Swor grew up around the sport of rodeo, watching his father compete in roping and carrying around a rope from the time he was old enough to walk. Today, Swor has competed in PRCA rodeos for more than 14 years and was the tie-down roping champion at Rodeo Austin in 2007. Since then 33-year- old Swor has been a name to watch, winning three rodeos in 2015. “My current horse, Floyd Money, is a good horse and has helped me qualify for the National Finals Rodeo the past two years,” said Swor. “He really loves what he does and I really love to ride him. He’s making a name for himself in the world of rodeo.” Although Swor has been around the block in rodeo, he shows no signs of slowing down. “I love to rope calves and I love to rodeo,” said Swor. “People can say what they want to, but it’s really all about winning, It’s for the love of the game as well, but in the big picture it’s all about winning, because if you don’t win, you’re not making money.” Swor also can thank the sport for introducing him to his wife, Sarah. The two met at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo, where she was crowned Miss Rodeo Colorado in 2013. “Although I love spending time at home, rodeing is fun and as long as the fire is still burning, I’m going to keep going,” said Swor. Swor’s time was a time 7.8 at tonight’s rodeo, which was the fastest time of the performance. See tonight’s results below.
