5.4 Furnish details of the following aspects of

Innovation such as modular curricula

Inter/multidisciplinary approach

The curricula is designed in keeping

modularity as its main aspect. It also

aims at providing judicious mix of

courses belonging to Humanities,

Common Core Courses, core courses

for each discipline together with

specialized courses. Students can

choose from elective courses and also

opt for interdisciplinary subjects. Few

skill based courses are taught through

workshops. There is a provision of

open electives in all courses whereby

students can opt for courses in

programmes offered in the campus.

5.5 Has the University conducted an academic audit?

It takes place on regular interval.

Internal Quality Assurance Council

(IQAC) takes care of the same.

5.6 Apart from classroom instruction, what are the

other avenues of learning provided for the

Adequate credits are awarded to

students for project work, internship,

field trainings, seminars etc., and other

activities as per requirement of the

courses. In addition, few courses have a

provision of partial evaluation through

field works, projects and seminars.

Continuous Assessment System (CAS) is

adopted to ensure proper dissemination

of knowledge, skills and attitude

amongst students.

5.8 What methods of evaluation of answer scripts

does the University follow? Whether external

experts are invited for evaluation?

The valuation is done centrally. Each

answer book is examined by qualified

examiner and is also selectively checked

by head examiner. Students are shown

examined answer books. Necessary

changes are made if required. Approved

ordinance are followed in totality.

5.12 How are the question papers set to ensure the

achievement of the course objectives?

As per the statutes of ITM University,

the examination committee of each

department is formed by Vice-

Chancellor to prepare the panel of

examiners for the end semester theory

examinations. The exam committee

consists of the following:

1) Head of the department

2) Two senior most teachers of the

department other than HOD.

3) One nominee of the Vice-

Chancellor

The Examination Committee

recommends a panel of three names for

the appointment of the paper setter of

each written paper.

The Vice-Chancellor appoint paper

setter amongst persons recommended

by the Examination Committee. He may,

however, appoint a person whose name

is not included in the list of names

recommended by the Examination

Committee if he is satisfied that the

person in question possesses the

minimum qualification and his

appointment will not be contrary to the

provisions of the qualifications of paper

setters in statutes of ITM University

Gwalior.

5.13 State the policy of the University for the

constitution of board of question paper setters,

board of examiners and invigilators.

Panel of question paper setter is

suggested by the Board of studies and

approved by the Academic council. As

regards invigilators they are appointed

by the Centre Exam Superintendent

concerned among eligible faculty

members.
