On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are greatly honored and pleased to welcome you all to the 11th Asia Pacific Congenital & Structural Heart Intervention Symposium (APCASH 2021). We are delighted to see many
of our friends and colleagues from abroad and Hong Kong to share their invaluable insights and expertise.
APCASH is a fast growing meeting dedicated to congenital & structural interventions in the Asia Pacific region. Over the past few years, the conference has been well known for live case transmissions and taped case demonstrations from renowned hospitals worldwide. We believe our participants will gain substantial knowledge through learning from the experts around the globe.
This year, a 1-day program with Main Session and Breakout Session, will focus on topics of Challenges in Transcatheter Intervention, Challenges in Mitral Valve Management, From the Septum to the Appendage, Most Challenging Case Sharing from Experts, TAVI Session, Congenital Session - Pulmonary Valve, Paediatric Session - Neonatal & Infant Intervention, Allied Health Session and ENCORE Seoul @APCASH.
We have taped case sharing and keynote lecture from Hong Kong and international experts, bringing to you the latest advance in interventional therapeutics for both paediatric and structural heart diseases and discussion of various strategies and techniques.
APCASH 2021 Distinguished Lecture will be delivered by Professor John Cheatham, who is Professor Emeritus, Department of Pediatrics, Cardiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and past Co-Director of The Heart Center and Director of Cardiac Catheterization at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

About HKCASH
The Hong Kong Society of Congenital & Structural Heart Disease (HKCASH), founded in August 2007, is an academic organization in Hong Kong that aims to promote, maintain and pursue excellence in the care of patients with congenital and structural heart diseases. The society is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and training in medical disciplines pertinent to above-mentioned diseases. To accomplish this mission, the society hosts regular professional academic meetings, introduces education materials to the patients and the general public throughout the year.
The primary activity of the HKCASH will be conducting an annual meeting for healthcare professionals. The Asia Pacific Congenital & Structural Heart Intervention Symposium is an annual conference that is attended by dedicated healthcare professionals from Asia Pacific region.

Academic AccreditationRegistered delegates are strongly encouraged to participate the whole event. An Evaluation will be sent to all delegates to collect their valuable feedbacks with required information of attendance sheet from each college after the Conference.
1. If delegates wish to get the accreditation points from the colleges and professional institutions, the duration of participant’s online attendance must be more than 50% of total duration of the event. Log-in and log-out time will be recorded by the system as a proof of your attendance.
2. For CNE Accreditation, please complete and return the Evaluation Survey which will be sent to you within 3 days after the Conference in order to obtain the electronic version of "Certificate of Attendance* and CNE points. Online attendance must be more than 80% of total duration of the event.
3. The final accreditation will be at the discretion of individual college / association. The Secretariat will send your attendance to the listed Colleges you specified on the Evaluation Survey directly.
Participants who attend the event in person are required to sign-up the attendance sheet which will be displayed next to the registration counter.

John P. Cheatham, MD, is Professor Emeritus, Department of Pediatrics, Cardiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and past Co-Director of The Heart Center and Director of Cardiac Catheterization at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, he completed his residency at Boston Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
Dr. Cheatham’s area of expertise is transcatheter intervention and Hybrid therapy of newborns, children, and adults with complex congenital heart disease. He has pioneered several new techniques and devices in nonsurgical intervention, as well as being a world leader in developing new Hybrid therapies. Dr. Cheatham has been a principal investigator in numerous FDA sponsored clinical trials evaluating nonsurgical transcatheter heart valves, closure devices, and stent therapy over the past two decades. Additionally, Dr. Cheatham designed the world’s first Hybrid Cardiac Catheterization Suites and advanced imaging equipment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which allows the interventionalist & cardiothoracic surgeon to perform combined therapy in order to improve clinical outcomes in patients referred to The Heart Center. He serves as a consultant to various medical companies and proctors, or teaches, new transcatheter techniques and devices to other physicians around the world. Dr. Cheatham served as Co-Director of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital International Program and has implemented a formal physician exchange program with two of the leading medical institutions in China. In cooperation with China Red Cross, he is also the Foreign Director of the International Training Center for treatment of congenital heart disease in poor children.
