ACTIVITY: ARRIVAL OF MISSONARIES AND OUTREACH

TOANAPE, INGINI, MENDI, MEGBI AND BOTTOMHILL

Sowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor

Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived at obudu cattle ranch via Abakiliki from

Enugu on the 1st of Oct 2014. They along with Pastor Victor and Bro John had

a night of strategic plans of which the Becheve map, outreach plans and mission

objectives were drawn out.

Mobilisation trip to Anape on route 1commenced on the second day.

They carried out Anape nindoor crusade of which 37 people gave their life to

Christ. Victor and Kachi begins a missionary journey to Ingini via Mendi and

Megbi while Precious and Salvation takes a trip to bottomhill where they led

people to Christ. On the fourth day Salvy and Precious journeys to Keyi,

climbing the mountains for over 8 hours preaching the gospel on the way to

Keyi village. Kachi and Victor also continue work on missionary route 1.

We were thrown a challenge to win at least one soul from Katele, the

spiritual and political centre of the Becheve people; no soul has been led to

Christ from the Katele Village.

On the fifth day we held church services at both bottom hill and on the

Ranch. We took the bottom hill brethren out on evangelism and led to people to

Christ including a group of elders.

Victor and Kachi arrived from Ingini, Mendi and Megbi on route 2 with

great testimonies of bountiful souls harvest. They had amazing experiences on

the way; the mountains were rough, far and difficult to travel through.

Page 3: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

We began preparations for the Ranch retreat; which featured free

transportation for bottom hill converts, water baptism, infilling of the Holy

Spirit and teachings on knowing Jesus. The rest of the day was to REST.

Ranch Retreat was held at Goff view hotel (Raphael’s lodge). We had

participant fromRanch, Anape, Medi, Megbi and bottom hill. The word was

preached, some persons were filled with the Holy Spirit; the Lord also anointed

some persons to set them apart for ministry. Some persons volunteered for SDS,

to start bible study groups immediately.

Earlier in the day Pastor Victor; our host missionary had requested that

we deferred water baptism till the converts are confined to have generally given

their hearts to Christ. Though two persons requested to be baptised in water, we

could not baptise them yet rather we submitted their names to pastor Victor for

baptism.

Rest days: 6th&7thOct

DATE: 8th-12thOCT.

ACTIVITY: OUTREACH/RETREAT TO NEW KALIMO, ANYAMETU,

AKONJUE, OGBARA and AGUESO

On WED., 8thOct 2014 we (Salvation, Chika, Kachi and Victor) and few

brethren of Becheve (Bro Eric, Bro Alphosons, and Sis Chacha) set out to some

communities/villages located on the outskirts of the republic of Cameroon. The

journey was not at all any close to been easy; the mountains to climb, the hills

to descend and ascend, the clouds to walk in, the water bodies to pass, the

bushes to pass and so many but thank God for the strength granted unto each of

us to keep us going despite the tiredness.(Rom 8:18).

We journeyed for about four hours before we first got to Akonjue where

we had to gather the few families living around the village so we could offer

Page 4: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

them the gift of the Gospel. One thing I wouldn’t forget to mention is that the

Becheve people carries the seed of hospitality in them (1 peter4:9), despite the

fact that they are not rich as the world sees them but they have the grace to host

any number of guest and even feed them even if one shows up unawares.

We preached to them for like 20 minutes and answered few questions

from them; especially questions that concern knowing who we are. Thus, we

proceeded to New Kalimo which is few kiilometers from Akonjue , we were

hosted in the chief’s compound. The next day after brief planning Uncle

Salvation and Bro Kachi left for Agueso, Anyematu and Ogbara while Bro

victor, Bro Alphosons and Sis Chika stayed back at New Kalimo in order to

finish up the evangelical outreach with the people of New Kalimo. Within

Thursday to Saturday we went into all households preaching to them and

inviting them to the retreat which was scheduled to hold on the 12th of Oct. in

the New Kalimo community primary school. Our brethren (Odimnobi,

Williams, Pasto Victor) from the ranch joined us over at New Kalimo on

Saturday from the general retreat. Uncle Salvation and Bro Kachi came back to

new Kalimo on Saturday; they came back with wounderful people that breathe

the zeal to see the gospel of Christ preached on earth, people like Mama Ceci;

may GOD bless her specially, AMEN. Within these few days heavens

welcomed 51 converts from the different villages reached out to.

We had a special evangelical outreach for the chief’s family, made

special prayers and souls were converted.

The retreat commenced proper after the Sunday school held in the

mountain Baptist church. Vessels of honour were used to impact the word of

God and the Holy Spirit into the lives of the people.

Page 5: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

We observed that not everyone believes in the power of the Holy Spirit.

For as much as some acts perplexed over it or laugh at; thank GOD in all things

HE (Holy Spirit) still made himself known in the hearts of many. (Prov 21:1 ).

Uncle Salvation introduced the Sowers Discipleship School to them;

some persons volunteered as SDS teachers. After the Retreat the DS volunteers

were taken through a section of Orientation which exposed them to what the

SDS is all about which also gave room to questions from the volunteers.

At the retreat we recorded 100 attendants, 11 SDS volunteers/teachers, 2

saved souls and 3 people who were filled with the Holy Spirit. The pastor and

his wife set served us rice and stew which we ate and left for the ranch.

Challenges encountered

-Those facing addictions.

-Those that own Bibles but can’t read it because they don’t know how to read.

-Practice of country fashion (idolatry).

-They would only be saved if we plant a pastor so they won’t have to go back to

country fashion.

ACTIVITY: MEDICAL OUTREACH/IMALE RETREAT

OUTREACH TO IMALE I, OLD KALIMO, KAJINGA, KATELE,

IMALE II, APAMBU, MEMGBE I, MEMGBE II

On the14thOct. we had prayer chain all through into the next day with

interceding prayers especially for the land of KETELE of which we got to

discover swim in High Ocean of idolatry.

Page 6: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

Sowers decided to use the medical outreach as a means of luring them

down so we could preach Christ to them. According to plans katele was to be

used as a base for the medical outreach and Imale I as the centre of Retreat.

We (Sowers brethren and few Becheve brethen) set off from the ranch on

the morning of Wednesday been 15thOct. to Imale. We arrived Imale I after

about three hours. We reached out to the people of Imale II of which the head of

a particular home encouraged us to plant a church there in his village since he is

too old to walk a long distance to Imale I where REO ministries exist.

We created two teams of five persons per team. Team A comprised;

Nwachi, Chika, Victor, Clementine and Favour so as to achieve our target

within the time space available. Team B comprised Kachi, Williams, Pastor

Faith, Pastor Rene and Claudia. On that same day we arrived Imale I, we rested

briefly after which team A set out to Old Kalimo, Kajinga and Katele while

team B set out to Apambu, Memgbe I, Memgbe II.

The gospel of the Lord must be preached despite the challenges and

setbacks. Words cannot explain the type of terrain we passed through; amidst

the rain and the roadless road but in all we bless HIS name. Team A and Team

B got to old Kalimo and Apambu respectively in the night of that same day; we

were welcomed with a nice reception and offered a place to bath (open air

service) after which we were offered a mountain of foo-foo and egusi soup that

housed numerous meat. Later that night in Old kalimo we gathered a few

villagers together and preached Christ unto them. Nwachi gave the word,

prayed for them and made some prophectic declarations to them.

The next day Team A went for further evangelism to other

houses/families. A particular man came shouting/disturbing/challenging us that

he doesn’t want our church in his own church (Roman Catholic); he claimed he

doesn’t like our own Jesus because its only Roman Catholic Jesus he knows…

Page 7: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

thank God for the fruit of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) and in all the villagers were

interested in our own Jesus and were willing to hear what we had to say. We

recorded five people who gave their life to Christ due to the circumstances we

couldn’t take their names. A person volunteered to work with us; Nwachi asked

him few questions and afterwards allowed him to go on with us. Team A

marched on to kajiga preaching the word of God; while in Kajinga some

converts refused giving us their names because they feel we are slave traders

that have come to sell them off. Started our route down to Katele where we

arrived late in the evening. The chief of Katele welcomed us well; giving us

food and a place to sleep. We made known our motives for coming; which

included preaching the gospel and carrying out a medical outreach, the chief

requested that we wait till morning when he would be able to discuss with his

kinsmen.

We had a prayer chain that night; we got some revelations concerning a

snake at the entrance of Katela with its mouth wide open ready to swallow

God’s own but the name of Jesus was able to defeat it.

The next morning; after a beautiful time out with God we had to wait for

the chief’s summon since our next line of action depended on that. Later that

morning the Chief, his kinsmen and we met in the sitting room; we stated out

our mission once again to the ears of everyone present. The kinsman that spoke

first appreciated what we came for but… he said and asked if we have any

permit from the DO (District Officer) of Cameroon because that’s the only way

they could permit us to do what we came for. The chief also included an

incidence that occurred previously when some people came on a medical

service on which the news got to the ear of the DO and the chief himself was

called for interrogation and he was able to exonerate himself by saying that he

was not around when the medical practitioners came and so was severely

Page 8: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

warned that on no occasion should he entertain foreigners in the land of Katele

if they can’t present a permit from the DO.

We obviously had no permit; we made some inquiries as to process a

permit and we were told the location, how long it takes (few hours-one day) and

what is required (any form of I.D to indicate our nationality) but none of us had

any form of I.D. while we awaited the rest we had to strategise the next plan to

take up. We were joined by the other team; had a brief talk and came up with a

plan to use Imale 1as the center for medical outreach afterwards we called on

the chief and asked him to inform his people about the medical outreach which

will hold in Imale I, and also the date for the outreach. We invited all the family

members of the Chief and prayed for them; prayer request from them where

taken and prayed about.

Off we set down to Imale I; within the past few days there has been

regular rainfalls. Well we encountered one of the rivers which the people of

Katele dread so much that has caused them to refrain from crossing over to

other villages because of incidence of people that got drown in the river.

Though the current of the river was at a high rise but God saw us through it. We

journeyed for about one hour before we finally arrived Imale.

While we were waiting for the medical team we had prayer watch

interceding especially for the land of Katele. The Sowers Medical Team along

with few becheve disciples arrived in the afternoon of 19th of Oct.

Report of Sowers National Outreach Medical Mission to Becheve

Community

The medical outreach held at Imale village on 18 and 19th October 2014,

and 20th was for reaching out to Ranch community – our operational base.

Average total number attended to was 170 with female dominance. Three

medical doctors and one nurse worked with other non-health personnel in

Page 9: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

delivery healthcare, counselling and prayers. All Sowers in the field were handy

in playing various roles for a successful mission.

The pattern of operation was registration/documentation, then to vital

signs section after which the patient sees a doctor who assesses him or her and

refer for counseling and prayers before they finally collect their drugs at the

pharmacy section. Wide range of drugs for different ailments were available

with blood sugar testing services rendered.

The highlights were that of diagnosing and treatment of ailments, health

advice, spiritual counselling and prayers/deliverance sessions. Diverse healing,

deliverance as well as repentance and baptism in the Holy Ghost were wrought

by the Almighty in the course of the project.

Financial report is summarised thus: N65,000 out of the 95,000 released

by CEC was used for purchase of drugs and other related items and N30,000

returned to Precious from where Salvy released 5,000 to sponsor power cable

ride for medical team members on departure.

Observations and recommendations: Surprisingly, no abnormal blood

sugar level was recorded and only one case of hypertension was detected (in an

elderly man). There physical exercise and mountainous terrain is most likely a

key player. The commonest ailment was joint and body pains followed by ulcer

(which invariably is due to frequent use of pain killers). Skin infections and

malaria were also noted. I do recommend that effort to establish a dispensary or

primary health centre in the community and training of traditional birth

attendants will go a long way in alleviating their suffering.

Sowers National Outreach was a great success and the medical mission was

impactful.” It is a privilege and honour to have served as the medical mission

coordinator”-Dr Udo Chibueze.

Page 10: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

Later that night, after attending to the villagers we had a brief meeting

where Uncle Salvy appreciated everyone for their efforts thus far in making the

medical outreach a huge success. Afterwards he introduced Chika as the new

sowers admin and also inaugurated four person committee for the next NATO

namely; Una Kelvin(Cordinator), Kelechi Peters(Asst. Cordinator 1) and

Akoma Kachi(Asst. Cordinator 2) and Nnadi Chika; Sowers CEC

EAA(Secretary), We on our own part did not fail to commit the katele people

who came for the medical outreach into God’s hand so HE could perfect what

HE had already started in the land of Katele.

On 20thOct been a Sunday some of the medical team and few sowers

members left for the ranch in order to return to their respective stations. We

commenced the Sunday service that same morning, while bro Kelvin and Pastor

Linus went down to Imale II to plant a church. Twenty-six persons attended the

church that morning and an offering of #700 was raised.

The retreat at Imale I commenced the next day with Dr Sampson that

preached after which prayers was said and four persons got filled with the Holy

Spirit. Uncle Salvi asked for interested volunteers for SDS and a total of 17

persons volunteered which included two persons from Katele; as needed Uncle

Salvi introduced what SDS meant and the requirements. We left for the

ranch(our base) later that day.

Rest days: 21st&22nd

DATE: 23th-25thOct. 2014

ACTIVITY: A 3-DAY CRUSADE AT BOTTOM HILL

We set out for bottomhill from our base in the evening of 23rd, which was

a Thursday…the crusade ground was already been set up by some of the REO

ministry brethren. On arrival we were taken to where we would be sleeping.

Page 11: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

Uncle Salvy brought us together (Sowers and Becheve brethren); we started

with a section of prayer after which we were directed by Uncle Salvy to go into

different homes to invite/remind them of the crusade that was to hold. We

parted into different teams and start mobilization immediately.

The crusade commenced proper at past seven with praise and worship

section after which Kachi Akoma came up to minister to them for about 40-

50mins; he continued by giving chance to those that wished to surrender their

life to Christ and also filled those that desired the filling of the Holy Spirit. He

also gave some prophetic messages and then general prayer which comprised,

healing for the sick, those with different issues of life. Although the rain came

but we were at the end of the programme. We also informed them that we had

prayer and counselling section for anyone who had a need for a special prayer

and told them it was to take place at the lodge where we were staying. We

recorded 118 persons that attended the crusade, those that were saved and also

filled with the Holy Spirit.

The next morning we had general prayer/morning devotion…Uncle Salvy

spoke on the significance of being empowered by the Holy Spirit and urged us

on praying in the Spirit, which everyone started praying for a number of

minutes. Under his instruction we were to go to all homes in bottomhill and

pray for them by just telling them we have come to pray for them and if they

also have any issue they would like us to pray about, then we pray.

Been divided into four teams we set out to different homes, where we

prayed for them, also prayed concerning healing to anyone that was sick or that

had any life challenges and reminded them toward the crusade that was to hold;

the house-to-house prayer was carried out for one hour. We returned to our base

there in bottomhill.

Page 12: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

Within the morning kachi Akoma held a bible study section with our

brethren where he taught them how to work with the anointing of God. Later

that day some persons came to share with us their healing testimonies; two

sisters testified of been healed of asthma and ulcer respectively.

Later in the evening at 6pm the crusade started with praise and worship

after which testifiers came up to share their testimonies. People testified of

healings from Ulcer, ear pain, asthma, diabetics, stomach problems…God be

praised in all the testimonies because Him alone did it.

Uncle Salvy preached to them, led those that wish to be born again to

Christ and also prayed for them. Afterwards people with various ailments were

prayed for. 141 persons that attended the crusade on the second day. Later that

night we were joined by Katcee and Ik from Owerri.

The next day, we had joined morning prayers with the brethren. Later in

the evening the brethren set out for evangelism to preach the gospel of Christ.

The crusade commenced between the hours of six and seven…we had praise

and worship section then testimonies time; there were so many testimonies of

ulcers, ear pains, leg pain, diabetics…and so many other sickness that they got

healed of. The sermon was taken by Kachi Akoma; then he carried out several

sections of prayers. Prayer for those who gave their life to Christ, prayer for the

sick, prophetic prayers, infilling of the Holy Spirit. He gave a prophesy on God

releasing diverse gifts of the Holy Spirit…right there and then there were

exhibition of the gifts. There were some persons that got the gift of vision,

prophecies. Special prayers were said for the Becheve brethren…there was an

Auction from God to specially lay hands on them (Reo ministry workers).

General prayers were said for the numbers of persons (171 persons) that

attended the last day of crusade. We held a service with the brethren the next

Page 13: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

day been Sunday with 58 persons in attendance. We also took the opportunity to

invite them for the communion service and Love feast

We left for the Ranch that same day; according to our plans we were

supposed to go with the cable cab as appreciation to some of us that stayed to

the end but as fate would have it the cable cab services just made up their mind

to be out of services that day due to bad weather.

DATE: 27thOct.2014

ACTIVITY: LOVE FEAST HELD FOR THE SDS VOLUNTEERS

According to the programme we were supposed to hold a communion

service and love feast for the total number of SDS teachers that volunteered to

be a part of the discipleship school; in respect to the phone call from Dr Dan

Ozioko we were asked to scrap out the communion service; based on his

reasons we need to follow up their level of commitment to the things of God

before we could carry out the communion; and so we just held a love feast

though we still had communion with the Holy Spirit and there is no other

communion that could be more than that which took place at Raphael’s lodge

there in the ranch. By God’s grace we were able to make eba and egusi fish

soup to appreciate them thus far.

On Monday morning during our morning devotion we shared our

experiences and things we wanted to thank God for; it was an awesome moment

shared together with ourselves (Salvi, Precious, Kachi and Chika). Later on we

gathered our host family and some other brethren present and each of us

(sowers) prayed and blessed them; I must say they were indeed a great source of

blessing to us all. The love feast started in the afternoon with about twenty SDS

teachers in attendance. The event was opened with worship and prayers which

was taken by Pastor Victor thereafter Uncle Salvi took them through a section

of the word; he emphasised on walking with the Holy Spirit and taught them

Page 14: sowersintl.orgsowersintl.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/NATO-2014.docx · Web viewSowers missionaries which included, Uncle Salvation Alibor, Victor Okorie and Kachi Akoma arrived

what it takes to be empowered for God’s walk; he also refreshed their minds on

what the SDS school was all about and at most he left no stone unturned. He

went further to inquire those that have started process due to the SDS school

and from what we know someone(Bro Vasco) has started his classes already

with a number of two persons, six persons has gotten members ranging from 2-5

but they are yet to start while eight persons has just gotten venues for the SDS

classes; for the rest persons we asked them how far they have gone and they

each indicated when they plan to start and some factors like they are still in

search of venues to use. Uncle Salvi and Apostle Kachi Akoma prayed a general

prayer for them. After saying the grace and exchange of numbers we ushered

them to our host (Pastor Victor) house where they were served the light

refreshment we had for them.

We couldn’t go the rest places that lie at the outskirts of Cameroon; for

the reason of lack of permit and other factors that came up.

In all we really want to appreciate GOD form making the National

Outreach a success; for the shelter, the food, the grace, the health, the journey

mercies, the deliverances, the impact of the Holy Spirit, the people of Becheve,

the souls that gave their life to Christ, the medical outreach, the challenges and

grace to overcome them.

SONG OF PRAISE

All the glory must be to the LORD

For HE is worthy of our praise;

No man on earth should give glory to himself…

’cos all the glory must be to the LORD.
