The article reviews the essence and diagnostics of military personnel moral and psychologicalstatus. It is stated that moral and psychological status is a historically stable term. The termoriginates back from the 1990-ies and is now recognized in all modern armies. It is given aparticular role in the increasing importance of alertness of Russian Federation force structures,their ability to defend national interests and state security.
