In 1971, the newly established Environmental Protection Agency launched Project Documerica, commissioning photographers to create a massive “snapshot” of America. Inspired by the massive archive of this tumultuous time, modern string quartet Ethel created Documerica, a multimedia project that interweaves stunning projections of more than 3,000 vintage photographs with newly commissioned contemporary music.
