Dear Members, Hope you all are doing well and managing to stay dry. Looks like we got more rain than we asked for in last couple of weeks! And it still hasn’t stopped. We had a well-attended and successful technical meeting in February where Mr. Verle shared some great insight in to chiller plant control strategy. Our March technical meeting will be on ASHRAE 90.4 – Energy standard for Data Centers. We are glad to have Mr. Tim Chadwick, President of Alfa Tech Consulting Engineers, who will be speaking on this topic. Data Center constructions are very dynamic in nature and Tim has lot of experience in handling Data Center projects. It will be a great opportunity for us to learn about the new ASHRAE 90.4 standard from Tim, who helped develop it. We are also looking for volunteers to monitor ASHRAE tech sessions for the upcoming Annual summer conference at Long Beach, CA. Monitors will have their conference registrations free, almost $500/- worth! Signup sheets will be available at our upcoming chapter meeting. Don’t miss this opportunity!! ACE Roles:

• ASHRAE is set to volunteer with ACE at Monta Vista High School on 4/25 at 4:00-6:00 PM

• We need a speaker to talk about Mechanical and Electrical systems, and do a

short presentation. • They are also looking for cool sites to visit with the students, typically from 4:00-

6:00PM as well.
