Technology for regaining self-confidence
Offering relevant information to people with spinal cord injuries towards regaining their personal independence
Doctors involved in the project (heads of neurosurgery
departments or neurosurgeons from cities in the country)6
From the wheelchair user's point of view, the high degree of accessibility remains the main advantage of the project: the call-centre operator provides real-time counselling on specific problems. That way, the person with locomotor disabilities does not have to leave the house and receives the additional support necessary for regaining personal independence as soon as possible.

In Romania, when a person suffers a spinal cord injury, they do not receive any information in the post-traumatic stage regarding disability and how to lead an independent life from here on out.
The project required setting up an emergency call-centre for people with spinal cord injuries in Romania, a unique initiative that gives patients and their families quick access to all the relevant information, right after the accident.
