Choose from our range of Telstra approved Polypropylene 6mm rope, or our 3mm Orange mono braid in a 1000m roll. These Hauling ropes & Braids are manufactured to the highest standard and are recognised as specified products under the Telstra Rope contract. The Telstra Rope is a high strength three strand PP rope made up of one Blue strand, and two Yellow strands, and is UV stabilised. The 3mm Orange braid is a high strength lightweight general purpose cord, with high abrasive resistance qualities, and is also specified with Telstra.

Cable Pulling Tape eliminates the additional expense of Jet Line, rope and or winch line combinations. An all in one product, being a pull line, a measuring tape, proofing, locating and a winch line, all of which contributes to an overall lower cost on labour, inventory and material. The basic problems of pulling cable through conduit or ducts can now be solved by the use of the IPD Power Conduit Line Blower system, which is especially suited for long duct runs. A three-motor system allows you to choose the right speed for your needs. With all three motors engaged, the Power Conduit Line Blower will deliver up to 300 cfm (8.5 m3/min) of air at 3 psi (.2 bar) max. pressure.

FOAM LINE CARRIERS

IPD Cable Chute Line Carriers adjust to fit the diameter of a variety of conduit sizes and are designed to conform to cable occupied conduits. The cable chute line carriers are made with coated nylon, & feature a large open mouth that maximises airflow, thus allowing for faster & further travel.

Foam line carriers are one of the most common ways to carry pull tape through empty conduit, these versatile line carriers are also used as a cable lubricant spreader. SHORT CIRCUIT FORCE CALCULATION

When adjacent cables carrying three phase current suffer a short circuit fault, the induced magnetic fields result in the cables experiencing significant opposing forces.The forces experienced by a cleat during a short circuit are a function of:- Short circuit current in kA peak.- Cleat spacing.- Distance between the cable centres (in the case of trefoil arrangements, this is the cable diameter).

The following formula taken from the current standard IEC 61914:2009 for cable cleats calculates the force experienced by a cleat with cables arranged in trefoil formation:

Ft = maximum force on the cable connector in trefoil formation for a three phase short-circuit (N/m).ip = the peak short-circuit current (kA).S = the cable diameter (m).This formula gives the static load instantaneously created by the short circuit, however the phase changes of the alternating current means that the force on the cable and their direction are changing continuously. No simple formula and no static test can assess the effect of these dynamic forces.

The ultimate proof of any product to withstand a short-circuit is to undertake a short-circuit test.Ellis Patents carry out short circuit tests on a regular basis at various testing stations in accordance with the requirements of the current standards.Contact your local IPD Branch or Customer Service at 1300 556 601 for a copy of test reports and video footage of tests on CD.

Features:- Manufactured in extruded aluminium (6000 series) to BS EN 755.- Tested to 96kA peak @ 0.1sec.- Zinc plated steel closing fasteners.- One bolt fixing hole of 10.4mm.- Where galvanic corrosion is an issue, the cleat can be supplied with an alternative low smoke zero halogen base.
