Business Example

With the former UI for order types an order oftencontained more information and data fields thannecessary making it difficult for the user to navigate andmaintain the relevant fields.

Examples for orders where you might need less fieldsthan offered in the old UI:

- Standing orders, which are not used for planningpurposes, but only to record time and material

- Repair orders where only one operation is needed, butno material components will be planned

Define Tab Pages:

Enter Tab Page number, a title and (optional) a symbolSet Tab as activeAssign up to 8 subscreens per Tab

Define View Profiles: Tabs (II)

The Tab settings are displayed in the order in the following way:

Some data of the tabs in the old UI cannot yet be displayed by the new UI tablogic, e.g. location data, costs, component detail data, etc.It is possible to switch between old and new UI in the order via button

Define View Profiles: Navigation (I)

Define Navigation:

The navigation settings refer to the push buttons of the entry screen oftransactions IW31, IW32 etc.

You can define for each available push button, to which of the tabs of theprofile the system should jump when the button is pushed.If for a button no navigation settings are made, the system jumps to Tab 1 andan info message is displayed.

Assign View Profiles to Order Types

The view profile can be assigned to every combination of order type, planningplant and activity category

The activity category defines whether the profile is valid for creation, changeor display of the order If no entry is made for the activity category, the assignment is valid in general
