Once upon a time in a faraway land near the North Pole lived a poor little sweet boy named Jessie. He wore the same rugged clothes everyday but he was still happy because God gave him a very kind and lovable mother and a very hard-working father.

One early morning, Jessie woke up because of his mother’s continuous cough and ran to see what was wrong.

“Go back to bed my little Jessie, it’s too early dear,” Jessie’s mother says with a squeak.

“Mother, what’s wrong? Please, tell me mother,” Jessie responses to her mother.

“Mother is just a little sick today darling but don’t worry, mother is just fine,” Jessie’s mother answers.

Jessie got a little worried about his mother so he begged his mother to go back to bed and told her that he will take care of everything. Jessie then ran to his father and told him that mother isn’t feeling very well today so his father called a doctor and told him to see what was wrong with Jessie’s mother. Jessie and his father waited in the house for almost 3 hours.

After 3 hours had passed, the doctor came out from the room and had to talk to Jessie’s father privately. Jessie didn’t like this idea but then he suddenly saw the frightened look and tears streaming on his father’s eyes so he ran up to him to him and cried “Papa what’s wrong?”

“Momma’s going to heaven with Jesus very soon, Jessie. She won’t be here long enough,” Jessie’s father replied, sobbing.

“No, that can’t be true!,” shouted Jessie angrily at his father then ran to a shoe store nearby.

When Jessie got into the store he miraculously found this perfect pair of shoes that fit just for his mother. He then grabbed the shoes and went to the cash register guy but he only had a few money, not enough to buy the shoes.

He told the register guy," Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Momma, please. These shoes are right for her and they’re just her size. Could you hurry, sir, Papa said there’s not much time, she’s been sick for quite a while and I know these shoes will make her smile and I want her to look beautiful when Momma meets Jesus tonight.”

Jessie then gives the pair of shoes to his mother and his mother cries with tears of joy. They then don’t know what happened but when Jessie reached up to put the shoes on his mother’s feet, they glowed and miraculously healed Jessie’s mother. And so from that day on, Jessie would never forget how great God has given a gift to him for Christmas.

This just means that God always listens to you when you would only believe and have a pure faith in him.
