Long-Arm QuiltingThe quilting machine continues to stay busy. We have bookings in Aug and Sep already, but there are time slots still available… for hourly rental or for the free orientation. And we’re still running the introductory pricing. So call soon and see if

there’s a time that works for you. Christy

Silk Ribbon EmbroideryAnother area that we’ve been branching out into is silk ribbon embroidery. We’re pleased to be one of the few shops in the area now carrying “River Silks’ ribbon . Look for our selection of both 7mm and 4mm ribbon. And for those of you needing a little help getting started in this beautiful needle craft, we have the Silk Ribbon Embroidery Bible in stock. Or better yet, ask about our Silk Ribbon Embroidery classes now being planned for September.

What's New Around the Shop...What's New Around the Shop...Bundles of Hope

We want to thank all of the customers who have helped raise awareness of

ovarian cancer through their purchase of the Bundles of Hope kits. We are thrilled to be able to say that there are only a few bundles left. If you end up missing out but are still interested in the effort, you can always find more info at www.blankquilting.com

Batiks ?Yes Batiks. We’ve never carried much in the way of Batiks in the past, but with the growing number of appliqué projects we figured that needed to change. We now have a respectable selection to chose from… check them out next time you’re in the shop.

Flutterby quilt: One of our latest displays is a simple diamond log quilt made up using the Flutterby collection from Tula Pink. The Flutter collection is a vibrant “monument to the breath of life and the beating of tiny wings”…yea, it features a lot of bugs! We thought a bright and whimsical quilt like this would be great for kids heading back to college this fall. We have patterns, jelly rolls and a couple bolts from the collection.
