second years. The students in this course have tested at A1 level of English according to the Common European Framework (CEF) on the pre course APTIS placement test. In subsequent years students who have successfully followed the A1 level course in first year and passed their assessments will move to next, A2 level.

ყველა სტუდენტი ვალდებულია გაიაროს ინგლისური ენის პროგრამა პირველ და მეორე კურსზე. ისინი უნდა ფლობდნენ ინგლისური ენის ცოდნის ევროპული სტანდარტებით დადგენილ ( ევროპული სარეფერენციო ჩარჩოს) A1 დონეს (ან უფრო დაბალ), რომელსაც დაადგენს დონის დამადასტურებელი ტესტი კურსის დაწყების წინ. თუ სტუდენტი წარმატებით გაივლის A1 დონეს და მიიღებს დადებით შეფასებას, მომდევნო წელს მას საშუალება ექნება გააგრძელოს სწავლა A2 დონეზე.

Lessons- which are conducted in English. The priority is given to the integration and development of four language skills. Home study - (independent work individually as well as in groups) E-learning and book based tasks.ლექციები- რომლებიც მიმდინარეობს ინგლისურ ენაზე მოცემული დონის თავისებურებების გათვალისწინებით. ენობრივ უნარ-ჩვევათა ინტეგრირებული განვითარება არის პრიორიტეტი. დამოუკიდებელი მუშაობა - როგორც ინდივიდუალურად ასევე ჯგუფურად , რაც მოიცავს ელექტრონულ სწავლებასა და სახელმძღვანელოზე დაფუძნებულ დავალებებს.

12 Aim of the course

კურსის მიზანი

The aim of the course is to develop communicative skills in English.Listening and Reading comprehension and W ritten and O ral expression, communicative interaction and mediation at the A1 level in multiple contexts. At the same time the course aims to promote autonomous learning, self-assessment, and remedial work with the lecturer. This forms part of their development towards achieving the necessary English Language level in an approved examination in order to graduate.

კურსის მიზანია განუვითაროს სტუდენტებს კომუნიკაციური უნარ ჩვევები.აგრეთვე იგი მიზნად ისახავს ენების საერთო ევროპული სარეფერენციო ჩარჩოს A1 დონის შესაბამის შემდეგი ოთხი ენობრივი კომპონენტის: კითხვის, წერის, საუბრის და მოსმენის უნარ-ჩვევების განვითარებასა და გაუმჯობესებას.კურსი ასევე მიზნად ისახავს ჩამოუყალიბოს სტუდენტებს დამოულიდებლად მუშაობის უნარ ჩვევა.შესძლონ თვით შეფასება და ლექტორის დახმარებით გაიუმჯობესონ შედეგები. ყოველივე ეს თავის მხრივ ხელს შეუწყობს ინგლისურ ენაში დამამთავრებელი გამოცდის ჩასაბარებლად საჭირო ცოდნის მიღებას.

13 Outcome of the course and competence

Course Outcome : Subject/Area specific competences: Students will develop all four skills of language (Reading, writing, speaking and Listening) at A1 level on the Common European Framework and move to next A2 level. This is the first step towards the overall aim of acquiring English level and examination technique that will allow students to pass an IELTS examination with the appropriate score for graduation . Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to:

satisfy their basic communicative needs in a range of everyday situations.

write a short, simple postcard, for example sending holiday greetings.

კურსის შედეგებიინგლისური ენის კურსი დაეხმარება სტუდენტებს განივითარონ ენების საერთო ევროპული ჩარჩოს A1 დონის შესაბამისი 4 ენობრივი კომპონენტი (კითხვა, წერა, საუბარი/ მეტყველება და მოსმენა) და გადავიდნენ მომდევნო A2 დონეზე. ეს თავის მხრივ დაეხმარება სტუდენტებს მიაღწიონ ინგლისურ ენაში სასურველ დონეს და ნელნელა დაეუფლონ IELTS-ის გამოცდის წარმატებით ჩასაბარებლად საჭირო ტექნიკას და ბოლოს, დამამთავრებელი გამოცდა ჩააბარონ სასურველი შედეგით. კურსის გავლის შემდეგ სტუდენტი შეძლებს: ნაცნობი, მარტივი ფრაზების გაგებსა და გამოყენებსა ყოველდღიურ

14 Assessment Rule of evaluation (100 scores):(A) 91 – 100 Excellent (B) 81 – 90 Very good (C) 71 – 80 Good (D)61 – 70 Satisfactory (E) 51 – 60 Enough (FX) 41 – 50 Failed, but student has the right to take the exam again and has an extra chance to pass.

( F ) 0 – 40 Failed, student has to take the course again to get the credit.Students will be evaluated during the course according to the evaluation components: Class participation: 10 points Self Study: 15 points Quiz 1 (Progress test 1) - 5 points Midterm evaluation 1 -15 points Quiz 2 (Progress test 2 ) - 5 points Midterm evaluation 2 -15 points Quiz 3 (progress test 3) -5 points End of term evaluation - 30 points

Total: 100 points

Class participation (10 points)This is the level of students’ engagement in the class and their involvement during the lessons.This assessment must be made subjectively by the teacher and is awarded following the completion of the semester. The marking scheme for class participation comprises a maximum of 10 points in the course assessment. This is broken down into the following criteria and marked as follows :

Actively supports, engages, and listens to peers (ongoing), arrives fully prepared, Plays an active role in discussions (ongoing), comments advance level and depth of dialogue, group dynamic and level of discussion are often better because of candidate’s presence - 10-9 points.

Makes a sincere effort to interact with peers (ongoing). Arrives mostly, if not fully, prepared (ongoing).Participates constructively in discussions (ongoing). Relevant comments are based on assigned. Group dynamic and level of discussion are occasionally better, but not worse, because of candidate’s presence-8-7 points.

Limited interaction with peers. Preparation is inconsistent. When prepared, participates constructively in discussions. Group dynamic

and level of discussion are sometimes disrupted by student’s presence.- 6-5 points.

Virtually no interaction with peers. Rarely or never prepared. Comments vague if given; frequently demonstrates lack of interest. Demonstrates a noticeable lack of interest on occasion. Group dynamic and level of discussion are often disrupted by student’s presence-4-3 points.

Negative attitude to course and mostly passive in activities during lessons. No interaction at all .Almost never prepared. – 2-1 points.

Never participates in the lesson and always disruptive. Never comments. Demonstrates no interest and never prepared. - 0 points.

Self Study Programme Assessment (15 points ) This is an assessment of the course work students complete outside of the classroom. This includes:

Exercises from the Students course book and it’s accompanying workbook as set by the teacher with a deadline.

Exercises and activities from the online workbook which accompanies the course book set by the teacher with a deadline.

Exercises from the British Council global LearnEnglish website set by the teacher with a deadline.

Written assignments set by the teacher with a deadline.

Students keep personal portfolios, where they collect printed proof of completion of the E learning programme and home assignments. Students work together in groupings set by the teacher and through peer correction check completion and answers for the physical and digital work.Written assignments will be evaluated by the teacher according to the same criteria as for written mid-term and final evaluation. The marking scheme for self study comprises a maximum of 15 points in the course assessment. This is broken down into the following criteria and marked as follows:

Full completion on time (100%): 5 points;Mostly completed on time (80%): 4 points;Sometimes completed on time (60%): 3 points;Rarely completed on time (40%): 2 points;Seldom completed on time (20%): 1 point;Never completed on time (0%): 0 pointsFailure to demonstrate completion of set tasks will result in that part of the self study course being assessed as not completed. Note: while assessing self study programme, if a self study task set by the teacher is not fully completed by the deadline then it counts as being not completed. So, fully completion of tasks is as important as completion on time.

Mid Term Evaluations:Throughout the semester students will have to sit 2 integrated Mid Terms, which assess the following skills: 1) Reading and Listening, 2) Speaking

and Writing. The share of each assessment to the overall score (100 %) is 15 %.

Quizzes ( progress tests) - Students have to sit 3 tests - Quizzes 5 points each. These quizzes are an accompanying part of the course book and check progress on the grammar and vocabulary covered in the units.

Quiz scores vary depending on the exact one and so a scale will be set on each quiz to convert the quiz score into the assessment score on the scale of 0 – 5.

Reading skills evaluation : The format of the Reading skills evaluation will be the same as in the IELTS examination but set at an appropriate level for the course level.Reading texts are authentic, adapted where necessary so that most of the vocabulary and grammatical structures are accessible to students at this level. However, students are expected to be able to make use of interpretation strategies if they encounter unfamiliar lexis or structures.Simply expressed, two main criteria for evaluating Reading skills are the following:

Understanding of general information Comprehension of detailed information

The tasks can be of different kinds: multiple choice, open cloze, short answer questions, completion and matching tasks, True/False/Does not say. The time limit for the paper is one hour.One mark is awarded for each correct answer. Reading evaluation: 7.5 % of the overall score.

Listening skills evaluation: The format of the Listening skills evaluation will be the same as in the IELTS examination but set at an appropriate level for the course level.All texts are based on authentic situations, students have to identify key information (times, prices, days of week, numbers, etc.) accessible to students at this level..Two main criteria for evaluating the Listening skills are the following:

Understanding of general information Comprehension of detailed information

Questions include multiple choice, short- answer questions, gap filling, completion, matching tasks and labelling.One mark is awarded for each correct answer.Listening evaluation: 7.5 % of the overall score.

S peaking skills evaluation The format of the Speaking skills evaluation will be the same as in the IELTS examination but set at an appropriate level for the course level.The format of the Speaking skills evaluation is s hort exchanges with the examiner set at an appropriate level. Students at this level are only expected to have limited linguistic resources, and it is success in using these limited resources to communicate a message which is being assessed rather than range and

accuracy. Each student will be interviewed individually, which will last for about 11-14 min. The criteria for marking will be the following:

Fluency and Coherence – Do students express ideas and opinions clearly and coherently ,without long hesitation?

Lexical resources- Do students use a wide range of vocabulary? Grammatical Range and Accuracy- Do students use a wide

range of structures and make only a few minor mistakes to understand?

Pronunciation- Are students easy to understand? Do they use English pronunciation features naturally?

Speaking evaluation: 7.5 % of the overall score

Writing skills evaluation:The format of the Writing skills evaluation will be the same as in the IELTS examination but set at an appropriate level for the course level.At this level students are not expected to produce faultless English, but they should write a cohesive message with only minor grammar and spelling errors . Students could be expected to write for example a short letter or email, description of a person, place, thing and short input text or rubric to prompt a written response.The criteria for evaluating Writing skills are the following:

Task fulfillment- Have the students followed the instructions exactly? Have they given a clear, accurate and relevant description of the information?

Coherence and cohesion-Is the writing well organized? Are sentences logically linked?

Vocabulary and sentence structure – Have students used a variety of appropriate vocabulary and are their sentences well constructed?

Writing evaluation: 7.5 % of the overall score

End of term evaluation

The End of Term evaluation takes place in the Mid Year Examination period for students.The test consists of 4 papers testing all four skills (as detailed above in the Mid term evaluations): The criteria for marking will be the same as above.Each paper is given equal weighting and correlates to a score which expresses competence at A1 level on the CEF. Each paper will be used as a benchmark for awarding a score on the course assessment score on the scale of 0 – 7.5. Total: 30 % of the overall score.

კურსის განმავლობაში სტუდენტები შეფასდებიან შემდეგი კომპონენტების მიხედვით:

ლექცია/სემინარებზე აქტიურობა/: 10 ქულა

ამ შემთხვევაში ფასდება სტუდენტთა გაკვეთილებზე ჩართულობა და თუ რამდენად დაკავებულები( აქტიურები) არიან ისინი. იგი ფასდება მასწავლებლის მიერ 10 ქულ ით შემდეგი კრიტერიუმების მიხედვით.

ყოველთვის აქტიურად არის ჩართული აქტივობებში , დისკუსიებში, დიალიგებში, ყურადგებით უსმენს ჯგუფის სხვა წევრებს, არის ყოველთვის მომზადებული. - 10-9 ქულა ძირითად აქტიურად არის ჩართული აქტივობებში , მაგრამ არა

ყოველთვის. უმეტესწილად აქიურად იღებს მონაწილეობას დისკუსიებში, დიალოგებში. - 8-7 ქულა

არ არის აქტიურად ჩართული დისკუსიებში, დიალოგებში . არ არის სათანადოდ მომზადებული გაკვეთილისთვის. მაგრამ როცა მომზადებულია შემოქმედებითად ერთვება დისკუსიებში ,ზოგჯერ ხელის შემშლელია მისი ქცევა. - 6-5 ქულა

გაკვეთილებზე პასიურია. უმეტესად არ იღებს მონაწილეობას აქტივობებში. იშვიათად არის მზად გაკვეთილისთვის.არ იჩენს ინტერესს გაკვეთილების , აქტივობების მიმართ . დროდადრო ხელისშემშლელია მისი ქცევა - 4-3 ქულა

უარყოფითად არის განწყობილი კურსისა და გაკვეთილების მიმართ. პასიურია. თითქმის არასოდეს არ იღებს მონაწილეობას აქტივობებში. თითქმის არასოდეს არ არის მზად გაკვეთილისთვის. - 2-1 ქულა

არასოდეს არ არის გაკვეთილებზე აქტიური, ჩართული. საერთოდ არ იღებს მონაწილეობას დისკუსიებში, დიალოგებში. არ იჩენს არანაირ ინტერესს გაკვეთილის მიმართ. არის სულ მოუმზადებელი და ხელს უშლის გაკვეთილის მსვლელობას. -0 ქულა

დამოუკიდებელი სამუშაო (15 points )- ამ შემთხვევაში ფასდება ის სამუშაო რომელსაც სტუდენტი დამოუკიდებლად, სახლში აკეთებს.რაც გულისხმობს:

სავარჯიშოების შესრულებას სახელმძრვანელოდან და სამუშაო წიგნიდან მასწავლებლის მიერ დადგენილ ვადებში.

სავარჯიშოებისა და სხვადასხვა აქტივობების ონლაინ რესურსებიდან შესრულებას ასევე გაწერილ ვადებში.

სავარჯიშოების შესრულებას ბრიტანეთის საბჭოს ვებ გვერდიდან.მასწავლებლის მიერ დადგენილ ვადებში.

წერილობითი დავალებები.მასწავლებლის მიერ დადგენილ ვადებში. სტუდენტებმა უნდა აწარმოონ პერსონალური პორთფოლიოები, სადაც შეაგროვებენ ყველა გაკეთებულ დავალებებს როგორც ელექტრონული სწავლების პროგრამიდან ასევე ყველა წერილობით ნაშრომს. ზოგჯერ სტუდენტები მუშაობენ მასწავლებლის მიერ დაყოფილ ჯგუფებში და ერთმანეთს თვითონ უსწორებენ დავალებებს. წერით დავალებებს ასწორებს მასწავლებელი იმ კრიტერიუმების მიხედვით რომლითაც სწორდება შუალედური და ფინალური წერები. დამოუკიდებელი სამუშაოები ფასდება მაქსიმუმ 15 ქულით, შემდეგი კრიტერიუმების მიხედვით:

სრულყოფილად შესრულება დათქმულ ვადებში- (100%): 5 ქულა;უმეტეს წილად შესრულება დათქმულ ვადებში- (80%): 4 ქულა;ზოგჯერ შესრულება დათქმულ ვადებში- (60%): 3 ქულა;ხანდახან შესრულება დათქმულ ვადებში- (40%): 2 ქულა;იშვიათად შესრულება დათქმულ ვადებში- (20%): 1 ქულა;საერთოდ არ შესრულება- (0%): 0 ქულა;დავალებაბის არ შესრულების შემთხვევაში სტუდენტი ვერ შეფასდება დამოუკიდებელი სამუშაოს შესრულებაში. შენიშვნა : დამოუკიდებელი სამუშაობეის შეფასებისას ყურადგება ექცევა იმას თუ რამდენად სრულყოფილადაა დავალება შესრულებული და ასევე მნიშვნელოვანია რამდენად დროულად , დათქმულ ვადებში სრულდება იგი . წინააღმდეგ შემთხვევაში დავალება არ მიიგება და მათ ეს დავალება არ ჩაეთვლებათ.

შუალედური გამოცდის შეფასება: სემესტრის განმავლობაში სტუდენტებმა უნდა დაწერონ 2 ინტეგრირებული შუალედური გამოცდა, რომლებიც შეაფასებენ შემდეგ უნარ -ჩვევებს. 1) კითხვა და მოსმენა , 2) წერა და ლაპარაკი . თითოეული ტესტის წილი საერთო ქულების რაოდენობაში -15 %.

მიმდინარე ტესტები : მუშაობის პროცესში გავლილ მასალაზე ჩატარდება ტესტირება. კურსის განმავლობაში სტუდენტი აბარებს 3 ტესტს და თითოეული მათგანი ფასდება მაქსიმუმ 5 ქულით, რომელიც უტოლდება საბოლოო შეფასების 5%-ს. ამრიგად, 3 ტესტის ჯამური შედეგი საბოლოო შეფასების 15%-ა. ტესტში მოცემული იქნება როგორც დახურული და ისევე ღია ტიპის კითხვები და მოიცავს განვლილ გრამატიკულ და ლექსიკურ მასალას.

კითხვის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასება : კითხვის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასების ფორმატი ემთხვევა IELTS გამოცდის კითხვითი კომპეტენციის შეფასების ფორმატს, მაგრამ მორგებულია მოცემული სასწავლო კურსის დონეს. ტექსტები არის ავთენტური,თუმცა

ხანდახან საჭიროების მიხედვით ადაპტირებული, რათა ლექსიკა და გრამატიკული სტრუქტურები შეესაბამებიდეს მოცემულ დონეს .თუმცა სტუდენტებმა უნდა შეძლონ მათთვის არა ნაცნობი ლექსიკისა და გრამატიკული სტრუქტურების ინტერპრეტაციაც.კითხვის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასება მოხდება შემდეგი კრიტერიუმებით:

ზოგადი ინფორმაციის აღქმა/ გაგება დეტალური ინფორმაციის აღქმა/ გაგება

ტესტებში შევა შემდეგი ტიპის დავალებები: სწორი პასუხის არჩევა,მოკლე კითხვები და პასუხები, წინადადებების დასრულება,დაკავშირება, კი/არა/არ არის მოცემული ან სწორია/ არასწორია/ არ არის მოცემული. წერისთვის განკუთვნილია 1 საათი დაყოველი სწორი პასუხი ფასდება ერთი ქულით. კითხვის უნარ-ჩვევა შეფასდება 7.5 %

მოსმენის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასება მოსმენის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასების ფორმატი ემთხვევა IELTS გამოცდის მოსმენის კომპონენტის შეფასების ფორმატს, მაგრამ მორგებულია მოცემული სასწავლო კურსის დონეს. ყველა ტექსტი ეფუძნება ავთენტურ სიტუაციებს. სტუდენტებმა უნდა შეძლონ ძირითადი ინფორმაციის გაგება( დრო, ფასები, კვირის დღეები, რიცხვები, და ა.შ) შეფასების კრიტერიუმი ემთხვევა IELTS გამოცდის მოსმენის კომპონენტის შეფასების კრიტერიუმებს. მოსმენის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასება მოხდება შემდეგი კრიტერიუმებით:

ზოგადი ინფორმაციის აღქმა/ გაგება დეტალური ინფორმაციის აღქმა/ გაგება

ტესტებში შევა შემდეგი ტიპის დავალებები: სწორი პასუხის არჩევა,მოკლე კითხვები და პასუხები, წინადადებების დასრულება,დაკავშირება და დიაგრამების დასათაურება.ყოველი სწორი პასუხი ფასდება ერთი ქულით. მოსმენის უნარ-ჩვევა შეფასდება 7.5 %

საუბრის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასება საუბრის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასების ფორმატი ემთხვევა IELTS გამოცდის საუბრის კომპონენტის შეფასების ფორმატს, მაგრამ მორგებულია მოცემული სასწავლო კურსის დონეს.თვითოეულ სტუდენტს ჩაუტარდება ინტერვიუ ინდივიდუალურად და დაეთმობა დაახლოებით 11- 14 წუთი. შეფასების კრიტერიუმი ემთხვევა IELTS გამოცდის სასაუბრო კომპონენტის შეფასების კრიტერიუმებს. სტუდენტებს ამ დონეზე მოეთხოვებათ ელემენტალურ დონეზე აზრის გადმოცემა.საუბარი ფასდება შემდეგი კრიტერიუმების მიხედვით:

გაბმულობა ; შესაბამისობა დავალებასთან. რამდენად კარგად , თავისუფლად და თანმიმდევრულად გადმოსცემენ აზრს. პაუზების გარეშე .

ლექსიკური მარაგი. არის თუ არა ლექსიკა მდიდარი და მრავალფეროვანი?

გრამატიკული მრავალფეროვნება და სიზუსტე.- იყენებს თუ არა სტუდენტი რთულ და მრავალფეროვან გრამატიკულ სტრუქტურებს ? შეცდომების რაოდენობა ძალიან მცირეა, თუმცა აზრის გაგებას ხელს არ უშლის.

წარმოთქმა- არის თუ არა სტუდენტის წარმოთქმა, ბგერები, მახვილები, ინტონაციები და რიტმი ადვილად გასაგები და ბუნებრივი?

შეფასების კრიტერიუმი ემთხვევა IELTS გამოცდის ლაპარაკის კომპონენტის შეფასების კრიტერიუმებს. ლაპარაკის უნარ-ჩვევა შეფასდება 7.5 %

წერის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასება წერის უნარ-ჩვევის შეფასების ფორმატი ემთხვევა IELTS გამოცდის წერითი კომპონენტის შეფასების ფორმატს, მაგრამ მორგებულია მოცემული სასწავლო კურსის დონეს.სტუდენტებს ამ დონეზე არ მოეთხოვებათ უშეცდომოდ ენის წარმოჩენა, თუმცა უნდა შეძლონ ლოგიკურად აზრის წერილობით გადმოცემა მცირეოდენი შეცდომებით გრამატიკასა და მართლწერაში. სტუდენტებს მოეთხოვებათ მოკლე მეილების , წერილების, პიროვნებისა თუ რაიმე ადგილის აღწერა შესაბამის დონეზე. შეფასების კრიტერიუმი ემთხვევა IELTS გამოცდის წერითი კომპონენტის შეფასების კრიტერიუმებს.

შესაბამისობა დავალების მოთხოვნასთან- დავალების მოთხოვნას პასუხობს თუ არა სრულად და ამომწურავად? მოცემული არგუმენტები მკაფიო და ამომწურავია?

ლოგიკური და სტრუქტურული თანმიმდევრობა.-არის თუ არა ნაწერი კარგად ორგანიზებული? არის თუ არა წინადადებები ლოგიკურად გადაბმული, დაკავშირებული?

ლექსიკური მარაგი და გრამატიკული მრავალფეროვნება. – გამოყენებულია თუ არა მდიდარი და მრავალფეროვანი ლექსიკა და რთული და მრავალფეროვანი გრამატიკული სტრუქტურები?

წერითი უნარ-ჩვევა შეფასდება 7.5 %

ფინალური გამოცდის შეფასებაფინალური გამოცდა ჩატარდება შუა წელიწადში სტუდენტების საგამოცდო პერიოდში. ტესტი შეიცავს 4 ნაწილს. ის შეაფასებს 4 ენობრივ კომპეტენციას. IELTS გამოცდის შესაბამისი ფორმატის მიხედვით, მაგრამ ამავე დროს მორგებულია შესაბამისი სასწავლო კურსის ( A1) დონეს და შეფასების კრიტერიუმი ემთხვევა საერთო ევროპულ ჩარჩოში მოცემულ დესკრიპტორებს . თითოეულ კომპონენტს თანაბარი ქულები აქვს:კითხვითი კომპონენტი- 0- 7.5წერითი კომპონენტი - 0-7.5 მოსმენის კომპონენტი - 0-7.5საუბრის კომპონენტი- 25 %საერთო ქულა- საბოლოო შეფასების 30 %
