March is Women’s History Month and Chinqua Penn is celebrating with a special focus on Betsy Penn and her Mother during house tours.

Spring is starting to show its face on the grounds after all the snow. The first snow-drops are blooming; crocus and daffodils are on their way up.

Also new in March, Lynn Dyer is offer-ing a mixed level yoga class at the Green-house. Classes are on Tuesdays (2:45 – 4:00 p.m.) and Thursdays (3:30 – 4:45 p.m.). As the weather warms, she hopes to move the classes out to the gardens.

Don’t miss the Snowflake Ball on March 20th to benefit the Free Clinic of Rockingham County. Come out and support this worthwhile cause and see Chinqua Penn in a way you never have before.

Grove has been busy bottling, so look for new Chinqua Penn wines soon!

Visit Chinqua Penn at 2138 Wentworth Street, Reidsville; 336-349-4576; www.chinquapenn.com. Regular hours are Wednesday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The last house tour begins at 4:00 p.m. Wine Room hours are Wednesday – Saturday, 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
