Some Cogeneration Optionsome Cogeneration Options Cogeneration using Natural Gas as fuel. Natural gas
cogeneration, generating electricity and heat to be used
on every productive process. ogenerat on us ng o e ven as as ue . o eoven gas is released from coke production, and can beused in steel industry processes where coke is normally
produced and used. Cogeneration using Waste Gas as fuel. Several-
product, which may be used for cogeneration.
Cogeneration using Biomass Residues as fuel.waste wood can be used for cogeneration.

Some Power Generation Optionsome Power Generation Options New High Efficiency Natural Gas power plants. The main such technology is the combined-cycle power plant, which is a combination of gas
turbines and steam turbines, yielding overall efficiencies of about 55% from fuel energy to.
Conversion from single cycle to combined cycle operation.
There are many gas turbines used for power generation, both at power plants and at certain. - . ,
feasible to convert an existing open-cycle gas turbine to combined-cycle operation by addingone or more steam turbines. Substantial additional power is therefore generated, reducingemissions per MW.
New High-efficiency Coal Power Plants. There are several higher efficiency technologies for power generation using coal. These include
fluidized bed combustion, coal gasification and combined-cycle operation, and supercritical coal. ,
conversion efficiencies (up to 46%), and therefore lower emissions per unit of power generated.
Use of the waste gas/heat/pressure to generate electricity. Several production activities generate waste gas, or heat, or pressure as by-product. It use to
generate electricity reduces GHG emissions through reducing fossil fuel consumption.
