This occupational assessment does not only cover candidates

graduating from TVET institutions but whoever feels

competent to perform according to the industry

requirements as stipulated in the competence standards, regardless of the way the

person acquired the competence/s, as well. This directive, therefore, governs the implementation of all the assessment and certification

system in the NTQF.

It is an established fact

that the quality of outcome-based

TVET delivery will be measured

through occupational assessment.
