a vivirlos.
Cierra tus oídos a toda falsedad; mis labios o palabras mentirosas, egoístas, mordaces o hirientes.
derrame a mi paso.
Amen

From the Pastor’s Desk
How was your Christmas? I hope it was filled with love and joy with your family, especially children playing around. American children received presents on Christmas Day. Good gifts always bring joy to young and old. Good gifts leave us feeling happily amazed at how loved we are. The best gifts are not necessarily expensive in material terms, or designed to impress. They are costly in a different way: costly because of the time they have taken to make, perhaps, or the trouble to which the giver has gone to find out what someone might really need. In return, we naturally feel that we should give something back in gratitude. What should we give God back as our gift for giving us His son Jesus at Christmas? As wise women and men we present to God 3 gifts each Sunday at Mass: 1. The gold of our good deeds of the week that just ended as we did our best to be true Christians, true disciples of Jesus in word and action. 2. The incense of our fervent prayers of gratitude for blessings received and our petitions for what we need and those we love may need such as health, forgiveness, a job, family unity, and that grown children may also go to church. 3. The myrrh of our daily struggles, problems, setbacks, illnesses to unite them to the Cross of Jesus asking for a fervent faith and unwavering hope to continue our life journey sustained by prayer, the Word of God in the Bible and the Eucharist. Let us bring to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, our gold, our incense and our myrrh each Sunday when we come to mass. Fr. Jerry
