Workers' Compensation Act, 1912-1956.ORDER IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 13 of theWorkers' Compensation Act, 1912-1956, that it shallbe obligatory for every employer to obtain from anincorporated insurance office approved by theMinister, a policy of insurance for the full amountof the liability to pay compensation under the Actto all workers employed by him, but that if anemployer proves to the satisfaction of the Ministerthat such employer has established a fund forinsurance against such liability and has depositedat the Treasury securities charged with all pay-ments to become due under such liability theGovernor may, by Order in Council, exempt suchemployer from the operation of the said section;and whereas Midland Railway Company of West-ern Australia Limited, of Midland Junction, West-ern Australia, being an employer within the mean-ing of the Act and having made application inaccordance with the Act and the regulations madethereunder for exemption from the operation ofsection 13, has satisfied the Minister that it has

established a fund for insurance against its lia-bility to pay compensation under the Act to allworkers employed by it, and has deposited at theTreasury a security, to wit, a bond for ten thousandpounds charged with all payments to become dueunder the liability: Now, therefore, His Excellencythe Governor, acting with the advice and consentof the Executive Council, and in exercise of the

IT is hereby notified, for general information, that the areas scheduled hereunder are available for selection under Part V. ofthe Land Act, 1933-1956, and the regulations appertaining thereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Applications must be lodged at the Department of Lands and Surveys, Perth, not later than the date specified, butmay be lodged before such date, if so desired.

Busselton Water Board.Notice of Intention to Borrow.

Proposed Loan (No. 21) of £4,500.NOTICE is hereby given that the Busselton WaterBoard proposes to borrow the sum of Four Thous-and Five Hundred Pounds (4,500). The said sumof Four Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (g4,500)is to be raised by the sale of debentures, repayablewith interest by thirty (30) equal half-yearly in-stalments over a period of fifteen (15) years afterthe issue thereof, in lieu of the formation of aSinking Fund.

The debentures shall bear interest at a rate ofFive Pounds Ten Shillings (5 lOs.) per cent. perannum payable half-yearly. The amount of thesaid debentures, including interest thereon, is tobe paid at the office of the Commonwealth Bankof Australia, Perth, Western Australia.

The purpose for which the proposed loan is to beapplied is as follows: Sink new bore; seal off oldbore; purchase compressor and boiler for automaticcontrol of pumping plant as set out in the noticepublished in the Government Gazette on the 26thJuly and 2nd August, 1957, and in The West Aus-tralian newspaper of 26th July, 1957, pursuant tothe provisions of section 41 of the Water BoardsAct, 1904-1953.

The Board was empowered to construct suchworks by order of His Excellency the Governor, asnotified in the Government Gazette of the 11thOctober and 8th November, 1957.

A statement of the proposed expenditure of themoney to be borrowed is open for inspection duringoffice hours at the office of the Board, Prince Street,Busselton.
