Last chance to enter the Christmas Tree Festival The festival will take place between Saturday 4th and Saturday 11th December 2021. Come and view the festive display around Church and vote for your favourite! Be sure to hang a tag on the Tree of Remembrance. The winners of the Christmas Tree Festival will be announced at the 9:30 am service on Sunday 12th December. It's not too late to enter a tree! The closing date is TOMORROW Monday 15th November. Harrogate School of Theology & Mission Canon Dr Mark Powley, Principal of St Hild College, speaks on 'In Search of the

Presence of God: How We Meet God in Worship' This live lecture is at St Mark’s Church on Saturday 20th November 2021, starting with a continental breakfast served from 9:30 am, then the lecture from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Tickets cost £8 per session (students £5) including breakfast and refreshments. Fees payable preferably in advance by the online booking system Eventbrite or on the day by contactless card or cheque. Bell Ringers' Peal Attempt at St Peter's Church this afternoon Today on Remembrance Sunday, 14th November, a band of bell ringers will attempt to ring a half-muffled peal in memory of all those who died in the two World Wars and subsequent conflicts. The attempt, which will be made on the eight bells of St Peter's Church, is being conducted by Barry Dove. The bell clappers will be muffled on one side in

the traditional manner of ringing for remembrance. Ringing is expected to begin at 12:30 pm and should finish around 3:30 – 4:00 pm. We wish them every success!

St Peter’s Ladies who Lunch The Ladies who Lunch are meeting on Wednesday 24th November at the Palm Court Café at the bottom of Montpellier Hill. St Peter's Church Refreshment Day – bakers needed! Hannah Beck (07503 186455) is organising a Refreshment Day to raise funds for our Church on Saturday 27th November from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Would you be willing to bake a cake, some scones or biscuits? The Breakfast Club provides a free, hot breakfast from Monday to Saturday (8:20 – 8:45 am) for all those who are hungry or in need. A hot Sunday Lunch is served from 1:00 – 1:30 pm. Hot food is available 4:30 – 4:50 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Our mini Supermarket is on Thursdays 4:30 – 4:50 pm.
