English uses a pronoun or a noun:he is eating, I am snoring, the dog is running
Latin puts a special ending on the verb.

A conjugation is a group of verbs that behave the same as each other.
For example, in French, there is an -er conjugation [e.g. manger]
There are five main conjugations in Latin. They all use a different vowel.
