SOC limits Abroad at AU student enrollment to the courses listed below. Not all classes are offered every

semester; so, you should check the schedule of classes to confirm a course is being offered during the

semester you are at AU. Please note you must still meet all prerequisites for classes. The School of

Communications requirements for courses can be quite strict. Many classes require a 3.0 GPA and that you

are a third year student. This means you must have completed 4 semesters of college level course work, prior

to registering for this course. You must have ALL stated pre-requisites to register for a class.

1. 학생이 선택한 세 개의 대학교 모두로부터 입학 허가를 받지 못한 경우 보증금 전액이 환불됩니다.

2. 3지망까지 선택하지 않았을 때에는 개인적인 사유로 간주되어 보증금의 50%만 환불됩니다.

처음 지원 시 3지망까지 선택하지 않았다 하더라도, 1지망에 불합격 후 2, 3 지망을 선택할 수 있는 기회가 주어집니다.

또한 3지망까지 모두 불합격되더라도, 학생이 동의할 경우 SAF에서는 합격 시까지 지원을 시도해 드립니다.

3. 세 개의 지원 대학교 중 하나 이상의 대학교로부터 입학 허가를 받았지만 건강상 문제로 지원을 취소하는 경우 보증금

전액이 환불됩니다. 이 경우 최소 12주 이상의 완치 기간이 명시 된 의사진단서가 필요합니다.

4. 세 개의 지원 대학교 중 하나 이상의 대학교로부터 입학 허가를 받았지만 이 후 학생비자를 취득하지 못한 경우 보증금

전액이 환불됩니다.

5. 세 개의 지원 대학교 중 하나 이상의 대학교로부터 입학허가를 받은 후 건강상 문제나 비자 문제를 제외한 개인적인 사유로

지원을 취소하는 경우 보증금의 50%가 환불됩니다.

6. SAF 프로그램에 합격되면 합격통지서와 프로그램계약서를 받게 됩니다. SAF 프로그램 입학을 보장받기 위해서는 합격통지를

받은 날짜로부터 7일 이내에 프로그램 계약서를 작성하여 SAF Korea로 보내주셔야 합니다. 학생이 서명한 프로그램

고등학교 졸업 이후 현재까지 학업을 수행했던 대학교에서 발행하는 공식 영문 성적증명서 원본 2통을 제출합니다. 온라인으로 발급한

경우에는 반드시 컬러로 출력해야 하며, 원본임을 증명할 수 있는 일련번호 및 원본 조회 웹사이트 주소가 성적표 상에 표시 되어야 합니다.

그렇지 않을 경우 원본으로 인정되지 않을 수도 있습니다. 되도록 안전하게 오프라인으로 발급한 성적증명서를 제출하시기 바랍니다.

현재 재학 중인 학교 입학 전에 다른 대학교이나 교육 기관에서 학업을 수행했던 경험이 있는 학생은(예: 편입생) 이전 대학의 영문

성적증명서도 같이 준비해야 합니다.

주의!

해외 대학교에서는 4.0 만점 기준의 등급시스템이므로 4.0 만점 기준의 등급시스템으로 발행된 성적표를 제출하시기 바랍니다. 만약

TOEFL score Reporting

아직 TOEFL 점수 리포팅 요청 하지 않았다면 되도록 빠른 시일 내에 다음과 같이 ETS를 통해 SAF 미국본부 (단, Indiana 대학교로 지원하는

학생들은 Indiana로 1부, SAF 본부로 1부, 이렇게 총 2부를 요청하셔야 합니다)로 리포팅을 요청해 주십시오. SAF 의 ETS Institutional Code는

0097입니다.

지원 학교가 아닌 저희 SAF로 요청해주셔야 합니다.

단, 상기 언급된 바와 같이 Indiana 대학교의 경우 학교로도 1부 더 요청해주셔야 합니다. Indiana 대학교의 ETS institutional code는

1324입니다.

증명서가 발송됩니다. 최종적으로 SAF 본부에 성적 증명서가 도착하기까지는 2주 정도가 소요됩니다.

*주의 (iBT, CBT, PBT 공통):

리포팅 요청 시 사용한 신용 카드의 한도가 초과되었을 경우, 신용 카드 결제가 승인되지 않아 리포팅이 이루어지지 않는 경우가 있습니다.

Ⅵ. Department/Course Preference Form 작성

많은 대학 및 학과에서 학생 지원서를 받은 직후 지원자/예비 학생의 등록희망과목 리스트를 제출하도록 요청하고 있습니다. 학교

웹사이트를 참고하여 지망 학교의 Department/Course Preference Form 을 작성하시기 바랍니다.

대부분의 경우 1지망 학교의 Department/Course Preference Form 만 제출해도 무방하나, 1지망 학교가 Category 1에 해당되는 학교일

경우에는 2지망 학교 동시 지원을 위해 2지망 학교의 Department/Course Preference Form 역시 별도로 제출해야 합니다 (즉, 1지망 학교용

1장, 2지망 학교용 1장, 총 2장 제출). 3 지망 학교의 Department/Course Preference Form 은 제출할 필요가 없으나, 추후 경우에 따라 요청될

수 있습니다.

SAF Program Fee 는 일반적으로 학기당 15-16 학점(미국의 경우) 등록을 기준으로 산정되었습니다. 단, 학교별로 예외가 있으니

SAF Program Fee 표의 학교별 사항을 확인해 주십시오.

학교에서 Course Preference Form 을 요청하는 이유는 지원자의 과목 선호도 및 관심 분야를 사전 파악하기 위한 목적일 뿐, 작성하신 대로

등록해야 할 의무는 없으며 반대로 기입한 과목의 수강을 보장하는 것도 아닙니다. 수강 과목은 학생이 해당 대학교에 도착 후 Academic

Advisor 와의 상담을 통해 학생의 수준 및 관심 분야에 따라 최종 결정됩니다. 과목 등록을 완료하게 되기 때문입니다. Course Preference

Form 에 적은 과목들과는 다른 과목을 등록하고자 하는 경우, 학교 도착 후 Advisor 와의 상담 후에 변경할 수 있습니다.

Section(수업 시간대) 구분이 없는 과목의 경우는 Section 부분을 작성하지 않으셔도 됩니다.

과목당 학점 등 최신 해당 정보를 찾지 못하는 경우 빈칸으로 남겨 두십시오.

2015 년도 봄학기 과목 리스트가 아직 공지되지 않은 경우 전년도 동학기 과목 리스트를 참고하여 작성하시기

바랍니다.

선수 과목(prerequisites) 이수를 요구하는 코스 등록 관련: 일반적으로 한국의 모교에서 유사 과목을 이수한 경우 선수

과목을 이수한 것으로 인정합니다. 반면, 한국에서 유사한 과목을 이수하지 않았거나 이수했더라도 성적이 좋지 않다면

해당 코스 등록이 불가능할 수도 있습니다. 이에 대한 최종 판단은 전적으로 회원 대학교에서 내리는 것이며, 위에서

언급된 바와 같이 지원자 개개인의 수준에 맞는 코스를 등록할 수 있도록 담당 Academic Advisor 와의 상담을 통해

회원 대학교에서 추후 안내할 것입니다.

보통 미국 대학교들의 course code 가 500 또는 5000 이상일 경우 석사 과정 학생을 위한 과목인 경우가 많습니다.

따라서 이러한 과목들은 선택하지 않을 것을 조언 드립니다. 단, 영국학교들의 course code 는 학교별로 다르기 때문에

학교 웹사이트 상의 course numbering system 에 대한 내용을 따로 살펴보시거나, SAF Korea 에 문의해 주시기

바랍니다.
