anomalies and multi element soil geochemical anomalies for zinc, copper, and lead were found but there was no follow up done. (N.D.M.E. Ref. NFLD (1030).  1980‐1981  ‐ Gulf Minerals  Canada  Ltd.  conducted  regional  reconnaissance  geological mapping at a scale of 1:50000 (1.5km line spacing) and locally more detailed mapping at a scale of 1:20000 from Bobby’s Pond  in the southwest to the western part of current Celtic licence 4832M in the northeast. Samples were analysed for whole rock and trace element  geochemistry.  The  entire  claim  area  was  subject  to  an  airborne electromagnetic  and  magnetic  survey,  flown  by  Aerodat  Ltd.  In  September,  1981. (N.D.M.E Ref.12A/10 (317) )  1982‐1983  ‐  Granges  Exploration  purchased  the  Victoria  River  project  from  Gulf Minerals Canada  Ltd. after Gulf decided  to disband  its mineral exploration affiliate  in 1982. As described above, only the west side of current Celtic licence 4832M is covered by this land package. In 1983, Granges did linecutting, a ground geophysical survey and 1220 meters of contract diamond drilling. Only one hole is situate within current Celtic ground,  VR‐16.  All  drill  tested  EM  conductors were  explained  by  graphite.  In  VR‐16 graphite and limestone was intersected. The core from all drill holes is still sitting on the ground near the drill sites. (N.D.M.E. Ref. 12A/9 (354) )  1986‐1993 ‐ Inco Exploration and Technical Services Inc. acquired by staking, a parcel of land almost  identical  to  that previously held by Gulf Minerals and Granges. Following reconnaissance geological and geochemical surveys, eight grids were cut over a span of several  years  covering  the most  favourable  ground.  Inco’s  grid  2  is  on  current  Celtic ground,  at  the  southwest  of  licence  4832M.  Detailed  geological,  geochemical  and geophysical  surveys were done on  selected  grids  and was  followed up with diamond drilling on specific targets. In 1988, the Bobby’s Pond VMS deposit was discovered and exploration on other parts of the property intensified. On grid 2, a silica‐sericite‐pyrite‐arsenopyrite‐fuchsite  alteration  zone  was  mapped  as  was  an  long  narrow  unit  of siliceous heterolithic breccia with occasional pyrite clasts. Soil geochemistry confirmed the coincident presence of alteration and moderate anomalies  in copper, zinc, arsenic, silver and gold. HLEM, VLF‐EM, magnetics and TDEM surveys were then done on grid 2. On  the  extreme western  boundary  of  current  licence  4832M,  Inco  drilled  two  deep DDH’s to test deep TDEM conductors. One of the two may actually be  just outside the Celtic claim boundary. A short winkie hole was drilled on an airborne EM conductor on grid 2 east of the known areas of alteration. All conductors were explained by graphite. No drilling was done on the alteration zones and there was no trenching done to try and explain the soil geochemical anomalies.   1989‐1991  ‐ Cominco Ltd. acquired by  staking, a parcel of  land covering  the east and central portions of the current Celtic claims. They staked up to the Inco claim boundary in  the west, where Inco’s grid 2 terminated (described above). Work done consisted of geological mapping,  lithogeochemical  sampling, prospecting,  soil  sampling and  stream sediment  sampling  surveys over much of  the  same area covered by AMOCO  in 1977‐

1978,  i.e. the east part of  licence 4832M and  licence 4880M. Reconnaissance mapping was  also done over  to  the  Inco  claim boundary.  Lithogeochemical  sampling  indicated that the massive volcanics in the central and northern parts of the property are of calc‐alkaline affinity. Detailed  soil  sampling confirmed AMOCO’s anomalies  in  the east but due  to  poor  bedrock  exposure  the  anomalies  were  not  explained.  Large  loop  time domain EM was proposed but never completed due to budget constraints.   1995‐1998 – Celtic Minerals  Ltd  carried out an AEM/Mag  survey, geological mapping, soil  sampling, ground magnetics, gravity, and VLF‐EM  surveys as well as  trenching, 21 diamond drill holes (5380m) and borehole EM.  1999  –  Rio  Algom  conducted  soil  sampling,  geological  mapping,  VLF‐EM  survey,  3 diamond drill holes  (2051m) and borehole EM.   The property was also  included  in the Billiton Exploration Geoterrex‐Dighem Airborne geophysical survey.  2000‐2001 – Celtic Minerals conducted a compilation of all previous work on the Hungry Hill  Property  and  also  completed  a  lithogeochemical  survey,  trenching  and  diamond drilling (1 hole, 449m).   4.0  GEOLOGY        4.1  Regional Geology       The  following description of the regional geology  (Figure 3)  is summarized  from Evans (1996) and Evans et al. (1989):    The  island of Newfoundland  forms  the northern end of  the Appalachian Orogen.   The geological subdivisions of the  island  from west to east, the Humber, Dunnage, Gander and Avalon, are based on stratigraphic and structural contrasts related to the formation and  later destruction of a  late Precambrian  ‐ early Paleozoic ocean known as  Iapetus, the  proto‐Atlantic  Ocean.    The  Humber  Zone,  in  the west,  a  remnant  of  the  North American continental margin,  is comprised of Paleozoic shelf  facies units  (sedimentary rocks) deposited on crystalline Precambrian  (Grenville) basement.   The Dunnage  zone units,  in  central  Newfoundland,  consist  of  ophiolitic  and  volcanic,  volcaniclastic  and sedimentary rocks of  island arc and back arc affinity that represent the vestiges of the Iapetus  (proto  Atlantic)  Ocean.    The  Gander  Zone,  in  east  central  Newfoundland,  is comprised of mainly deep water  sedimentary  rocks deposited  at or near  the eastern side  of  Iapetus.  The  Avalon  Zone,  in  eastern  Newfoundland,  is  formed  by  late Precambrian  volcanic,  sedimentary  and  plutonic  rocks  overlain  by  early  Paleozoic platformal  sedimentary  rocks  which  formed  part  of  the  European  continent  (Evans, 1996).

4.2 Property Geology  The Hungry Hill claims are underlain by a diversity of  rock  types  including  rocks  from both  the  Buchans  group  and  Victoria  Lake  Group  (Figure  4).  Three  quarters  of  the property  from north  to  south  is dominated by mixed  felsic and  intermediate  to mafic volcanic flows, flow breccias, tuffs and volcaniclastic sediments. Subordinate amounts of epiclastic sediments also underlie this area. The southern one quarter of the property is dominated  by  argillite  and  greywacke  with  minor  intercalated  lenses  of  felsic  to intermediate  volcanic.  The  areal  extent  of  each  domain  is  separated  by  a  sharp, rectilinear, northeast trending transition, extending across the entire property, that can be easily seen on colour total field magnetic and vertical gradient magnetic maps. As the sharp transition is approached from north to south, the colour gradually fades from red to blue (more magnetic to less magnetic) possibly reflecting an overlap of both domains that  is  gradually  thinning  as  the  sharp  transition  is  approached.  This  transition  is interpreted geophysically, by the first author, as a thrust fault separating the respective domains.  The geology of the east‐northeast part of the property can be separated into three basic lithologic types:  1. Mafic Volcanic ‐ massive, plagioclase porphyritic flows, pillow lava and pillow breccia. Light brown to maroon weathering; dark green on fresh surface. <5 to 30%, <5mm sized round,  calcite  or  quartz  filled  amygdules.  Locally,  outer  edges  of  pillows  are characterized by  concentric bands of hematized,  amygdaloidal basalt alternating with nearly massive basalt. Locally crosscut by thin quartz‐calcite‐epidote veinlets and locally, pillow selvages and interstices are epidote rich.  2. Felsic Volcanic ‐ massive, quartz and plagioclase phyric, granular volcaniclastic. Grey‐brown weathering; light green‐grey on fresh surface. Medium to coarse grained. ~30%, <1mm to 5mm sized, rounded to angular, quartz grains. ~50%, <1mm to 3mm euhedral to rounded, white‐grey, plagioclase grains. Also, massive,  aphanitic,  light  green  felsic  volcanic with <2mm  subhedral  to euhedral clear quartz eyes.  3.  Argillite/greywacke  ‐  Penetratively  cleaved,  fine  grained,  dark  grey  weathering; medium to dark grey on fresh surface. Grainy, gritty, greywacke locally interbedded with the argillite.  The geology of the western portion of the Hungry Hill property, specifically the geology in  the  vicinity  of  the  Hungry  Hill  prospect,  can  also  be  separated  into  three  basic lithological types, which are discussed in order of their abundance in the map area.  4.Felsic volcanic rocks

Fine  to  medium‐grained  volcanics  ‐  These  rocks  are  light  gray‐brown  to  white weathering, and are dark gray to green on fresh surface. Typically, these rocks contain <5%,  <5mm  sized,  angular  to  rounded  quartz  crystals  in  an  aphanitic  to  fine‐grained tuffaceous matrix.  Angular  to  subrounded,  <2cm  sized  lapilli  of  tuffaceous material, vesicular rhyolite, and quartz crystal tuff form up to 25% of the rock. Primary layering is only locally preserved and thick sections of these rocks are massive and completely lack primary layering, likely indicative of deposition as air‐fall tuff. Coarse‐grained  volcanics  ‐  The  coarse‐grained  volcanic  rocks  are  only  exposed  in  the immediate  area  of  the  Southwest  alteration  zone.  These  rocks  contain  angular  to subrounded, poorly  sorted, <30cm  sized clasts,  that  locally account  for 30‐40% of  the rock. The clasts consist of: 1) massive  rhyolite with <5% quartz eyes; 2) quartz crystal tuff with  <5%  angular  to  subrounded  quartz  crystals;  3) massive  tuff;  4)  cored  clasts (volcanic  bombs?);  4)  rare  black  chert  and  jasper  clasts,  and;  5)  vesicular  rhyolite. Layering is locally preserved within these rocks, and consists of 1 to 3m thick size‐graded units. The  coarse‐grained  volcanic  rocks  likely  represent a volcanic breccia which was deposited in close proximity to a felsic volcanic centre. Massive  rhyolite  flows  ‐ These  rocks weather  light gray‐brown  to white, and are dark gray  to green on  fresh surface. The  rhyolite  is massive and aphanitic except  for 1‐5%, <2mm  sized  evenly  distributed  quartz  eyes.  In  two  locations,  these  rocks  have  a distinctive  purple‐gray  colour,  and  are  interlayered  with  grey‐brown,  coarse‐grained volcaniclastic  rocks.  The  massive  rhyolites  are  most  common  in  the  area  of  the Southwest  alteration  zone,  and  are  associated with  the  coarse‐grained  felsic  volcanic breccia.  5. Sedimentary rocks The  sedimentary  rocks  comprise  northwest‐facing,  interlayered  greywacke,  siltstone, pebble conglomerate, chert, graphitic slate, and carbonate with minor fine to medium‐grained  felsic  volcaniclastic  rocks.  The pebble  conglomerate  layers  contain  angular  to subrounded  clasts  of  quartz,  chert,  and  felsic  volcanic  rock,  consistent  with  local derivation through erosion of the volcanics and meta‐sediments. The cherts are white to grey  to  black,  finely‐laminated  to  layered,  and  are  commonly  interbedded  with  the greywacke‐siltstone sequences. The carbonate is massive, light gray, crystalline, and was noted  in earlier Granges drill core, and  in two  locations on surface, and  is everywhere interlayered with graphitic  slates.  In one  location, an ~1m  thick, graded  layer of  fine‐grained volcaniclastic  rocks  is conformably  interlayered with  the meta‐sediments. This layer  contains  five, <4cm  clasts  (?) of massive pyrite.  In general,  the  facing directions and distribution of  the  sedimentary  rocks  indicates  that  they  conformably overly  the felsic volcanic rocks.  6. Diorite‐Gabbro The dioritic‐gabbroic  rocks are abundant  in  the  southwestern  corner of  the property, and were  not  noted  north  of  Caribou  Road  (The main  logging  road  transecting  the property). In outcrop, these rocks have a distinctive rusty brown weathered surface, and are dark green‐grey on  fresh surface. The diorite consists of 50‐60%, white‐grey,  fine‐

grained, subhedral plagioclase crystals, and 20‐30%, black‐green, <5mm sized, anhedral to  euhedral,  pyroxene  crystals.  These minerals  are  arranged  in  a  phaneritic,  locally equigranular,  ophitic  texture.  The westernmost  outcrop  of  diorite  is  porphyritic,  and contains 20‐25%, >1mm to 25mm sized, euhedral, pyroxene crystals. The diorite clearly intrudes the felsic volcaniclastic rocks, but was not noted within the meta‐sediments.

 5.0 2007‐08 EXPLORATION WORK

5.1 Description & Implementation  12th year assessment work on the Hungry Hill Property began in early April 2007, when Andrews Exploration, under contract by Celtic, mobilized a crew to the property via the nearby town of Millertown.  The line cutters proceeded to create an 85.3 line kilometer grid  consisting  of  36  lines  ranging  in  length  from  300m  to  2800m,  spaced  at  100m intervals (Figure 5).  Once the grid had been established, prospectors were mobilized to the  site  to  conduct  a  series  of  geological  and  geochemical  surveys  resulting  in  94 samples being collected and analyzed (Figure 6).  A summary of geochemical results can be found in appendix 2.  In a series of three sessions, conducted in mid‐late 2007‐early 2008, Eastern Exploration conducted a ground gravity/digital GPS survey over  the grid consisting of 3656 stations.   A copy  logistic report compiled by Eastern Geophysics has been included as Appendix 2.

5.2 Results  A summary of results for the gravity survey has been provided by John Keiley, P.Geo and can be found below:  A ground gravity survey consisting of 3,603 stations + 53 quality control repeat stations was completed over the Hungry Hill property during three campaigns in 2007 and 2008. The survey was completed by Eastern Geophysics Ltd. Details of instrumentation, survey line  coverage,  technical  specifications,  and  accuracy  levels  are  contained  in  three logistics  reports  provided  by  Eastern  Geophysics.  A  total  of  3,656  stations  of differentially corrected GPS data was also collected at the gravity station locations.  The  survey  results have been  compiled  into a number of graphic  images  that portray density variations in the subsurface. The image included (Figure 7) with this description of results is the calculated 1st order polynomial trend removal of the terrain and free‐air corrected Bouger gravity data. This 1st order polynomial  trend  is a best  fit  to  residual gravity features which are interpreted to arise from bedrock sources. The results show a prominent pair of NE trending gravity highs, shown  in red,  in the SE half of the survey

Survey Procedure A gravity and elevation observation were obtained every 25m on recently re-furbished lines spaced every 100 meters. All the gravity data has been calculated or reduced to Bouguer mgal. values. These calculations correct for the following parameters (1) elevation, free- air correction, instrument height; (2) latitude correction; (3) tide correction on a daily basis; (4) instrument drift; and, if required (5) terrain corrections. In order to verify the accuracy of these corrections, 1.5 to 2% of the readings were observed again as random repeat readings. This contract specifies repeat readings to be no greater than 0.05 mgal. Local gravity base station: For this contract, the gravity is tied-in to the National Gravity Network or the Canadian Gravity Standardization Network (CGSN) station at the Stephenville airport. Stephenville airport base station: # 9234-1977, value = 980917.46 location: 48° 32’ 46” N, 58° 33’ 52” W. Two sub-base stations were established in November, 2005. These Base stations are: 1.) BS # 99, value = 980842.72, location 471735E, 5362317N 2.) BS # 88, value = 980869.44, location 489809E, 5376108N Local gravity base station: The following sub-base stations was used for this

survey: Victoria Mine Area gravity base 1 with a BS value = 980922.36, location 522800.809E, 5398931.846N 176.332m MSL Coordinates in NAD 27 zone 21.

Base station description: On a small boulder near main road approx. 10 m. west of L-11400E about 2 meters south of road. Sutherland’s Pond gravity base 2 with a BS value = 980910.16, location 521018E, 5397547N in Nad 27 coordinates. Base description is approx. 10m north of access road and 5m east of L-233E on

10m north of access road and 5m east of L-233E on

half meter high outcrop in small clearing. Hungry Hill Base station 1 with a BS value = 980907.23 , location 522173.076 E 5394452.607 N 237.866m MSL Coordinates in NAD 27 zone 21. On bolder east of access road, aprox. 10 metres.

Horizontal and vertical control was established from a control point at the Aur Resources, Duck Pond mine site. The value at the mine site is X = 537189.852 E, Y = 5387610.061 N, Z = 279.275 m. (UTM NAD27, Zone 21) Sutherland’s Pond Base value in NAD27 = 5397539.252N, 521007.920 E, ortho
