Questions of the Grave Class 8 أسئلة القبر Istiaatha is ibaadah, we need to worship Allah by seeking refuge.

Surah Al-Falaqسورة الفلق

Allah says:

قل أعوذ برب الفلق

Say, O Muhammad (and tell your Ummah to say) Remember IStiaatha is sitr (seeking refuge, covering, like in a cave) and mujaawaarah (something we need to be constantly connected to) If we are scared of some evil, we go in the cave and we are connected with it. We are seeking refuge by whom?

❖ Rab Al-falaq. Name of Allah Ar-Rab, Lord of what? Falaq- split anything that splits. Who is making this split? Allah!

What can split?

❖ Faaliq Asbah- فالق الصباح- Split of day break, when the sun comes and splits ❖ Seeds ❖ Who makes the sun come, who makes the seeds split- Allah. ❖ Anything when it comes and split. Imagine such a small action, something is

closed, who makes it open? Only Allah. Rab al-Falaq, Matches when you are seeking refuge from. An outside evil and an evil that is hidden, unseen.

قمن شر ما خل ❖ ◌ - From the evil of the creation. This includes people, animals, insects, shayateen, mountains, objects, stones, cars. That means anything can bring some evil. So now what you will do? Because we don’t know. So we say قل أعوذ برب الفلق ◌.. We seek refuge in the Lord of the things that open things (that were closed), we seek refuge in Him from the evil of the creation.

This is protection from harm. For example, if you say this with belief, a person may come and want to say some evil to you. And it will happen that you will not listen to it! Maybe some harm wanted to come to you but because you believe in the surah, the evil will not come. Allah is able to protect you from harm. Our strength is to attach to Allah. This is your precaution.

Questions of the Grave Class 8 أسئلة القبر

ن شر غاسق إذا وقبوم ❖ ◌ meaning darkness in the night, ghasak -◌ غاسق ➢➢ Something can be hidden and we don’t know ➢ For example, some people say, at night, sickness increases. Like, حمة

- fever. During the the day, it’s mild and you can still have energy to do things, but at night it worsens. We don’t want to be stressed out too much about this, so seek refuge in Allah. Whatever comes in the night, because we don’t know, we ask Allah for protection.

This also explains our relationship to Allah, we should be faqeer ill Allah, poor to Allah.

❖ Suppose your house is clean, your bed is clean, and you go to sleep, and you feel protected. Suppose you are going camping, there’s a lot of mosquitos, or a place that is dirty, and you feel faqeer to Allah, Ya Rab , May Allah protect me. We need to feel all the time faqeer. Sometimes, we say it more with feeling when you are facing a danger, etc.

❖ But we need to always feel this way… because when we are in our houses and everything is fine, we don’t feel faqeer (poor, needy) to Allah. But we cannot think like this.

❖ SubhanAllah, too much cleaning, can be bad also. Even bacteria, there are good bacteria and bad bacteria. So we seek refuge of the evil of the creation.

◌ ومن شر النفاثات في العقد ❖

➢ The evil of, the ladies blowing into the knots. ➢ Who are these ladies? Magician, witches. The collect the traces from

the people, hair, blood, etc. And then they make a knot, then they blow it. Allah said, the evil of what? The blowing.

➢ Allah said, specifically, the blowing. Let the collect whatever they want, but may Allah spoil the blowing, the spell. From everything they do.. Collect, etc. We ask protection from Allah when they blow, specifically when they are doing their evil actions

➢ Nafs khabeetha, the evil soul, even their blow is evil also. Witches are evil, they are worshipping shaytaan, evil the blow, is evil. A good person, his blow can be a cure, read on you, etc.

Questions of the Grave Class 8 أسئلة القبر

➢ We don’t see them, they do their evil actions in hiding. But Allah is Al-Haqq. When the Haqq (truth) comes it will strike the full scope of the falsehood and evil, even if it is so many, it will spoil it.

➢ Truth doesn’t need advertising. The Falsehood needs advertising, needs beautifying. That’s why they say Shaytaan is a designer, a make-up artist, meaning make the falsehood look nice. He decorates the falsehood. Because falsehood is ugly.

➢ We need to know our Lord, Rab al-falaq, the One who is able to do this, the One who is able to spoil all the evil!

❖ The witches and magicians whatever they do will never be successful, because they are evil. No matter how they plot and make a trick, don’t be amazed with magicians, etc. When the truth comes, it will destroy all the falsehood. The truth, has evidence has roots. Falsehood does not have evidence, does not have roots

❖ We don’t want any decorations from Shaytaan. May Allah make us see falsehood as it is, ugly!

SubhanAllah- This shows we need Allah in everything. We need to be faqeer, (poor to Allah, meaning feeling needy to Allah) We need to feel faqeer because of misguidance, asking istighfaar, even to seek refuge. Even if everything is good, no one is watching, and I’m in the house safely, but still we need to seek refuge.

◌ ومن شر حاسد إذا حسد ❖➢ The envier, what does it mean Haasid, the one who is envy. “Why you

have this, and I don’t have…” ➢ Hasad is a bowl of fire in the heart. The Haasid person is always

boiling inside. This is all in secret. We don’t know who the haasid is around us. We need to seek refuge.

➢ When do we seek refuge? When he envies. Sometimes there is a haasid, but he is not envying (doing the action, having any bad eyes for someone). When is the moment we need refuge? The moment he make hasad.

➢ Ie: the exact moment when a seed splits. For example, there is a gun that is hidden. Or a gun that is not active. But the moment when it

Questions of the Grave Class 8 أسئلة القبر

shoots, is the exactly moment we need protection. We ask protection from this moment, the moment of when the envier envies.

SubhanAllah how Allah protecst you in that exact moment!

This is Rab Al-Falaq. Example at daybreak, the moment the sun come out, there is no turning back… it comes out. When the seed breaks open, it comes out, without any control. SubhanAllah, Allah will protect you in the moment that is needed. May Allah give us ikhlas and ihsan. Tawakul… We must have tawakul after reading these duas, that after I read it, I believe I am protected from the envier, etc. A saying goes that for the muttaqeen, if the skies fell on the earth, in that exact moment Allah will make an exit for you. Allah is able to do that.

Surah An-Nas سورة الناس

❖ This Surah is about a different kind of evil. A hidden enemy that goes with your veins = Shaytaan

◌ قل أعوذ برب الناس ❖

➢ Here you seek refuge. What do you need to say? Auootho- sitr wa mujaawara (seeking the covering and the connection to the protection always)

➢ We seek refuge in Allah, depend on that evil. ➢ For example, if you have big baatil, so you need something strong.

Depends on the evil, you can get the haqq. ➢ What is the Haqq is surah al-falaq? Allah is the reformer of this falaq,

Allah is able to protect you from all this outside. ➢ From Surah Al-falaq, so many evils were mentioned, and one name of

Allah.. We asked refuge “from the evil of”... “from the evil of”.. Meaning not everything mentioned was 100% evil.

➢ In Surah An-Nas, you asking refuge from a bigger evil, you need to more powerful names of Allah. Here we have 3 names, to defeat one enemy.

➢ The shyataan is pure evil. There is no peace treaty between us and shaytaan. That is why its important to know the evil of shaytaan and to teach our kids. Shaytaan wants me to disobey Allah, Shaytaan

Page 6: Class 8أسئلة القبر - SISTERSNOTES · PDF fileAnother proof is Surah An-Naas, Surah Al-Falaq ... This is all in secret. We don’t know who the haasid is around us. We need

wants me to be in hell fire. Any bad thoughts which you know, its is from him. All bad ideas, bad thoughts, bad feelings, it’s all from shaytaan. Never give a chance for shaytaan to separate between you, to separate between husband and wife. don’t give him the opportunity. For example, with Prophet Yaqoob, he told Yusef, not to tell his brothers the dream he had, why? he didn’t say your brothers are evil. He said shaytaan is evil. Don’t give shaytaan chance to put enmity.

➢ Speak all good, don’t speak bad, don’t give shaytaan any chance. ➢ For example, something happens in front of you. Shaytaan comes to

every single person to try to make you think bad about this person. There is no goodness in him.

So the names of Allah mentioned are 3 powerful names.

Jinn see Nas, but Nas do not see Jinn and Shaytaan. Shaytaan is -رب الناس ❖only waiting and plotting and waiting to make problems

❖ 6 ayah, and “An-nas” is mentioned 5 times. Humans, Insaan, like being together and want to be familiar with each other. Even if you have 100 cats in the house, you want to be with people. We are Social creatures.

Now we see the names of Allah: رب الناس

❖ Ar-Rab, Allah want to nurture you, want to elevate you. Shaytaan doesn’t want you to listen to the nurturer, disobeying. Wants to disturb the sound of the truth. Ar-Rab meaning the Reformer, and we are taking the reform, the message , all the ruboobiyah from Allah, learning from Allah, taking it because it is making you better.

the King and the Owner of the people -ملك الناس ❖

➢ Meaning you seek refuge with whom? The owner. You need something, therefore you go to the King, the Master, the Owner, the One who can help you. You cannot fight shaytaan by yourself, so you go to the King.

.ilah- meaning the One I attach to with love and magnifying -الھ الناس ❖➢ I don’t need anyone to attach to except Him. ➢ So I’m going to my ilah, because He is the Only One who can protect

me.

Page 7: Class 8أسئلة القبر - SISTERSNOTES · PDF fileAnother proof is Surah An-Naas, Surah Al-Falaq ... This is all in secret. We don’t know who the haasid is around us. We need

Questions of the Grave Class 8 أسئلة القبر Three names of Allah- Ar-Rab (actions of Allah), Al-Malik (to show His power and superiity) , Al-ilah (the One you attach to) Now it comes the seeking refuge. Allah is able to protect us without us asking, but Allah gave us this to attach to Him. Allah gave us this to obodiya, worship.

◌ من شر الوسواس الخناس ❖The one (shaytan) who is whispering to me constantly

When you get used to listening to him, it will be normal. If you are always listening to evil, then it becomes normal to you

Al-waswas- it is constant. Either you always fight it or you get -◌ الوسواسused to it. Khanaas- he is a coward. He cannot stand remembering Allah, he -◌ الخناسcannot stand names of Allah. He disappears. he disappears -◌ الخناس …the stars that disappear - ◌ فال أقسم بالخنس 81:15

◌ الذي یوسوس في صدور الناس ❖he tries to do this waswas in your chest

الجنة والناسمن ❖ ◌- Shaytaan has two types- from jinn and from humans. There are people that are shaytaan, they do wiswas and they are more powerful because They are in front of you and you see them. That’s why in the Quran… Allah says:

لیتني لم أتخذ فالنا خلیل یا ویلتى ■ Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had" -ا never taken so-and-so as a friend!

نسان خذوال ■ یطان لإل كر بعد إذ جاءني وكان الش He indeed" - لقد أضلني عن الذled me astray from the Reminder (this Quran) after it had come to me. And Shaitan (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need."

Khthulaa- the want to urges you do something " do it, do -خذوال ■it, say it, say it"… and then after it happens it leave. For example, in zina, they will push you until they do it
