The market we are dealing with becomes more and more complex and challenges the spare parts suppliers to come up with best solutions of top quality. In order to guarantee the required quality for all the car body parts offered by Autonet, our suppliers benefit from the services offered by the independent testing organizations that specialize in quality testing and assembling of individual spare parts. Best recognized certifications on european level are those given by TÜV, Thatcham and Centro Zaragoza.

These certificates guarantee that the specific products are “spare parts of an equivalent quality”, that are of identical quality compared to the parts used in assembling vehicles (according to BER 1400/2002 Regulation of European Commision).

QWP metal body elements marked with QC (top quality - marked with a QC ending) offer to our partners TÜV certified parts. TÜV is an independent testing organization, headquartered in Germany, with an extended network of branches present in the main economic areas.

It is also the body authorized to issue certifications of compliance and protection in automotive, aircraft, industrial machinery and any other field that requires homologation. Since the metal body parts market has become increasingly aggressive, quality is a major advantage. Parts that have a global recognition in terms of assembly, resistance and interchangeability with original parts, are of great help to our partners in their efforts to become more independent in their work.

The two brands - QWP and TÜV represent a high quality guarantee that the final customer receives the high standard product needed in order to obtain best results. Each

item under certification process undergoes a series of tests required by TÜV Germany.

Below are some examples of tests that are carried out under

the quality certification process of QWP metal body products.

� Declaration of conformity and adaptability

� Material analysis:- plate thickness,- shock resistance test - traction resistance test - vickers hardness resistance test

� Part mounting test:- visual control on vehicle

� Anticorrosion test- corrosion test during which the tested element is exposed in laboratory conditions to a 35°C warm salt water fogg, according to UNI ISO 9227 standards.

� Compatibility of the primer- compatibility of the primer used on QWP with the finishing paint.

With regard to QWP body metal parts marked with a QC ending, Autonet undertakes to provide only elements made of galvanized metal sheet, offering a high protection level.

The process involves the coating of metal by mechanical means, immersion or electrolysis, with inert zinc salts and oxides that react in contact with air, giving the plate a greater resistance to corrosion and due to chemical composition, a stronger and more resistant base for the paint.

General and laboratory tests showed that galvanized metal sheets offer a 15-20% higher resistance to corrosion. About two years of testings on a wide range of materials and finishes with different thicknesses of zinc developped a product that meets the expectations of our partners. This is the product that we offer at the moment.

Our policy requires a strict adherence to all technical prescriptions and compatibilities between welding and cataphoretic priming and we guarantee that we will continue to work in the same spirit. Metal sheet coated

with a traditional cataphoretic primer gives us a product that combines both a high protection against environmental factors and a high degree of resistance to oxidation.

Our suppliers’ warehouse is continuously fed with galvanized sheet, which is the main raw material for more than 90% of the items. The ”galvanized” sheets solution, also reaches out to specific items for older vehicles, such as Peugeot 404 (see picture) or Volkswagen Beetle. These offered items are currently made of galvanized sheet and it is very interesting to observe that they are even exceeding the requirements of OEM stadards.

All the items marked with a QC ending (Quality Certified) have quality certificates, issued by independent testing and certification institutions.
