THE FUTURE OF PUBLIC SERVICEIn a world where people have increasingly complex needs, government departments are faced with the challenge of continually improving their operations to ensure public safety and well-being. They also need to deliver top-notch services to transform the way they respond to citizen needs and expectations.

Pro-AV and Integrated Experience Solutions can create secure collaborative environments – like 24-hour command and control centers – where different departments can effortlessly work in tandem, deliver services in new and efficient

ways, reduce repetition and improve customer experiences. This applies across all government services including in transport, defence, police operations, tourism and healthcare.

At a regional level, the need for smarter governance was also put in the spotlight when it was announced in 2018 that the ASEAN countries would collectively work towards smart and sustainable urban development, via the ASEAN Smart Cities Network.

KEEPING ROADS SAFEClear, timely information is critical to keeping roads safe and clear, and commuters and businesses moving. This is especially crucial in fast-growing ASEAN cities as heavy demands on transportation management systems will only increase with time.

Pro-AV and Integrated Experience Solutions offer control room solutions for intelligent traffic systems boasting video walls – showing hundreds of video sources in one domain - which are high performing and offer low maintenance, high reliability and complete display flexibility. Zoom technology on the video screens allow officials to examine unusual visuals more closely. IoT-enabled digital cameras and AI-assisted data and video analytics add to the arsenal of control room AV tools.

ENHANCING HEALTHCARE SERVICESFor hospital owners and operators, AV solutions which have already made a huge impact in upping productivity and boosting patient experiences including video-conferencing, interactive training systems, electronic patient records, mobile devices like tablets and smartphones, paging systems, integrated operating rooms and more.

For instance, digital signs help public hospitals to keep their patients informed on health alerts, waiting times and procedures. Also, video-conferencing solutions not only allow hospital managements to conduct “meetings” with patients and doctors on site, advanced video-conferencing solutions enable doctors to pool their expertise and collaborate across geographies.

REDUCING CRIME WITH AVIn order to reduce crime in the community, the Miami Gardens Police Department installed a high-tech facility equipped with a powerful video wall system where the latest policing tools could be displayed and monitored.

Completed in August 2016, a team of officers, detectives, and crime analysts study the content on the video walls every day. They monitored video analytics programmes, license plate scanners and television news. By uniting their data sources in a single view, the team could visualize crime hotspots, identify connections between crimes, and contextualize incidents within larger trends. Bottomline. It used its resources more effectively, and could work faster to intercept criminals.
