This locomotive was one of four fitted by King’s Cross shed with an eight inch shorter chimney to work excursions from Hatfield to Southend-on-Sea. Rectangular cast brass with red background originating from Bagnall 0-4-0ST 2842/1946 no. 2 built for the Kent Electric Power Company based at Littlebrook Power Station near Dartford and later used at Croydon ‘A’ Power Station. Preserved in November 1972 and became the first locomotive to arrive at the Mid Hants Railway 1973. Named HAMPSHIRE in May 1980 and later finding homes at Tucktonia, Avon Valley, Foxfield and Chasewater Railways. 29¾” x 5”.

A Southern Railway Ship’s Port Hole. Originates from the S.S. Invicta ordered 13/02/1939 and built by William Denny & Bros Ltd, Dunbarton as yard no. 1344, being launched 14/12/1939 and completed 06/1940. The ship was immediately requisitioned by the Admiralty for use as a troop ship during WW2 becoming ‘HMS Invicta’. Returned to SR 1945 for use on the Dover to Calais route from 1946 to 08/1972 when it was withdrawn and finally scrapped in Brugge, Belgium. Cast brass, c/w fittings, HUMBER SHIPREPAIRERS LTD label. Unrestored. 15¾” dia.
