The Texas Rowing program looks to add the 2012 Conference USA championship to its trophy case off the heels of winning the Big 12 Championship two weeks ago in Oklahoma. The Longhorns won their fourth straight Big 12 title by the narrowest of margins, a slim one-point win over the Oklahoma Sooners, by winning three of six races.

Texas continued its momentum after competing in the Lake Natoma Invitational in April, posting its best overall finish in three years. Graves and her staff have juggled lineups in recent weeks in order to find the win-ning combination.

“I saw people pushing really hard on all of the pieces (before the Big 12 championship) and felt that there was really for the first time ownership of the (varsity) boat,” Graves said. “On the row back when they weren’t racing, they just took off.”
