    Fluid Mechanics - Course 223.0

    OBJECTIVES

The student will be able to:

    1. Define the following: pressure, mass flowrate, volu-metric flowrate, density, velocity, and will be able toperform simple calculations using these definitions.

    2. Perform simple calculations and solve simple problemsinvolving the change of static pressure with depth.

    3. Explain how velocity and pressure change in a pipeworksystem with steady flow and with changes in flow.
