Today I took a few of our students to the Joint Financial
Committee budget meeting at Berlin High School to present some
of the legislators with thanks you cards and letters for supporting
our school through the School Choice Program. We are very
grateful for them!
There are a lot of events coming up to be mindful of.
The youth is hosting an Easter egg hunt on April 15th at 10:00am.
Progress reports will come home on April 26th.
Our annual Chop Suey supper is April 26th.
Tree sale pick up is April 29. Please keep selling those trees, check
with the office for availability.
Also please keep selling the flower baskets for our annual Mother’s
Day sale.
Our Easter break is April 10th through the 17th. I would
encourage you to take advantage of the various worship
opportunities to celebrate our risen Lord and all He has done to
earn our salvation. You will find a worship schedule inside. Classes
resume April 18th.
Have a blessed Easter and a relaxing break.

Today we sent home an
activity book from the
grant program. We hope
that your child enjoys
using it over vacation.
We have added two
more sight word songs
this week: is and you.
Please help your child
notice thee new words
as you read together.
Jesus Time
Hallelujah is the
message of Easter.
Jesus rose from the
dead. He defeated
S a t a n a n d h a s
conquered the grave.
Jesus took our sins with
Him to the cross. We
have the assurance that
we will live with Him
eternally. Praise the
Lord. Happy Easter.
In 3K we were excited to
get to bring home our
“mock” stain glass projects
to hang up at home for
Easter. With Easter quickly
approaching we talked this
week about ovals. We also
spent time reading some fun
Easter stories. During Jesus
time, we talked about the
true meaning of Easter. We
are really excited to have
some time off from school
to celebrate Easter with our
families. In Kindergarten,
we took our achievement
tests this week. We worked
hard this week on our tests
and are excited to have
spring break. We will not
have homework over break.
We are really excited to be
bringing our “mock” stain
glass projects home to hang
up (there is a suction cup
hanger attached for easy
hanging). During Jesus time,
we talked about the
importance of taking time
during our busy lives to
listen to God’s Word. We
sing on Sunday during the
8am service. Enjoy time with
your families over spring
break. Happy Easter!!!
Holy Week was our focus in
Religion; from Palm Sunday,
Jesus’ washing the Disciple’s
feet, His Last Supper (Holy
Communion), Peter denying
even knowing Jesus, Jesus’
death on the cross to take
away our sin, and Jesus Rises
from the dead. Our Savior is
Alive! He did not stay dead!
So, when we die, we will not
stay dead, but will go to be
with Him in heave! Praise the
Lord! Math is fun for second
grade; learning multiplication:
0, 1, 2, 5, 10, 100; adding and
subtracting three digit
numbers, and counting
quarters. First grade is
learning to count nickels,
symmetry, and lots of time.
This week has been saturated
with Achievement Testing, so
other subjects will be picked
up after Spring Break!. We are
in the middle of our Solar
System Unit. We are learning
many fun facts from the nasa
site on the smart board! Thank
you to the parents who
supplied items for our Easter
Party! Mrs. Mosier, Mrs. Mehn,
Mr. Resop, Mrs. Trochinski,
and Mrs. Herbst. Thank you all
very much! Have a very
blessed Holy Week!

April is National Poetry
Month. The class has
s t a r t e d w r i t i n g
different kinds of
poems. This week we
wrote Ha iku and
Acrostic poems. Our
Haiku poems were on the
topic of spring and the
acrostic theme was
EASTER.
See all the poems on
page 11!
A Bless Easter and
happy spring break to all!
We have been busy with
achievement tests this
week, so our schedule
has been a little turned
around.
The students were
assigned lesson #106
today in math class.
Test #20 came home
for signatures
We finished our book,
The Mystery of the
Cupboard, in reading
class. We have taken
the reading practice,
vocabulary, and literacy
tests in AR.
The students organized
a small Easter party
today.
Have a wonderful
Easter Break and
celebrate His glorious
resurrection.
With achievement
tests this week, class
time was limited. We
finished a health
chapter. We are also
reading through the
last chapter on the
South Amer ican
countries. When we
return from Easter
break we will review
and test on our
language chapter.
Have a blessed
Easter!
