Hymns: Entrance: Come as you are Offertory: Our Supper Invitation Communion: Only a Shadow Recessional: City of God 1st Reading: Isaiah 63:16-17;64:1.3-8 Responsorial Psalm: Lord, make us turn to you, let us see your face and we shall be saved. O shepherd of Israel, hear us, shine forth from your cherubim throne. O Lord, rouse up your might, O Lord, come to our help. God of hosts, turn again, we implore, look down from heaven and see. Visit this vine and protect it, the vine your right hand has planted. May your hand be on the man you have chosen, the man you have given your strength. And we shall never forsake you again: give us life that we may call upon your name.
2nd Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:3-9 Gospel Acclamation: Gospel: Mark 13:33-37 Prayer after Communion: Father, may our communion teach us to love heaven. May its promise and hope guide our way on earth.

The Year of Youth – Information and Resources The Year of Youth in Australia is an opportunity to reflect on the gift of young people in the Church and society and to consider what we do as parishes, agen-cies, schools, and communities through the lens of young people. The Year of Youth begins on December 3, 2017 and will conclude with the celebration of World Youth Day on January 27, 2019. Please contact Peter Bierer for more information 8301 6866, or email at [email protected] or the December issue of the Southern Cross
The Jesse Tree
Week 1 The symbols for our Jesse Tree start with the first sto-ries found in the Bible – God’s creation of the world and of Adam and Eve. Next is the story of Noah and his ark full of animals. The saga of God’s chosen people begins with the promises he made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and his concern for his people is expressed through the story of Joseph and his coat of many colours. 6.30pm Mass Our symbols tonight are Creation and Adam and Eve 9.30am We continue placing the symbols for the first week of advent. The 3
rd symbol is that of Noah and the tent of
Abraham and Sarah is our 4th symbol
Now the family on the Jesse Tree starts to grow. Isaac, son of Abraham, and his wife Rebecca, their son Jacob who married Rachel and had the 12 sons of Israel and Jacob’s son, Joseph with his coat of many colours.

"Our names are Sherin (age 20), and Vivek (21)! Our youth group have organised a Mission-trip to the Phillipines in December, and so this fundraising will be to help with our expenses!
Desired outcomes of the mission trip: • Realising God’s Call in a very inti-mate way. • Exposing to the various realities of life, and seeing the beauty of one’s own life. • Mission experience of spending time with Filipino Natives. • Experiencing a deep encounter and conversion experience. • Taking initiative and responsibilities to evangelise and build the kingdom of God through the Jesus Youth Movement. Our bake sale 9/10 December will include cassava cake, cupcakes, brownies, cutlets, and also an Indian cold drink (mango lassi). If you don't feel like buying, there will be a donation box too! We also have a gofundme page setup where you can donate online: gf.me/u/dgwqb2
We feel that this mission-trip will allow us to grow in our understanding and more importantly, in our faith. Our understanding is that exposure to other cultures and different ways of living, is both a privilege as it is a learning experi-ence, and as such, we both felt a calling for this trip so please help us with our expenses! If you want to contact me regarding this: 0470567611 or [email protected] "
