Introduction The vertical turbine pump is a hydraulic machine. its function is very

similar than centrifugal pump. This pump operates as a set of stages

driven by a same shaft generally connected to an electric motor.

Form of operation All the stages are connected by a shaft to a driver (electrical motor or diesel

engine). The stages works to constant velocity, and the set provides a constant

flow, but the pressure is incremented in each stage.
