SDT2012 was the first international conference on service design thinking in the travel and tourism industry. For the first time, the conference brought together a community interested in the practical application of service design thinking within the travel and tourism industry. We shared experiences, connected to new people, discussed challenges, and even developed future opportunities. The conference was the closing event of the project “Service Design in Tourism” funded by the European Union under the CIP Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Program, and hosted by MCI - Management Center Innsbruck, Department of Tourism.

1. 생각보다 짜임새있게 구성2. 데이터 통신이 안 될 때를 대비해 캐시하는 데이터가 많다3. 다만 일방향인 점이 아쉽다.4. 도시별 버전이 있다는 점이 좋고, 사람들의 투표를 통해 다음 제작 도시를 정한다는 점이 흥미로움.
다니는 내내 나의 눈은...
Insights from the Trip1. Wifi되는 민박(숙소) 에서 미리 검색 후 스마트폰으로 사진을 찍어서 다닌다. 데이터로밍은 아직 비싸다.
2. 아무것도 알아보지않고 스마트폰으로 검색해서 다니는 것은 계속 폰 화면만 보게된다는 점과 친구들로부터의 연락이 지속된다는 점 때문에 여행지의 몰입을 떨어뜨린다. 생각보다 검색에 많은 시간이 걸린다. 배터리도 생각보다 빨리 나간다. 데이터가 안되는 지역이 많다.
3.대부분의 사람들이 비행기 안에서 자거나 영화를 본다. 디지털 액정이 여전히 엄청 불편하고 느리다. 영화는 킬러 컨텐츠다.
4.현지어에 대한 장벽이 생각보다 높다.여러 나라를 돌아다니는 것 보다 여러 언어권을 돌아다니는게 더 경계가 뚜렷하다.눈에 보이는 것은 비슷비슷해보이는데, 귀가 경계를 알려준다.
5.사소한 정보가 사람을 괴롭힌다.이제 버스타는거나 티겟 구입하는거, 지하철 노선 보는거는 현지에서 묻거나 들어서 또는 세계적으로 비슷해서 그럭저럭 알 수 있다. 그러나 디테일은 잘 안나와있다. 예를들어 정확히 어떤 티켓을 사야하는지. 어떤 위치에서 타야 맞는 방향인지 등. 이런 분기점들이 디시전 포인트가 되면 결정이 어려워진다.
