Solution

For the legacy data transfer of cost objects (orders, projects or sales orders) for which a results analysis is carried out, you can proceed as follows for the affected cost objects: If you want to go live on January 1st, 2003 for example do the following:

1. Transfer the actual costs and actual revenues that have been cumulated until period 12.2002 to period 12.2002.

2. Transfer the complete plan values.

3. Transfer the results analysis data either by

a) executing a results analysis in period 12.2002

b) or by transferring the results analysis data with transaction KKA4, KKA5 or KKA6; For the transfer from the R/2 System use report SAPKKA15. Before starting the transfer select the 'Legacy data transfer' indicator in the definition of the results analysis version.

4. Settle the affected general cost objects using the 'Settlement' transaction if a settlement is planned in your case. The settlement may generate the following in period 12.2002

a) Inventory and reserve postings in financial accounting

b) Inventory and reserve postings in profit center accounting

c) Entries in the Profitability Analysis

This has to be taken into account with the transfer in the affected areas.
