18th European Stereology Course19–25 August 2000, Göttingen, Germany
An International Stereology course approved by the International Society for Stereology. This course will provideparticipants with a practical introduction to recent advances in stereology. There will be ample opportunity fordiscussion between participants and the experienced instructors on specific stereological problems related to theparticipants’ own projects.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the most recent stereological methods for estimation of volumes, areas,lengths, number and connectivity of objects. The course will encompass not only traditional theory and lecture-roomexercises, but also practical demonstrations.
Teachers: L.M. Cruz-Orive, H.J.G. Gundersen, K. Nielsen, J.R. Nyengaard, M. Ochs, B. Pakkenberg.
Course fee: 750 EURO (or 1500 DM) – includes tuition expenses, course materials, accomodation in doublerooms and meals. Extra charge of 150 EURO (or 300 DM) for single rooms.
