Very seldom I get excited because of interface

design.

The best interface design goes invisible, while the

crap, you can't spend all your life moaning

But this Twheel is a great exception. A Twitter

client for iPhone where everything goes upon an

intuitive wheel.

The Flying House

Ok, this is an illustration. But a real flying house,

it exists.

It has been built through the years by Annunzio

Lagomarsini (a very nice chap), in Castelnuovo

Magra, near La Spezia.

Here a description:

"Sometimes dreams come true, particularly when

the dreamer is gifted with as strong a will and as

many of the skills as Annunzio Lagomarsini has.Now 73, Annunzio retired at the age of 42, after

an adventurous life as an engineer on steamships

and a successful career as a builder.

He didnt retire because he no longer felt likeworking, but rather because he wanted to

dedicate himself to his imagination and his

inventions. Despite strong skepticism on the part

of family and friends, he succeeded in

painstakingly building his flying house, a feat

which took him seven years of hard work. He and

his wife have since been living in this house for

eleven years. The cottage measures 120 square

yards and can be lifted to a height of 33 feet. At

the push of a button, the whole structure,

weighing about 5.5 tons, and suspended some 33

feet above ground, can revolve in a complete

circle. Pushing another button causes the house to

move on its tracks

San Rocco, Book of Copies

San Rocco group, will present a new project at the

forthcoming Venice Biennale of Architecture: "Thebook of Copies".

A very nice project indeed

This is their explanation:

"Books of Copies" is an online database comprised

of images that can be copied in order to produce

architecture. As such, "Books of Copies" are

receptacles of a collective form of knowledge thatwe can provisionally call "architecture".

"Books of Copies" are organized according to a

precise set of rules and are produced by a

multitude of producers. "Books of Copies" arebased on an inherently derivative and collective

effort, starting with the zero-degree act of

accumulation of formal knowledge, namely

"collecting".
