Message from President

Why Apply? !!Dear applicant,

!Choice is an interesting obsession which today’s generations struggle with. Among many, there is an

unhealthy anxiety surrounding the importance of the right decisions, and the best action, the

obsession to not make a mistake, to not set out on the incorrect path. I believe that with this frame of

mind, you cannot learn, you cannot develop, and you cannot experience.

By reading these words, you have made a choice; that is to interest yourself in the 17th National

Session of EYP Czech Republic in the city of innovation, new thinking and determination that is Zlín.

With the session theme Step by Step towards Future, myself and the Head Organiser, Kristýna

Stejskalová, are looking to tackle issues which look to stand in the way of innovation and

development of our political, social, economic, and moral world. We want participants to make a

choice, to decide upon which path to follow, and to actively engage in the building of the world to-

be.

In terms of session atmosphere and emphasis, I will look to strike a balance between offering

demanding and well-prepared trainings, and giving ample time for participants to reflect upon their

own vision and reasons for EYP. You can also expect an active pre-session period, with plenty of tasks

and undertakings you’re likely to not have seen before.

Fostering progressive training and self-reflection are only two of my priorities in EYP. What’s more, is

my determination to see development in each and every individual I work with, the thrill of

encouraging my team to challenge themselves, and the fullfillment in supporting them every step of

the way. I am fascinated with the concept of motivation, and embrace the essential need for a vision

and purpose in all we do.

If you can find yourself in my ramblings; in the value of developing, the need for self-reflection, the

thrill of challenge and motivation, and the idea of giving yourself wholeheartedly, unreservedly, and

enthusiastically to a cause, then I encourage you to make your next choice now.
