President Woodrow Wilson, 1913:"Some of the biggest men in the U. S., in the field ofcommerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know thatthere is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, socomplete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak incondemnation of it."[1]

President Franklin Roosevelt, 1933: "The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that afinancial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of

Realconspiracies -- in contrast to mere theories -- have spawned fear, murder, lies, andrevolution throughout history. Driven by greed, envy, or utopian visions, they reflected thedarkness of human nature. No nation or empire has been immune to such intrigue. Betrayal,murder, and convenient wars stain the records of ancient Israel and Judah as well as the historyof mighty empires like Assyria, Babylon, Persia, China, Greece, and Rome.[3] The nations ofRenaissance Europe -- always competing for dominion and commercial markets -- were torn bythe same human impulses.

More recent conspirators such as Lenin, Stalin, and Mao bound their masses to inflexibleCommunist standards that banned the Bible, condemned resisters, and rewarded public tortureand murder. Such cruelty would intimidate the masses into compliance. Hidden behind theiratrocities were Western supporters -- including the financial establishments of J. P. Morgan(father of AT&T), Carnegieand theRockefellers-- which funded revolutionaries and fueled theglobal vision oftotalitarian control.[4]

Few have done more to expose this global agenda than Carroll Quigley, an influential formerhistory professor at the Foreign Service Schools of Georgetown University. You may rememberhim as Bill Clinton's mentor, honored by his presidential pupil at the 1992 Democratic Convention.Ponder this revelation from his 1300-page report, Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World inOur Time:

"There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network whichoperates, to some extent in the way the radical Right believes the Communists act. In fact, thisnetwork, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperatingwith the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operation ofthis network because I have studied it for twenty years, and was permitted for two years, in theearly 1960s, to examine its papers and secret records.... [I]n general my chief difference ofopinion is that it wishes to remain unknown...."[5]

Quigley's next page describes the birth ofThe Council of Foreign Relations(CFR). A driving forcebehind today's global transformation, CFR insiders have helped steer the course of the currentshift from U.S. sovereignty to aregional union under the UN(like the European Union) with openborders between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. He writes,

"At the end of the war of 1914 [World War 1], it became clear that the organization of this [secret]system had to be greatly extended... the task was entrusted to Lionel Curtis who established, inEngland and each dominion, a front organization to the existing local Round Table Group. Thisfront organization, called the Royal Institute of International Affairs, had as its nucleus in eacharea the existing submerged Round Table Group. In New York it was known as the Council onForeign Relations, and was a front for J. P. Morgan and Company.... In fact, the original plansfor the Royal Institute of International Affairs and The Council of Foreign Relations were drawn upat Paris [Peace Conference of 1919]."[6]

In other words, this conspiracy was international from the start. And, beginning with the Britishdiamond magnate, Cecil Rhodes, it was grounded in enormous wealth -- riches acquired throughcapitalism, not through the global socialism it envisions for all but the elite. The key players werepower-driven bankers, rich corporations, and tax-free foundations that controlled the resourcesneeded to buy the cooperation of publishers, media moguls, educational institutions, andgovernment leaders across the political spectrum.

According to the bookBrotherhood of Darknessby Dr. Stanley Monteith, "J. P. Morgan and hisassociates financed the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, conservative groups, liberalorganizations, communist groups and anti-communist organizations."[7]Political affiliations didn't

matter all that much to the elite internationalists who considered themselves above political andnational borders. As Quigley told us, the two main political parties became essentially the same tothem:

"The chief problem of American political life...has been how to make the two Congressionalparties more national and international. The argument that the two parties should representopposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish ideaacceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should bealmost identical, so that the American people can 'throw the rascals out' at any election withoutleading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy."[8]

Both parties used the media to build theperception of opposing positions on key issues, while allthe while building consensus on issues that were critical to social change. That's verified in the

Congressional Record for 1917, which reported that "...the J.P. Morgan [banking] interests.... andtheir subsidiary organizations got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employedthem to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number ofthem to control generally the policy of the daily press of the US.... They found it was onlynecessary to purchase the control of 25of the greatest papers. ...an editor was furnished foreach paper to properly supervise and edit information...."[9]

In the early 20th century, such media control was essential to building the needed public supportfor U.S. participation in World War 1. As in the Soviet Union, such propaganda would helpprepare the masses for a global management system -- initially in the form of a League ofNations.

"The powers of financial capitalism have another far reaching aim," continued Dr. Quigley,

"nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able todominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as awhole."[10]

In 1922, New York city Mayor John F. Hylan described the oppression spread by this treasonousconspiracy:

"...the real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawlsits slimy length over city, State and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of

self-created screen. It seizes in its long and powerful tentacles our executive officers, ourlegislative bodies, our schools, our courts, our newspapers and every agency created for thepublic protection."[11]

Remember, those "powerful tentacles" would prop up organizations fighting to destroy Americanfreedom. "One of Professor Quigley's most shocking revelations," wrote Dr. Monteith, "was the

fact that the American Communist Party was partly financed by J. P. Morgan and Company."Quigley continued:"The chief evidence... can be found in the files of the HUAC (House of Un-American ActivitiesCommittee) which show Tom Lamont [a senior partner in J.P. Morgan and Company], his wifeFlora, and his son Corliss as sponsors and financial angels to almost a score of extreme Leftorganizations, including the Communist Party itself."[12]Did the name Lamontring a bell? It should. This year's senatorial primary between twoConnecticut Democrats featured Edward "Ned" Lamont and Joe Lieberman. Lamont won, whichcame as no surprise to media leaders well familiar with the Lamont legacy. For Ned's great-grandfather was the billionaire Thomas Lamont, chairman ofJ. P. Morgan.

Corliss Lamont, son of Thomas and Ned's grandfather, was trained for his role as conspirator atHarvard, Oxford and Columbia University. His roommate during his studies at Oxford University

was the Fabian (global) Socialist,Julian Huxley, brother of Aldous and the first Director-Generalof UNESCO. In his 1946 book,UNESCO: Its purpose and Its Philosophy, Huxley exposed someof the psychosocial strategies that would conform the minds of the masses to plannedcommunity. He suggested,

"...taking the techniques of persuasion and information and true propaganda that we havelearnt to apply nationally in war, and deliberately bending them to the international tasks ofpeace, if necessary utilizing them -- as Lenin envisaged - to 'overcome the resistance ofmillions' to desirable change. The task before UNESCO... is single. The task is to help theemergence of a single world culture....

"..at the moment, two opposing philosophies of life confront each other.... You may categorize thetwo philosophies as two super-nationalisms, or as individualism versus collectivism... or as

capitalism versus communism, or as Christianity versus Marxism. Can these opposites bereconciled, this antithesis be resolved in a higher synthesis? I believe not only that this canhappen, but that, through the inexorable dialectic of evolution, it must happen...."[13]At Columbia, Corliss studied under humanist professor, John Dewey [see Chronology of theNEA]. He received his PhD in 1928. In his thesis he denied the existence of God and tried todisprove both Biblical truth and the validity of hope in eternal life. If his goals sound similar toCommunist aims, remember that one aim ofbrainwashingwas to eradicate all Christian hope ofeternal life, so that the hope of the masses would be focused on Communist ideology.

Consistent with his socialist philosophy, Corliss chaired the National Council of American-SovietFriendship, a spin-off from Friends of the Soviet Union. In 1946, he was charged with contempt ofCongress for refusing to yield the records of his Communist-leaning organization to the HouseUn-American Activities Committee.[14]

Apparently Corliss Lamont was following his family legacy. According to Wall Street and theBolshevik Revolution by Antony C. Sutton,"...there is evidence of transfers of funds from Wall Street bankers to international revolutionaryactivities. For example, there is the statement (substantiated by a cablegram) by William BoyceThompson a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, a large stockholder in theRockefeller-controlled Chase Bank, and a financial associate of the Guggenheims and theMorgans that he (Thompson) contributed $1 million to the Bolshevik Revolution forpropaganda purposes....

"Of all American business leaders, the one who most vigorously patronized the cause ofFascism was Thomas W. Lamont. Head of the powerful J.P. Morgan banking network, Lamontserved as something of a business consultant for the government of Fascist Italy. Lamontsecured a $100 million loan for Mussolini in 1926 at a particularly crucial time for the Italiandictator. We might remember too that the director ofGuaranty Trust was the father of CorlissLamont, a domestic Communist." [15]Like Julian Huxley, the Lamonts seem to have embraced a notion that is now becomingincreasingly acceptable to Republicans as well as Democrats: A merger of Communism andCapitalism into a "Third Way" orCommunitarianism. The latter is built on a partnership betweenthe public sector (government), private sector (business) and social sector (churches, charities,community groups, etc.). In this convenient communitarian system, capitalism would encouragecommerce and wealth, but the state (regional or world government) would control everything!

It's happening already! The government (national, regional or world) now sets intrusive standardsand measures performance through continual assessments. Deviation from the planned normswill require remediation. Such standards and assessmentsare being applied to the beliefs andvalues of American children![16]

Do you wonder where our God fits into this conspiracy?

Remember, the biggest obstacle to Fascist, Communist or Communitarian triumph is BiblicalChristianity! Of course, today's politically correct, non-offensive, service-oriented "Christianity" --with its dialectic leadership training and postmodern view of God's Word -- fits right in.

But God's unchanging, uncompromising Word can never be squeezed into the mold of the world.It doesn't fit the vision of pluralistic communitarianism. It clashes with the notion of globalsolidarity. That's why Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Hitler killed millions of faithful Christiandisciples. God's Word is simply too "offensive" and "divisive" to totalitarian rulers who demandloyalty to their own ideals rather than to God. So the psalmist asks,

"Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves -- and the rulers take counsel together,

Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,'Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.'" Psalm 2:1-3

Part 2 will give an answer to that question. It will provide more evidence for today's globalconspiracy, show how Islamic terrorism helps the overall agenda, and take an encouraging lookat God's sovereignty. Remember, our God reigns -- no matter how dark the world!

Called "Father of the Social Gospel," Walter Rauschenbusch (1861-1918), grew up in a GermanLutheran immigrant family in New York. He studied theology at the University of Rochester, one ofhundreds of educational and "Christian" institutions funded by John D.Rockefeller. After pastoring aBaptist Church among poor immigrants in New York City for a few years, he joined the faculty atRochester Theological Seminary -- also funded by Rockefeller. In 1902 he became its Professor ofChurch History.

From this prominent platform, he wrote books such as "Christianizing the Social Order" and "ATheology for the Social Gospel."[4] Steeped in "higher criticism" and socialist ideology, he taughtwhat many considered a more relevantand compassionate gospel. As a result, he "changed boththe emphases and the direction of American Protestantism."[5]

Rauschenbusch introduced Jesus "not as one who would come to save sinners from their sinsbut as one who had a 'social passion' for society."[6] He and his comrades established the"Brotherhood of the Kingdom," which unified like-minded church leaders under a commonsocialist quest for an earthly "Kingdom of God."

Their plan would have fit our times! It called for political reform, ecumenical unity, "social justice"(ending poverty), and global peace. To justify its place in "Christian" theology, words like

redemption and regeneration were redefined to fit their socialist ideals.[7]

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Popular church leaders use the same strategy today! Pastor BrianMcLaren's recent book,The Secret Message of Jesus, twists God's Word into an endorsement of anearthly, interfaith Kingdom.[8]Likewise, Tony Campolo's hope of earthly perfection mocks theBiblical promise of eternal life:

"The gospel is not about... pie-in-the-sky when they die.... It is imperative that the up and cominggeneration recognize that the biblical Jesus was committed to the realization of a new socialorder in this world.... Becoming a Christian, therefore, is a call to social action."[9]

In 1907, Rauschenbusch met with the leaders ofFabian socialismin England, Sidney Webb andBeatrice Potter Webb. Unlike impatient Marxist revolutionaries, the methodical Fabians

emphasized peaceful transformation through propaganda and infiltration ofuniversities,seminariesand churches.

Through the years, this socialist movement grew to include Bertrand Russell, H. G. Wells (whowrote Open Conspiracy), playwright George Bernard Shaw, Sinclair Lewis, Theosophical leaderAnnie Besant, and the Communist leader Harry Dexter White who worked with Alger Hisstoestablish the United Nations.[10]It spread through Western nations -- thanks, in part, to liberalchurches that preached its message as if backed by the authority of God.

As you saw in Part 1, theRockefellers and other powerful "change agents" fueled this movement.Their funding would sway universities, seminaries, and churches from coast to coast. It supportedpsycho-social research through Hitler's eugenics program, through London's Tavistock Institute, andthrough various American Universities and institutions. This new "science" would raisepropaganda, persuasion, and mind controlto ever more sophisticated levels.

With Rockefellersupport, Rauschenbusch and his Fabian protg Rev. Harry Ward helpedestablish the Federal Council of Churches (FCC) in 1908.[11] Rev. Ward, through his Sovietconnections and influential positions, would become the main source of Communist infiltrationinto the FCC (later renamed NCC, National Council of Churches), Christian seminaries, andcompassionate unsuspecting pastors and congregations across the country. Communist Infiltration

The following testimonies were given under oath before the Committee on Un-American Activitiesof the U.S. House of Representatives, 83rd Congress, in July, 1953.[12]Robert Kunzig, chiefcounsel for the committee, asked the questions. Manning Johnson, formerly a top member of theCommunist Party, answered this particular set of questions.

KUNZIG: "...the name Harry Ward has appeared in so many of these various organizations andgroups. It seems as if there is almost an interlacing tie-up... through various sects anddenominations. Have you any comment to make on this situation?

JOHNSON: "Yes, I have. Dr. Harry F. Ward, for many years, has been the chief architect forCommunist infiltration and subversion in the religious field.

According to this Congressional Report, Harry Ward also taught "Christian ethics" at UnionTheological Seminary [funded by the Rockefellers],presided over the Federal Council of

Churches, chaired theAmerican Civil Liberties Union, andworked with the Y.M.C.A., Y.W.C.A.and the Interchurch World Movement.[13]

'A very serious mistake of the American left wing during many years... has been its attemptarbitrarily to wave aside religious sentiments among the masses. 'In recent years, however, the Communist Party, with its policy of the outstretchedhand, has done much to overcome the harmful left-wing narrowness of former years and todevelop a more healthy cooperation with the religious masses....'

KUNZIG: "Was deceit a major policyof Communist propaganda and activity?"

Mr. JOHNSON: "Yes, it was. They made fine gestures and honeyed words to the churchpeople which could be well likened unto the song of the fabled sea nymphs luring millions tomoral decay, spiritual death, and spiritual slavery....."

P. Morgan banking conglomerate]... told the others of how Dr.Wards teachings enriched them personally and how histremendous work forbrotherhood,peace, and justice has influenced the nation."

KUNZIG: "...could you give us a summary of the overall manner in which the Communists

have attempted to infiltrate and poison the religious organizations of America whereverpossible?"

JOHNSON: "Oncethe tactic of infiltrating religious organizations was set by the Kremlin, theactual mechanics of implementing the 'new line' was a question of following the... churchmovement in Russia, where the Communists discovered that the destruction of religion couldproceed much faster through infiltration of the church by Communist agents operating within thechurch itself.

"...the infiltration tactic in this country would have to adapt itself to American conditions....In the earliest stages it was determined that with only small forces available it would be necessaryto concentrate Communist agents in the seminaries and divinity schools. The practicalconclusion drawn by the Red leaders was that these institutions would make it possible fora

small Communist minority to influence the ideology of future clergymen....

"...the idea was to divert the emphasisof clerical thinking from the spiritual to the material....Instead of emphasis towards the spiritual and matters of the soul, the new and heavy emphasiswas to deal with those matters which, in the main, led toward theCommunist program ofimmediate demands[or "felt needs"]....

Does the last point sound familiar? It should to those who are concerned about the worldwidePurpose-Driven movement. For Rick Warren prompted that same shift from "the spiritual" to "thematerial." As he told thousands of pastors around the world through his "Ministry Toolbox," thefocus of his ministry has shifted from from faith in God's Wordto service to the world:

"The first Reformation clarified what we believe. This reformation is all about how we act and

operate in the world. It involves the key components of purpose, decentralization, laymobilization, use of technology, and continuous learning. Churches that change are thriving andgrowing more effective. Churches that refuse to change will miss the reformation, and aredying."[14]Rick Warren

Conspiracies have battered the Church for 2000 years -- just as God warnedus. Ever since Jesuswalked the narrow streets of Jerusalem, spiritual battles have challenged Christians to stand firmon His Word and resist the wide ways of the world. Today the battles rage as fiercely as ever.

The Social Gospel of the early 20th century shifted the focus of many church leaders from God'sunchanging Word to the world's pliable illusions. Socialist seminary professors, pragmatic

pastors, and deluded idealists validated their visions with hand-picked Bible verses that "fit" theirsocial message. "Offensive" words like sin and redemption were redefined, contextualized orignored. No need for the cross, since all people were considered essentially good.

Naturally, associalistideals tore away at the old Biblical barriers to spiritualpluralism, the changeprocess accelerated. Even "conservative" pastors -- like their purpose-driven guides -- began toview Christianity primarily as good "deeds, not creeds."[3]

Transformational tactics

Of course they don't. God's Word clashes with the world's vision ofpluralism! That's why Jesussaid, "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world,but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.... If they persecuted Me they willpersecute you... for they do not know the One who sent Me." The world readily accepts Christian love, charity, and willingness to serve the needy. It just can'taccept the source of that love. It wants the fruit of God's Spirit but transplants its roots into the soilof humanism. To succeed in this assault, it fine-tunes the following strategies:

1. Infiltration, then mass conversion to a counterfeit system. In Part 2, we looked at

some revealing testimonies given by former Communist leaderManning Johnson before theCommittee on Un-American Activities of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1953. Here are afew more:

"The plan was to make the seminaries the neck of a funnel through which thousands of

potential clergymen would issue forth, carrying with them, in varying degrees, an ideology andslant which would aid in neutralizing the anti-Communist character of the church and also touse the clergy to spearhead important Communist projects....

"This policy was successful beyond even Communist expectations. The combination ofCommunist clergymen, clergymen with a pro-Communist ideology, plus thousands of clergymenwho were sold the principle of considering Communist causes as progressive... furnished theSoviet apparatus with a machine which was used as a religious cover for the overallCommunist operation."[5]

Of course, they wouldn't call it Communism. Words like compassion and world service felt farbetter.

2. Communitarian partnerships

Today, more than a decade after the supposed "death of Communism," a more pleasing versionis rising like the mythical phoenix out of its own ashes. It's new label? Communitarianism! Like theold system, this upgraded version would control the masses through universal surveillance,personal data files, and a hierarchy of groups or councils (originally called soviets). It's alreadybeing marketed to the public as decentralized leadership, sustainable development, supportivenetworks, and voluntary service.

Does it sound confusing? Here is a simple formula: Communitarian systems are based onnetworks of "partnerships" between the public sector (government), private sector (business) andsocial sector (civil society, including churches). In other words, social sector "volunteers" would

serve the government (ultimately the UN agenda) providing most of the "social services" neededfor the global welfare state.

The catch? The private and the social sectors must conform to the standards (personal,performance, development, etc.) determined by the public sector (the government). Instead ofowningeverything, it would just controleverything. Its standards already include "mental health,"which involve pluralistic guidelines forreligion and values." So within this "compassionate" and"tolerant" socialist system, Christians would no longer be free to serve God as He leads. And thisis just the beginning!

As mass movements such as Rick Warren's Purpose-DrivenPEACE Planenter into partnershipswith the United Nations, White House, CFR and other governmental and policy makinginstitutions, they are pressed into an ever-changing consensus pattern.[6] To continue their

determined march toward "success" (based on unconditional relationships and measurableresults) they bind themselves to the evolving regulation of the global management system.

3. Collective thinking.

Purpose-Driven and Church Growth movements -- as well as the secular transformationalnetworks driven by Peter Senge and Peter Drucker -- emphasize relational vitalityand collectivethinking. As Manning Johnson testified, group thinking and interdependent relationships arepowerful weapons against individual resisters and a Bible-trained conscience:

4. Small groups and the dialectic process

To "control the remaining 90 per cent" who act and think on an individual basis, formerCommunist leaders assigned alltheir subjects -- workers, managers, prisoners and students -- tolocal "soviets" (groups or councils) where they were trained in Georg Hegel's dialectic process. Theyhad to

"Share" thoughts and notions. [Now cheered as "authenticity"]

"Confess" contrary attitudes. [Brainwashing and "Education Reform"]

Write "self-criticisms" for group evaluation.[When Iron Gates Yield]

"Celebrate" Communist ideals and heroes

"Commit" themselves to follow the group consensus.

Practice what the group (led by the facilitator) decides. [PRAXIS]

This dialectic process is now the centerpiece of the world's management systems. Designed toconform all minds to a common vision and mission (purpose), it calls for ground rules that bandivisive truths but demand tolerance for the world's corrupt values.[8]

This process was described in our article "Small Groups and the Dialectic Process," whichsummarizes the strategies taught in Leading Congregational Change (LCC). "This is a book youought to read before you change anything," wrote Rick Warren in his hearty endorsement on theback cover.[9]

The LCCshows us that the dialectic group doesn't operate in a vacuum. It's part of a system thatcontrols the planned transformation with vision-casting, team-building, top-down standards,force

field analysis,capacity building, andservice learning. To persuade church members to go along withthe transformation, leaders must continuallycreate tension through crisis, thus arousedissatisfaction. Forget God's call to "be content" in Him. That doesn't fit the plan for continualchange through unceasing agitation.

This unbiblical program follows the sameTotal Quality Management model embraced bygovernments, corporations, education systems, the United Nations and other organizationsaround the world. Do you wonder where the Holy Spirit fits into this scheme?

Written by James H. Furr, Mike Bonem, and Jim Herrington, the LCCwas published by Jossey-Bass, which works closely with thePeter Drucker Foundation(renamed Leader to Leader). "Wethank Rick Warren," it tells us, "for the opportunity to reach and refine our understanding ofcongregational transformation as part of Saddleback Valley Church's Purpose-Driven ChurchConference. ... We also saw many applications in Peter Senge's The Fifth Discipline...."[10]

When assigned to a group, members are encouraged to eat together, play together, serve thecommunity together, and do short-terms mission trips together. There's nothing wrong withChristian togetherness. But in this context -- created by trained facilitator/leaders -- every eventbecomes a practice session (p raxis) in group dialogue and "Repressive Tolerance." The latterrefers to "intolerance against movements from the right, and toleration of movements from theleft." [See "Cultural Marxism" and "Three kinds of group relationships."][11]

Resisting Deception

Well aware of the struggles and temptations His people would face, God gave us Scriptures thatboth warn and equip us. Here are three worth remembering:

"As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Himand established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Bewarelest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition ofmen, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ." Colossians 2:6-9

"And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is nogreat thing ifhis ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose endwill be according to their works." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

But "thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, mybeloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable...."1 Corinthians 15:56
