Andrea Gelain took a master degree in Pharmacy and a

master degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical

Technologies. Worked for three years as a

Pharmaceutical technologies researcher in

Pharmaceutical Technologies department of the Milan

Università degli Studi upon the formulation and

preformulation of new conventional release and

modified release solid dosage forms. Since 2016 works

as Process Development Scientist and in R&D

department in Freund-Vector Corporation

Vishal Mhatre is a Pharmacist with 25 years of

Abdelmohsen Soliman has his expertise in evaluation

the effect of new drug delivery systems containing

polymeric nanoparticles in protection and treatment of

some diseases such as Alzheimer and cancer for

improving the health. He worked for more than 20 years

on molecular biology, immunology, parasitology, drug

delivery systems formulations and the biological use of

newly synthesized organic compounds for protection

and treatment of some diseases

Isabell Koinig, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the

Department of Media and Communications at the

Alpen-Adria University of Klagenfurt, Austria. She just

finished her dissertation investigating how different

pharmaceutical advertising appeals are received in a

cross-cultural context. Her research interests

predominantly concern the areas of health

communication, intercultural advertising,

organizational developments and communication

practices, CSR reporting as well as media and

convergence management

Fereidoon Bondarian, Ph.D. candidate of molecular

genetic in Azad University Science and Research

Branch, Tehran, Iran. About 2 years, he is working on

effect of herbal plants extracts and their secondary

metabolites, and effect of their metabolites in

antiprolifrative of cancer like colorectal cancer and

breast cancer.

Tamara Athamneh completed the master in

pharmaceutical technology at Jordan University

of science and technology. She worked as a

tutor student in pharmaceutical technology

department as well as part time lecturer at

Jordan University of Science and Technology.

She is currently doing her PhD in Pharmacy at

Hamburg University and Hamburg University

of Technology

His research interests comprise synthetic organic;

Asymmetric synthesis: Asymmetric Michael Reaction;

Medicinal Chemistry in the field of alzheimer’ disease,

HIV, cancer, leishmaniasis, and malaria; Pharmaceutical

Chemistry: Biotransformation, QSAR In Organic

Chemistry. He is the author or co-author of over 90

scientific papers. He is responsible for the Master

degree in Pharmaceutical sciences

Dinah Weissmann is Alcediag’s Executive VP R&D

and CSO, a biotech company dedicated to the

development of innovative diagnostics based on

epigenetic biomarkers mainly RNA editing. Dinah is

also co-Director of a public-private laboratory,

Sys2Diag, that was created in 2015 and dedicated to the

understanding the molecular basis of complex diseases.

Her research background includes 15 years as Director

of Research at the CNRS (French academic research

institute) and various leader positions in pharma

company and biotech

Dr. Kimberly Stieglitz is a professor of biotechnology

and chemistry at Roxbury Community College and,

since 2005, an adjunct professor of chemistry at Bunker

Hill Community College. She received her Ph.D. from

Boston University Medical School in biophysics and

was a visiting professor at University of Massachusetts

Boston (UMB) for two years, teaching biochemistry

lecture and laboratory sections in biochemistry and

organic chemistry courses. Dr. Stieglitz has published

over 23 articles in peer reviewed journals as well as two

laboratory manuals for general chemistry.

Dr. Kontoyianni holds a PhD in computational

chemistry from the University of North Carolina,

Chapel Hill, and is an Associate Professor of

Pharmaceutical Sciences at Southern Illinois

University Edwarsdville. Before joining the SIUE

School of Pharmacy, she worked in Research &

Development of Fortune 500 companies such as

Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble. Dr.

Kontoyianni’s interests involve the development of

computational methodologies to understand ligand

recognition, and implementation of processes to

accelerate drug discovery. She sits on the editorial

board of several journals, holds seven patents, is a

clinical advisors consultant, and a panelist for the

European Union large scale grant application

proposals, NIH and SBIR.

Mariel PIETRI is currently a PhD student at the

Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis, under the guidance of

the Drs Catherine HEURTEAUX and Marc

BORSOTTO. Her work mainly focuses is the

development of new treatment for stroke and depression,

targeting the TREK-1 channel. Mariel works on the

development of Spadin and its analogs as a new medicine

and her thesis project focuses more specifically on the

protection against stroke.

Serge Bottari, obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at

the Free University Brussels, Belgium. He specialized in

OB/GYN and Biochemistry and was a Post-Doctoral

Fellow and Research Associate at UC San Francisco.

After having been a project leader at Sandoz and CIBA-

Geigy, he became Professor of Cell Biology at the

Medical School in Grenoble and Head of Endocrine

Biology in 1993. He published over 65 articles in

premium journals and is member of several editorial

boards.

Prof. A M Lone completed his Ph.D in Medicinal

Chemistry from Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine

(IIIM) Jammu and is currently working as Assistant

Professor in the Department of Chemistry Govt Degree

College for Women Baramulla. He has expertise in the

total synthesis of bioactive molecules, development of

novel strategies and structural modification of natural

molecules for lead optimization.

Dr. Anil S. Solanki is a Principal at APMC College of

Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Himatnagar,

Gujarat. India. He has more than 10 publication and

guided more than 15 students in Masters in Pharmacy.

He has good research hands on controlled and sustained

release novel drug delivery system. He is also doing

research on nano technology which is likely to have

good outcome.

and Immunology Department, Faculty of Pharmacy,

Cairo University and he has published five papers in

reputed journals.

Dr Asit Kumar Chakraborty was performed his PhD at

Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata and

awarded PhD degree in 1990 from the Biochemistry

department of Calcutta University. He did postdoctoral

work at University of California at Berkeley and went to

Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as

visiting faculty. Presently, he is Senior Research Officer

and Associate Professor of Biochemistry at OIST,

Vidyasagar University.

Buh Amos Wung is currently a research fellow at the

University of Buea, Cameroon. He is a service-oriented

public health practitioner with over six years background

in clinical and teaching environments. Core

competencies include clinical management of patients,

computing, Epi Info, STATA basics and conducting

research as well as excellent communication and time

management skills.

Dr. Dhatrak is working as Assistant Professor at

Department of Chemistry, Savitribai Phule Pune

University, Pune, India. He works in the fields of total

synthesis of natural products and alkaloids. Besides the

total synthesis design and development of novel

instrumentation for chemistry is one of his passions.

Synthesis of naturally occurring pharmacologically

important molecules is an important endeavor for

scientists and the his efforts has led to development of

novel synthetic routes for few pharmacologically

important products.

Dina A. Ghroaba is a Clinician Genetic and Genomic

Physician Scientist and an internationally esteemed

author who has been serving as an editorial board

member of repute journals. She had completed her

M.Sc. in Biochemistry- Molecular Diagnosis of Genetic

Diseases from the Faculty of Science- Ain Shams

University and is currently pursuing Medicine as well as

PhD studies. Her researches aim to serve Diagnostic

Genetics and Gene-Based Therapeutics.

Väino Sammelselg has completed his PhD in 1989 from

Institute of Physics of Estonian Academy of Sciences

and following years was visiting resercher in several

universities of Finland and Sweden. In 2003 was elected

inorganic chemistry professor in the Institute of

Chemistry of University of Tartu, is serving today also

as head of materials science department in the Institute

of Physics. He has published more than 140 papers

referred in WOS database, and has h-index 32.

Gulay Yelken Demirel has a degree in Department of

Chemistry from University of Gazi (Ankara, Turkey)

followed by a master degree in Medicinal and

Pharmaceutical Chemistry (faculty of pharmacy) from

the same university and studied Executive Master of

Business Administration at Istanbul University.

Currently, She has an ongoing PhD in Medicinal and

Pharmaceutical Chemistry (faculty of pharmacy) at

Yeditepe University. She is also a Turkish Patent

Attorney. She has eleven years’ experience in R&D

department of generic pharmaceutical companies. She

worked as formulation scientist at the Pharmaceutical

Technology Department of Nobel Pharmaceuticals.

Presently, She owns the R&D Project Group

Executive position at Sanovel Pharmaceuticals. She

has several published papers in the academic areas and

over 100 patents & patent applications in the industrial

areas on pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Dr. Howida Kamal Ibrahim, Ph.D is a professor of

Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy at Faculty of

Pharmacy, Cairo University and at Misr University of

Science and Technology, Egypt. She got her B.Sc.

M.SC and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical sciences from Cairo

University. She had several publications in different

fields of Pharmaceutical sciences. She is a consultant for

the Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Affairs,

the regulatory body of the Egyptian Drug Authority. She

also works in collaboration with some of the national

Egyptian Drug manufacturers on developing generics

for local registration

Jun Ou has completed his PhD at the age of 40 years

from Sichuan University. He is employed as full

professor at Guilin University of Technology, Guilin,

contributing to research and education in the field of

nanotechnology, inorganic chemistry, biometal

biomaterials including electrospun collagen fiber about

the cell-materials interaction in vitro and photodynamic

therapy. He has published more than 20 papers in

reputed journals and received the China Natural Science

and Guangxi Natural Science grant.

Mahesh Vasava is pursuing Ph.D. in the field of

synthetic organic chemistry from Department of

Chemistry, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India. He

has his expertise in synthesis of novel biological active

scaffolds as well computational chemistry and biology.

His contextual research based on the synthesis of novel

medicinally important moieties creates new pathways

for improving the development of new drug regimens.

He has master degree in Organic Chemistry and

currently he is working on the development of a novel

chemical compounds to fight against mycobacterium

tuberculosis. Moreover, he awarded with the Rajiv

Gandhi National Fellowship for Ph.D.

Pradeep Kumar, Ph.D. Scholar at Amity Institute Of

microbial Technology, Amity University Rajasthan

under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) G.K. Aseri. I have

12-month Experience of Work on Synthesis of

dendrimer and its utilization in pharmaceutical

application from the national institute of Immunology,

JNU Campus, New Delhi.

Rikin Patel is pursuing Ph.D. in the field of

Bioinformatics as well as computational chemistry and

Biology from Department of Botany, Bioinformatics

And Climate Change Gujarat University, Ahmedabad,

India. He has his expertise in developing new tools in

bioinformatics as well computational chemistry and

biology which will help in future drug discovery. His

appropriate research based on the computational

chemistry generates new pathways for improving the

development of new drug regimens. He has master

degree in Bioinformatics and currently his working on

the development of a membrane prediction of novel

chemical compounds. Moreover, His awarded with the

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for M.Phil. and

Ph.D.

Rucha Majmundar Mehta has completed her PhD in

Clinical Nutrition from Bombay University and she

has completed GCP & GvP Auditing studies from

BARQA –UK. She is the director of R Q consultants.

She is an Independent GCP – GvP auditor (Free

Lancer) since 10 years. She developed a Clinical

Research Site in a privately owned small sized

hospital and heading the site till date. She is providing

QA consultation and training to various study sites

and QA department of Pharmaceutical Companies.

She conducts GCP Sessions during Investigators

Meetings globally. She has participated in State,

National and International Conferences of Clinical

Research as a faculty. She is conducting GCP

workshops for Clinical Research Professionals for on-
