Legislative Summary Fifteenth Lok Sabha 2009 – 2014

The last session of 15th Lok Sabha ended on February 21, 2014. During its five year tenure, 291 Bills were introduced of which 37 were inherited from the 14th Lok Sabha. While Parliament had a target of passing 328 Bills, it passed only 179 Bills, 116 Legislative Bills and 63 Finance and Appropriation Bills.

At the end of its tenure, 60 Bills are pending in Rajya Sabha which will be inherited by 16th Lok Sabha. The 68 Bills which are pending in Lok Sabha will lapse at the dissolution of 15th Lok Sabha.
