    Why does Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky

    support AIKCU students and the liberal arts?

    Our environment is probably not so dierent rom othercorporations nowadays where competition is tough

    and proft margins can only be increased as a result ocontinuous improvement and breakthrough businesspractices. Also, we rely heavily on team eort and worktoward organizational excellence rather than individualexcellence. We solve problems every day based on actand solid analysis rather than to jumping to conclusionsand attacking the wrong problem. In our ast pacedenvironment, it is absolutely necessary to have completeand thorough communication in order to understandorganizational needs. And while our environment giveseveryone more than enough work to do while on the

    job, we encourage our team members to give back totheir communities when they can.

    So, why have we been so successul withgraduates rom independent Kentuckyschools?

    Because these students are eectiveproblem solvers;

    Because they can think critically andhave solid analytical skills;

    Because they can work well with others

    in a team atmosphere;

    Because these students can speak andwrite eectively;

    Because they are creative risk-takingthinkers not satisfed with the statusquo;

    Because these graduates becomeimportant and giving members o thecommunities in which they reside.
