Part 6: Exchange Type
Management Traineeship (MT) - The exchange participant (student) has the opportunity to work in acompany, NGO, government, university or other organization and will spend the majority of his/her timeworking in areas related to management. These areas may include finance, accounting, marketing,project management, organizational management or human resources. Estimated exchange period is 6-12 months.
Technical Traineeship (TT) - The exchange participant (student) has the opportunity to work in acompany, NGO, government, university or organization and will spend the majority of his/her time workingin areas related to information technology or engineering projects. These areas may include webdevelopment and management, software development and programming, system analysis and design,network management and database management. Technical skills, experience and expertise are requiredto participate in this type of internship. Estimated exchange period is 6-12 months.
Development Traineeship (DT) - The exchange participant (student) has the opportunity to work in acompany, NGO, government, university or organization and will spend the majority of his/her time workingin areas related to community development issues. These areas may include childrens rights,environmental issues, education, rural development and entrepreneurship. Estimated exchange period is

Projects Based on eXchanges (PBOX)
1. PBOXs are aimed at helping alleviate pertinent social issues within the regional area. SMU
currently has 2 PBOXs, namely BEADS (Be Engaged and Dynamic in Society) and POL (Poverty
through Our Lenses). They deal with the topic of HIV/AIDS and poverty respectively.
- Members will work in smaller teams to plan and execute events that will showcase
different perspectives of the issues. Members will also have to obtain financing for theirevents.
- Members will also get to work with members from other AIESEC committees.
- Leadership opportunities are available to members who are willing to step up.
2. Members are highly encouraged to go on Developmental Traineeships /Educational Traineeships
(DT/ET) to complete the whole AIESEC Experience.

Recruitment Task Force
1. This initiative provides an opportunity for members to spearhead all aspects of the recruitment
process
2. Includes planning and executing the recruitment campaign, generating all publicity materials,
organizing and conducting interviews, as well as collating job profiles for all new members.
3. Members in this task force will be working together with various other departments for this
process.

Senior Engagement Team
1. Senior members are one of the biggest assets in AIESEC SMU, with much organizationalknowledge and functional experience to their name.
2. The Senior Engagement Team will primarily be responsible for ensuring that there is an effective
mechanism for knowledge transfer from these seniors to other members of AIESEC.
3. Will be generating activities and initiatives to engage these members and ensure that they remain
connected to the organization.
