A ·native of Erwin, the Rev. Mr. Holt, 33, will preach ihis first sermon at LaFayette on June 22.

After attending Durham High School, he served fa the U. S. Air Force for over three years.

The Rev. Mr. Holt holds degrees from Ca m p b e 11 College, Wake Fo r est University and Southeastern Seminary. He attended the School of Pastoral Care, Bap-tist Hospital, Winston-Salem and has ihad clinical .training at Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh.

He has served as pastor of ,flhe Mount View B a p t i s t Church, Winston-Salem; Nebo Baptist Ohurcll, Marion, S. C., and at Green Sea.

The Rev. Mr. Holt and ibis wJfe, Jackie, have two daughters and a son living at home.

preached by the host pastor, the Rev. Jack B. Wilder. W. V. Sea-groves chairman of the board of deaco~s. presented the Bible to the new minister. The Rev. Ed-ward Lehman, minister of music, gave the charge to the candidafe and the Rev. ·Hubert Mumford, Yates Baptist Assn. superintend-ent of missions, charged the Mountain View Church. The or-daining pastor was led by the, Rev. George Hill.

The Rev. Mr. Holt is a rising senior at Wake Forest College. He graduated from Durham Hig~ School and Campbell College, pn-or to his studies at Wake Forest. He is married to the form~r Jackie Cooley of Durham who 1s a member of the staff of the First Baptist Church, Winston-Salem. The Holts have two daughters and live in Winston-8alem.
