the Yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat” and that fat is full of oil that breaks the Yoke. Isaiah 10:27. You need to grow fat in the spirit so that Yokes will be broken off your life.

The Anointing Gives Divine Protection to the Anointed: Because the word of God says in Psalm 105:15, “Do not

touch my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm” David realized the mystery of the anointing in the anointed onewhen he refused to kill King Saul who was placed into hishand in the desert of En Gedi(1Sam. 24:1-7) David again spared the life of King Saul in the desert of Ziph (1Sam.26:1-9). It was the anointing upon the head of King Saul that David feared and by that, King Saul’s life was not destroyed by David, and that is how the anointing protects.

The Anointing Teaches you God’s Mysteries: from the lightof the scriptures in 1John 2:27, we discover that the anointing teaches God’s mysteries. As for you the anointing you received from him remains in you and you donot need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit, just as it has taught you remain in him. This implies that if you are anointed, the anointing speaks of things you do not knowing and if you have a listening ear you will learn new things.

The Anointed Elicits joy That Takes You Above your Contemporaries: from the scripture we discover that you can be set above your companions because Heb. 1:9, says “You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness, therefore God, your God has set you above your companionsby anointing you with the oil of joy. With this revelation, you ought to seek for righteousness and hate wickedness so that God will anoint you with the oil of joy that will set you above your companions.

The anointing consecrates: the consecration affects both the animate and inanimate object. In Exodus 30: 26-29, itis discovered that the materials so anointed remained consecrated and holy to the extent that whatsoever touches them will be holy. Receive the anointing and be ye consecrated. Beloved, seek to maintain God’s calling upon your life, seek to be anointed by God, let the anointing upon you beguided with all humility and purity.

THE WOMAN OF GOOD UNDERSTANDINGThe theme of 2014 Mothering Sunday celebration inthe Diocese of Isiala Ngwa South, (DINS)the womanof good understanding was timely, thought provoking and challenging which was taking from 1Sam 25:3b with Abigail as a case study.Abigail was the wife of Nabal of Maon. This woman

did not just have understanding but a good one. Some people do have understanding to do evil and cause havoc wherever they find themselves. Abigail exhibited her great quality of understanding in so many ways

She understood the type of husband she had (evil man that no one could talk to)

She understood her position in her family- a suitable helper to her husband and the home manager infact dutifully in charge.

She understood the message of her servant, the time, and the looming danger ahead.

She understood that she needed to act fast toavert the disaster coming

She understood that David was a mighty man ofwar and could be very destructive.

She also understood the kind of things to take along with her to appease the great man David.

She understood the right way to go about her duty of intercession she took the blame upon herself; “upon me my lord, upon me let this iniquity be….”(v24).Other qualities exhibited by this woman:

She was God fearing and spiritually sensitive, she was not carried away by the feasting going on around her.

She was humble and approachable- this enabledher to even listen to the advice of her servant and act with it.

She was generous and hence she gave David 200loaves of bread and other numerous gifts as against the things the husband refused to give him. (1sam 25vs18).

She was a good organizer; she did not waste time in gathering the items with which to go on her rescue mission.

She was not lazy in spite of her husband wealth.

She was smart and was able to act fast. The Bible recorded that when Abigail saw David, she quickly got off her donkey and bowed downbefore David to the ground, (1Sam 25:23). What does that suggest to you? She was humbleand respectful.

She was also current and alert else how couldshe have known about David’s position. These qualities in Abigail are indeed

challenging. Woman, apart from understanding your husband as Abigail did and thereby saved herhousehold, we also need to understand our children and Environment. A good understanding ofour children will help us to teach, correct and bring them up in a godly way. While a good understanding of our environment will enable us

to adequately manage our time and resources to the glory of God and for our blessing. Finally for a woman to be of good understanding she must have a good knowledge of the word of God and liveby it day and night.

Woman, you can even surpass Abigail because weare in a better dispensation of grace and truth. From the foregoing, can you realize that youdon’t have any excuse not to excel? No matter thekind of situation and circumstance you have foundyourself, everything you need to succeed is inyou. God can use you to save that seeminglyhopeless situation, oh yes he can! Thereforerelease yourself unto God to make you a womanwith good understanding to save your family, yourtown, nation and indeed your generation andbeyond.

YOU AND YOUR HEALTHTOPIC: BODY ODOUR

INTRODUCTION: An individual is said to have body odour or body smell if he /she has an odour emanating from the skin, most commonly from the armpit region of the body. It may also occur from the genital or feet area. This odour could be described as pungent, musty or soar in character. It is more commonin individuals who are in their post puberty stage. It becomes a very serious matter when the odour is overpowering and interferes withthe lives of the affected individuals. Body odour however, can occasionally smell pleasant and be specific to a person; it could even be used to identify some people. Some of the things that influence body odour are: Genetics, gender, age, lifestyle, diet, state of health, environment and medication. CAUSES OF BODY ODOUR.Body odour is predominantly caused by accumulation of bacteria on the skin. Human sweat itself is almost odourless but when bacteria multiplies rapidly in the presence of sweat, it produces the unpleasant smell perceived as body odour. An individual who sweats excessively especially from the hiddenareas like the armpit, under the breasts {Forfemales} and at the groin area coupled with poor personal hygiene is more likely to have body odour.Body odour may also be caused by the following:

Metabolic disorders which result to improper metabolism of some food substance in the body.Disease condition:Some disease conditions contribute to body odour.Ingestion of certain food substances such as drugs, or toxic substance.SUGGESTED REMEDIES Keep your body very clean by washing at least twice daily, even more if need be in order to wash off the sweat and keep the bacteria away.Use antibacterial soap for bathing, antiseptic soaps are also useful.Regular shaving of the axillay hair thereby preventing the accumulation of sweat and bacteria on the hair shafts.Dry the body thoroughly with towel paying special attention to the armpit, under the breasts and groin areas. Keeping the body drydiscourages bacterial multiplication.Change your clothes often especially when soaked with sweat. NB: Clean or fresh cloths help to keep down body odour. The use of antiperspirants/ deodorants help to keep the armpit dry and also combat body odour. They contain chemicals that reduce sweating and mask off the smell of bacteria on the skin. By mrs kate agaranna.

SPORTS:MUNDIAL 2014The World Cup is around the corner, this global event cut across all races, religion and ethnic group. This feaster which started over eight decades ago was first hosted by Uruguay that eventually won the cup. The Quadra-annual event is the most celebrated sports festival globally. The host country for 2014 is the only nations that havewon the converted cup i five times, 1958,1962,1970,2002and 2010. It would be recalled that Nigeria participated in this global event for the first time in 1994. The country’s representative was superlative although they were eliminated at the early stage by Italy which did not go down well with sports loving Nigerians. Our Technical Adviser and coach then was clement wasterhof. The team captain was Steven Okechukwu keshi . Twenty years after the then captain Steven Keshi now the chief coach is built to take the national team to Brazil. This is the first indigenous coach to do so. Paradoxically, many Cynics do not appreciate this feat. However, it is a thing of commendation that Nigerian football has come of age. I say bravo to the great achiever. Nigeria is not the only African representative, Ghana, Cameron, Ivory

Coast and Egypt. There are a number of issues that should be addressed The Foreign coaches that had led the country to previous world cup who were given wherewithal to achieve success but all to no avail. The question is will the indigenous coach be given such financial support to enable him to achieveve the desired to lift the cup? (2) Will players give him the kind of respect they give to the white man? The World Cup was first hosted in African by South African in 2010, the officiating officers did not reachup to expectation they thereby destroy the joy of the festival. The must win syndrome by European countries should be checked. All nations that qualified for the feaster or no push over or and as such should be given equal privilege in the field of play. Football hooliganism should be discouraging of racial discrimination should be discouraged. FIFA should look into equal representation. The idea of given Europe more chances then other continent need be discouraged. Africa has good referees that are competent to handle World Class Matches. Let all lovingNigerians give our super Eagle all the support and prayer that would enable them to excel in this competitor. Likewise, the Aba Provincial clergy Football Competition should be revisited and reorganized for Body exercise.

TEENAGE PREGNANCY: WHO IS TO BLAMEPARENT OR SOCIETY?

Before delving with who bears the brunt, I shall attempt to explain the phrase: teenage pregnancy and its consequences. DEFINITION: Teenage pregnancy is a serious issue in oursociety today. Where the under-aged becomes pregnant because they are not informed. “Teenage pregnancy is define as a teenage or under-aged girl (usually within the age bracket of 13 to 19 years) becoming pregnant”.

It is also said to be a period where teenage girls are at a stage when their mind is a bit undeveloped.Teenage pregnancy is a continuous increasing problem inour society today within the 18-19 years old of age group having the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in comparison to other countries. However, statistics has it that the united state of America has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the industrialized world. On the other hand most girls become pregnant as a teen because when they were in a relationship, they considerthemselves “in love” which lead to them having fantasies of being together forever with their significant partners and eventually fall into the enchantment of having sex without contraceptive.CONSEQUENCES OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY: teenage pregnancy has several consequences on the girl victim. Having a newborn within teenage years could hinder teen from finishing high school, college, or having a profession in life, and many other things. There is no doubt that having a baby in your teen years can make your future and your future plans difficult and complicating. Unplanned pregnancies are very unexpected and surprising. However, unplanned pregnancies in teen mothers can have many difficulties like deciding to keep the child, give it up for abortion or end the process of having the baby into abortion. Teenage pregnancies cause serious health and education problems. The womb could be inflicted with serious damages as a result of self-medicated drugs or pills administered by the teen mother in her attempt to terminate the unplanned pregnancy. Furthermore, a teen mother is looked upon by the society to lack proper parental upbringing and coming from a very uncivilized family. Which parent will want to be identified or associated with this societal ill called teenage pregnancy?WHO IS TO BELAME: PARENT OR SOCIETY? The Biblical injunction as recorded in the book of proverbs 22 v.6 says: “train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from that ” this is very apt to the topic in discuss. Both the parent and the society have vital roles to play to curtail this

problem of teenage pregnancy. Parent should start earlyenough to give their children (particularly the girls)sex education when they are in their teen years, be observant and ready to comment on their dressing in and out of the house. The craze amongst The teenagers to adopt the western style of dressing or life style, but in ,most cases, the very teen defaulters to these laws do so with impunity due to the overwhelming influence of their parent in the society.Finally, it ismy view and belief that the parent are to be blame for teenage pregnancy, having failed in their parental upbringing and training of their teen children while abandoning same to be done for them by the society.By Lady Barr. Augusta Eleri {a private legal practitioner}

WYH IT IS WRONG TO WORSHIP IDOLSIdolatry is a multi-faceted network of religion, religious observant and practice which people engage in, either in search of fulfillment, power, and success, healing or even to know the future. All this effort has grown from working and living in disobedience to God. As idolatry takes hold, it breed all other sins, causing the mind to be hardened, deceived and turned away farther from God. It needs to be clearly and unequivocally understood that the livingGod hates Idolatry. He commanded the children of Israelagainst it soon after He brought them out of Egypt Ex 20vs 1-6Since the fall of man Satan has constantly desired thatman worship him. Even when the Lord Jesus Christ was about to start His earthly ministry one of the temptation set before Him by Satan was to demand worship in exchange for the Kingdom of this world and all its glory. Stan stated that all had been delivered to him and that he will give them to Jesus if he (Jesus) worshiped him. The lord Jesus Christ flatly refused and said ‘get thee behind me Satan ’ it is written thou shall worship thy Lord thy God and Him alone shall you serve. It is clear from this incident that Satan demands worship in exchange for something seemly attractive. We understand that Satan, being the father of lies and the one who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, exploitshis position as the prince of this world to hold out promises to people so that he can get their worship. Anybody who gets in to his net is on the road to death. However, because of the ignorance of men and Satan’s capacity to deceive men have been drawn into idolatry. The reason why we should avoid idolatry includes:The Lord command us to avoid it – 1cor.10:14They have no real existence – 1cor. 8:4.

They cannot save. Ps. 115:4-8, Isa. 46:1-7The worship of idol is mocked- 1kgs 18:27Idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of God -1cor. 6:9-10They are not profitable- Isa. 44:10It is adultery – Ezekiel 23:37If you practice idolatry and continue to do so without repentance, there is only one place for you – Hell. I say this not on the boast of my own idea but on the basis of God’s word. If only you can remember that idols are helpless man made gods, your heart will not be drawn to them. Ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. One needs a constant supply of fresh grace fromthe Lord to reignite his heart’s affection for Him. Go to Him; seek Him afresh for a new out pouring of the Holy Spirit into your life that you might properly lovehim.
